Elly's Pancake House

Awesome place to have breakfast. This was our first time to come here. The food was great and tge service too. Tried the spartan sandwich and the breakfast omelettes. I was great. Would come back to try another dish in the menu.

This business opens at 7am. The restaurant was clean and the server was friendly, even letting us in 10 minutes before they opened. The pancakes are delicious and bacon was cooked perfectly! I'll go again next time I'm in the area.

Menu options have more flavor options than a regular breakfast/brunch spot. I liked the corned beef hash, usually it's bland from other places. My friends food was pretty good- nothing outstanding.. service was subpar. The energy from everyone was cold not very welcoming for breakfast service.

Stopped here for breakfast one Saturday morning and it wasn't very busy. Breakfast was average. Coffee was fine. Service was fine not outstanding. Would I go here again? Maybe.

Elly's usually offers a pretty consistent experience regardless of the one you go to but this one missed the mark, at least when I went. The food was just ok, and the service was pretty off even though we went on a Monday when it was pretty empty. I'd hate to see the place when it's busy with that kind of service. If you do go, the food isn't awful, just make sure they're getting your order right as you order.

Walked in. They sat us down. 10 minutes later they brought us coffee. No one came back for the 15 minutes we waited after that. This place should be ashamed of itself. It's like no one knew or cared that we were there. If I owned a restaurant, I would never treat my customers that way. Shameful actually. My first bad review. And well-earned might I add. Would leave zero stars if I could.

I found this place on google maps as the closest breakfast place to me. Friendly faces behind the masks greeted me as soon as I opened the door. I ordered coffee and eggs Benedict. While I was enjoying the coffee and waiting for my breakfast, I've noticed everyone who was not busy serving a customer was cleaning around. One person was cleaning the light fixtures above the tables! One other person was cleaning the hostess/cashier station and the juicing counter behind it. He moved,cleaned and disinfected every appliance. I was astonished.The place was spotless. The breakfast was very good, just the way I requested it. I've been there 2 or 3 times already and every time is the same delicious food, great coffee, friendly faces and very clean place

This place is great. Excellent customer service. Food is awesome. Cooked very well and came out fast. I came back the next day. If I had anything negative to say it would be that they should introduce themselves when they seat you. Still don't know the name of my servers. Atmosphere is relaxing. This would be my new favorite spot when I come to Chicago.

We were there on a week mid-day to have a late breakfast. The restaurant was empty so finding a place to sit was not an issue. It's dingy and appears to be dirty, even the menus were sticky and dirty. We won't go back - the food was ok at best and couldn't wait to leave. This place needs renovations from top to bottom.

A lot of these bad reviews are so silly My husband and I LOVE Ellys. We went here one time and made it our breakfast spot ever since. We've been dining at Ellys for the last 3 years and have never had a bad service experience. The food is great. Service is great. The restaurant always seems clean. Big shout out to Abraham, one of our favorite waiters. He always goes above and beyond every single time.
