I've been to this cute neighborhood spot twice now but have only gotten to reviewing it now. The decor is cute and I like how much sunlight streams into the space, and the service has always been nice and friendly even though it's a small team (we love supporting local + family-owned businesses!).Now onto the food - last time I got the udon pad Thai which I thought was a fun way to eat pad Thai. This time I got the fish cakes as an appetizer and the crispy rice salad as a main. The fish cakes are well spiced and fragrant and I enjoyed them and the little cucumber salad they came with. They have a lot of interesting appetizers so next time I want to try the chive dumplings and/or the shrimp in the blanket.I ordered the crispy rice salad because I saw great reviews for them and it caught my eye because I love a crispy item and the crispy rice puffs sounded so good. They are really great, although the red curry paste def gives it a kick so it's spicy but not unbearable (reference point I am decent but not amazing with spice and Thai spice usually is pretty spicy for me). Definitely worth trying and I've not had anything quite like the crispy rice balls. Such good texture and very fragrant - you can taste the lime juice and herbs.Lastly, I got their taro pearls with coconut milk, which reminds me of the Filipino dessert ginataan. Warm, cozy and perfect way to end a meal especially on a cold day. The verdict is I'm glad this restaurant is in the neighborhood and I would definitely come back and try other things on the menu.

I wish I could tell you what it was like, but they never delivered our food despite saying it was on the way via email and a phone call.

I ordered delivery from doordash and after waiting over an hour and a half it was still showing the restaurant was still making the order. I finally got ahold of the driver assigned to my order and they told me there was no chef and I had to cancel the order. After more back and forth with Doordash Customer Support I was finally able to get a refund, but it wasted 2 hours of my time and I was by now extremely hangry! The least the restaurant could have done was call if they had a problem, or cancelled it right away instead of accepting it and showing that it was "in progress." Needless to say I would never order delivery from them again.

This is literally the worst Thai food I've ever had, and the service experience was abysmal. When I ordered for pickup, they gave me a 1+ hour pickup time, which I found a bit long, but figured they were busy. Got the notification, went to pick up the order. The place was a ghost town--I didn't see many, if any, people inside the seating area. No one was behind the counter, nor did anyone come out once I walked in. I saw a bag with my name on it, so I waited for a bit, no one showed up, I took it home. I got the papaya salad and crispy pork and Chinese broccoli. Both terrible. Papaya salad had no spice, no dried shrimp, hardly any flavor at all. The pork was so hard and overdone that it hurt my teeth. I couldn't eat either of the dishes. To sum up: this place took an hour to make two horribly worse than subpar dishes, when they obviously were not busy and couldn't even show up at the front of the house. I will never order from here again, and I wish I never had.

Went to Rainbow for the first time a couple of months ago and it was great. Food tasted authentic and I was so glad to have my native food so close to me. However, the past few times I've tried to call in an order no one picked up the phone. I'm not sure if the number listed on Google is correct, but I've tried calling different times/days during business hours with no luck. My husband has also tried to walk in and order and had to wait over 5 minutes before having to shout for someone to come out from the kitchen. Seems like there was only 1 person working and there was a huge language barrier and the person couldn't understand what my husband was trying to order and on one else was around to help so he just left. I think they're severely understaffed right now. Until they can get their stuff back together we probably won't be back and it's a shame because their food was actually pretty good.
