This was a delicious meal with absolutely HUGE portions!! Even though we got the "small" pasta size, it was enough to last 2 meals!! First, we were started off with a complimentary sourdough like bread that was incredibly soft on the inside. This was paired with herb infused olive oil. We got the tri colored tortellini, which was marinated in a beautiful creamy basil sauce and coated deliciously. They were so generous with the chicken!! The chicken scallopini picatta was also delicious with a lemon caper sauce and very tender chicken breasts. Loved the angel hair pasta it was served with! We were seated immediately on a weekday lunch with plenty of seats to spare. Our server was friendly and helped explain the menu. Highly recommend!!

This is a required visit each time that I come home to visit from SoFlo. The food is always the same, and the faces are smiling at every visit. I love this place. I love the fruits di marre, the pizza, the ambiance.I love the energy. My son compares pizza to his pizza here. There's no competition. No matter how many new buildings come up, this place is still old Hyde Park where you receive a warm welcome and neighborhood love. Whether it's the servers or takeouts, they take good care of us. Jennifer even spread a little love and dropped off a cookie for my son during the wait. It's the little things.

I have been coming to pizza capri for about 20 years. Today would be the only day that I can remember receiving bad service and food. Javier was my server. I came alone for lunch and had the tequila lime chicken. The sauce was so salty, it was almost inedible. My server never once checked on me, not once, so I didn't have a chance to tell him how salty my meal was. So I just ate and drank water. The older gentleman pouring water is so nice and attentive, every time I have seen him he has been this way. Finally, Javier came to my table and handed me the bill. He did not ask how everything was for me. He didn't even ask if I wanted dessert or anything else. Such a disappointing experience.

One of my go to's for decades. The BEST Caesar salad I've had in the Chicagoland area. The creamy garlic shrimp is amazing. I often add spinach to it. It's a garlic lovers dream. Pizza Capri really surprised me! This is my second visit, my first being a couple years ago and this time I had the Cherry Tomato Salmon and it was delicious! The lemon caper sauce was the star, the spinach was delicious; firm, garlicky and not over cooked. The salmon was perfectly medium as I requested. The leftovers are great the next day and the French bread is sooo good! You won a customer!
