We had a fantastic dinner on Friday night. We feasted on potstickers, shrimp toast, pork fried rice, a ginger garlic steak dish, spicy garlic green beans and sesame noodles. It was our first time in the restaurant so we wanted to try a bit of everything. Every single dish was fantastic. We also shared a pot of hot jasmine tea. We are full and happy and apparently I was forgetful in my bliss. I actually forgot my purse in the restaurant that had my license, credit cards and much more cash than I normally carry. Little Lans tracked down my name and cell phone number and called me that they had my bag. I was blown away by their honesty. The food alone would have sealed the deal because we enjoyed so much but their thoughtfulness was next level.Little Lans now has a loyal customer and I highly recommend.

Don't order from!! Ordered for delivery at 5:30p and they promised delivery No later than 6:45. As it had not been delivered yet, I called, again. They hadn't even finished cooking!Needless to say, we went out to another restaurant. (We cancelled the order after 1.75 hours.)

We just moved to Highland Park. We wanted oriental food so we found this restaurant. They promised delivery by 6:20. - 35 minutes after order. It is now 6:45 and our Uber delivery man just texted us that the food is "cooking" according to the restaurant "many orders"There are other restaurants out there.Do not order from this place!!I am only giving this dive a 1 star as Yelp won't let me post.

Love this family-owned restaurant! Jeffrey and his mom are attentive, sweet, plus the food is delicious! This is not the typical greasy, Americanized Chinese food you get at some other Chinese restaurants. The food quality and quantity are generous and their dishes use fresh ingredients. The restaurant itself has about 5 tables, but is nicely set up and in a great location. Street parking is easy, the neighborhood is cute with many other stores in the area if you're looking to do something before getting a meal. We had:Potstickers: Delicious! The skins were the thinner kind and were a little chewy, but the filling was perfectly balanced and it was fried just enough to have that crisp and chew. Crab rangoon: These blew me away. I'm used to small crab rangoons, or rangoons that skimp on the filling. The crab rangoon here were huge, with plenty of flavorful filling.Family Tofu: This was surprisingly my favorite dish, being a non-vegetarian. The tofu was thick and meaty, the veggies were all super fresh, and the sauce wasn't overpowering or too cornstarch-y, like so many places can be. Asparagus & Pea Pods: The veggies were large, surprisingly fresh and tender, with the lightest and most basic of sauces, that just let the veggies shine.Beef & Broccoli: This wasn't the usual greasy mess you find at other restaurants. The broccoli was tender, the beef was velvety soft, with a delicious brown sauce.Basil Chicken: This one was admittedly a little salty, but loved the chunks of chicken and the simplicity of the dish. Chicken Lo-Mein: The chicken was super tender and soft, the veggies were fresh, the noodles were bouncy/tender. Will definitely be back - it'll be one of our go-to restaurants from here on out!

Food was great! Rarely can I say that with Chinese food around here. It wasn't greasy, portions were decent, and menu was plentiful. Nicest staff here. No screaming like other places you'll go to!

Food is delicious. However, on Christmas day, desperate, with no food, transportation, family or friends, I called, and they said they weren't delivering. I said I live 240 ft away (I normally walk), and the snotty guy (not the owner) insinuated why can't I walk. I said my heat was out and I'm sick (I've been freezing to death all weekend in a Hoffman Property apartment). He said he couldn't come until 8:15. I said defeatedly Well, I guess I'll starve. Then he hung up on me. Mind you, I was going to order $60 worth of food and leave a 30% tip, because of the weather and the holiday. On Christmas. I'll let you be the judge.

Good food, especially for carry out. We followed little lans from Wilmette to Winnetka, over 20 years.The service had occasionally been spotty , but in the last several years it has become reliable again. The dining room is also quite pleasant.Hot & Sour Soup is excellent as is the hot pork and green beans.

We love their food!! Especially the Family Tofu & all the fried rice varieties they offer. Seems always fresh...nice quiet location. I know they can get busy with deliveries bc they get so many orders but if you pick up, should be pretty quick.
