Amazing environment, very detailed interior design! Food was amazing I loved the spicy broth and had a lot of ingredients, something for everyone! You can make your own dipping sauce and there are fruits available! Highly recommend' staff are so welcoming and friendly!

Solid hot pot spot in Chinatown. They don't serve alcohol so BYOB! The spicy broth wasn't super flavorful (we got medium spicy) but everyone enjoyed the tomato broth! Also shout out to the free coconut milk with sago by the sauce bar, perfect dessert.

All the foods we order are delicious and the meat is fresh, the three broths is very good. The only thing to be insufficient is service, the attitude. A male waiter stood like a doorboy around the entrance and looking at everyone all the time, or security? without smile, wave for service and not giving a response even he saw my hand waving, while he walking around also with his poker face. When got him to serving my table, he did not respond to any response when I asked, i don't even know he hear me or not, and he just left. This is very annoying and feel depressed during the time there

I'll start by saying this was my FIRST hot pot experience. When you enter, you use an itablet to check in/join the waitlist. When you're table is near ready, you're provided with an portable tablet that is assigned to your table. You use it to order and for any wait service needs. As newcomers, we didn't think to ask for assistance but presumed, it'd be like Korean bbq or fondue. It is similar but the broth you select is what you'll use to cook your selected items (seafood, veggies, meat, etc). You're able to select up to three, which are also great tasting broths to consume with some of your cooked items. Before you get started, there's a table with condiments, including sauces and a few other food items (seaweed, spicy pig feet). You'll want to select a few to accompany and/or season your selections. We tried the 8 second Waygu beef ($64), braised pig feet and 2 minute spicy chicken gizzards on a stick. Of the three, the 8 second beef was the winner. Worth every penny. Growing up in the south, I've eaten pig parts and gizzards but imo, these were a bit different. Not terrible, but I wouldn't order them again. On the other hand, I did enjoy the spicy pork feet. I definitely plan to return and look forward to trying the seafood. One more things. The absolutely lemon is heaven in a cup!

We were in Chicago for a conference, and we decided to walk around China Town. It started to rain, we entered the first place that was closer to us. I wasn't planning on eating. But when they sat us down Antonio (I believe that's this name) served us water, it was my first time eating hotpot and he helped us understand the menu and he was friendly and amazing!!! I enjoyed it so much that we went a second time and we brought two more people. I loved the sauce bar that they have and the coconut milk, it was delicious. I also liked that the music wasn't loud. I want to come back to Chicago just to eat there again lol.

Definitely love hotpot during the winter, and took a trip to Chinatown to grab some. Now normally Happy Lamb is my go-to spot, however since they are always packed (1-2hr hr waits sometimes), I chose to go to Shoo Loong Kan which is near the entrance of the old chinatown area. Such a cute spot, and when I went for dinner there was no wait! Got seated immediately, and ordering was very easy since it's done via ipads at the table. Service was super friendly & fast as well. Now this isn't AYCE, however the prices were fairly reasonable considering ($100 for 2 people, i was FULL). The quality of the meats and veggies were good as well, and they have an extensive sauce bar selection too. As a bonus, they offer aprons so you don't splash hotpot broth on yourself / clothes (very appreciated!)

Such a great variety of hot pot ingredients and options and very clean interior! Definitely a solid hot pot spot in Chinatown. I would highly recommend getting the duck intestine and beef aorta; I have never really seen them on a hot pot menu before so it was my first time trying it. As a tripe lover, I thought the texture and taste was even better than tripe. This place has a great sauce bar and extra snacks / fruit as well.

I'm salivating thinking about their tomato broth. I normally stick to the spicy soup base but my friends recommended the tomato. It is SO good, super rich and flavorful. The meats were average, what you would expect at any hotpot place. The restaurant is clean and the service was good. I like that they had buckets to put coats in so they don't smell.

Shoo Loong Kan Hotpot situated at the corner for Wentworth and Archer is an easy and convenient venue to meet up. Their extensive menu of meats and vegetables makes for a solid place to dine. I especially like their condiments bar with a full variety of dips, sauces, oils and butters. Leave room for their fruits and sweet soups after your meal!

Winter time in Chicago is always my favorite time to get Hotpot! I've been wanting to try out Shoo Loong since they opened and was able to make a reservation fairly easy. It was a lot fancier inside than the previous hotpot place that was there and the hotpot pots are very nice as well. The meats and veggies were all delicious. I love spicy, so I was excited about the spicy broth - just beware of the peppercorns (I bit into one and couldn't taste the rest of my meal bc of the overwhelming taste and sense in my mouth from the peppercorn). This location is also a bit pricier than other Hotpot places, so I'll only be coming back for special occasions. Overall, a nice experience and service was great!
