Dog Haus

Who let the dogs out? Nobody- they're in the Dog Haus! Let me start off by saying that the food looks better than it tastes. I feel like part of the draw to this particular restaurant is how "instagrammable" the dishes are. You can see this in the pic attached- this'll do wonders in the right TikTok. HOWEVER! Despite being average food, it was great after a night out. My partner brought this home one evening and I had never been so excited for a corn dog and cheese fries in my life.All in all- there are better hot dogs in Chicago, but I wouldn't say no if someone offered me something from Dog Haus!

I had really high hopes for Dog Haus. I was truly disappointed in the "Too Chi" hot dog and the tater tots. The food was just not good, and the Chicago Hot dog was a miss! The tater tots were over cooked and dry. The service at the Kitchen Mix (where the Dog Haus is located) was wonderful! They called my name as soon as the food was out, no complaints! The food court had a lot of selection, and the decor was very modern!

This is one of craziest, most bipolar experiences I've had in a restaurant. Some background. Went there with 2 family members on a Saturday. Went to the Wacker location, not the best experience. This place works like food court. Like 10 places sharing one ordering screen, a serving counter and a common eating area. On the week, if you live/ work there, this would makes sense. You eat in one of their counters, you go back to your desk. But on a Saturday is desolate, not even that clean and not a place like other food courts where you can sit with family or friends. Couple true high tables, every single one begging for a cleaning. The rest, all counters. A lot of employees chatting with each other or in their phones just goofing. Very few customers A very bad impression overall. In hope, because we saw a great review on TV, we took a chance and ordered 3 burgers from the menu of this restaurant - in the shared screen and waited, and waited - over 30 min, to get the food. Needless to say at this point my expectations were already very low. Then a miracle. The girl in the counter comes to us and refunds the whole order, apologizing for the delay and stating that the food will still come and it will be free. Yes all 60 dollars of it free. At this point with a free meal we decided to wait. There was nothing to loose, right? 10 more minutes later the food came up. One alioli burger and two classic burgers with cheese, tater tots and onion rings. Then we started eating and to our absolute surprise the burgers were simply insanely good. As in one of the best burgers we've eaten in a long time; way better than any other burger from any restaurant or fast food we have been. We were all speechless! We loooved the darn burgers. What is going on with this place! I will say this. Experience-wise this location is a no. Some manager needs to do it's job and get the whole place in order. But the food was outstanding. Never have I ever have had an experience like this. To be honest if I were the owner of this business I will leave this locale. It's detrimental to the brand. But if you ever go to another location, I will recommend, or better, urge you to try them.We will be back. Oh yes, but to another location.

We ordered Dog Haus via GrubHub and honestly would do it again!We ordered:- Cheese Tots: was a bit colder by the time we got them but still pretty good- Old Town (hot dog): HIGHLY RECOMMENDSmoked bacon, caramelized onions, Chipotle aioli, pickled jalapeños, cotijia cheese- Cowboy (hot dog): RecommendSmoked bacon, cheddar cheese, crispy onions, BBQ sauce (we removed the bbq sauce and substituted it with Chipotle aioli which was great)- Holy Aioli (burger): HIGHLY RECOMMENDWhite American cheese, smoked bacon, caramelized onions, garlic aioli- The Hot Chick (chicken sandwich): not bad, there's just so many good fried chicken sandwiches out there that this one just didn't stand outNashville style fried chicken tenders, haus slaw, pickles, secret sauceProbably would skip the chicken sandwich next time and go with another burger only because the burgers were so good! The serving sizes are also large and filling. I'm impressed by their beyond meat options and looovee how they use hawaiian bread! Hoping to visit in person next time

The food was fabulous. It was a little confusing ordering because if so many other businesses connected but I'm glad it worked out

I ordered it from doordash and I know that can sometime ruin food experience, however beside that I would give the veggie dog 3/5 . It was okay nothing special I would probably not get it again. The packaging was good, so I can only imagine the service being good with it. The food was packaged with care, and boxes are cute. The Hot chic was solid that's why I would give it a 4/5 it's gets the job done.

DO NOT GO HERE! Went to Dog Haus and this is a virtual food place. Paid $5 for the chili and they gave us this. Originally, they only gave us one small container and we complained saying this is not the sizing. They said this is how it normally comes and this is the true sizing but they were "kind" and gave us two. I have been to the one at lincoln park and it does NOT come like this. A scam. Go to the lincoln park location.

I had no idea Twas one of those virtual fool court type places where you place your order from one or two kiosk & have to wait for your order at a single counter towards the rear with several grub hub/Uber eats drivers. Prior to the pandemic this place was an actual food court as in a shopping mall. The food was ok, doubt I'd return as nothing was intriguing. The worst of it was the huge chicken sandwich which had zero flavor other than the sauce atop it & it was fried way too hard thus having the texture of cardboard. The sweet potato fries were ok as was the slider which sort of mimicked the flavor of White Castle. It was also expensive which is on par with every other restaurant in the area. I'll stick to xoco though

So the cool thing about this restaurant is that it's not a standalone business. It's a part of a large network of multiple eateries. You order from whichever option you want via these monitors and then wait for your order at the front desk. Loved every bite of our hotdogs (the buns were actually made of Hawaiian rolls). The chili with coleslaw was probably my favorite part of our meal. The dogs in question were a chili dog and Chicago-style.

Great quality food. They use sweet Hawaiian-style bread for the burgers. They were really busy so expect to wait. The building itself in is more of a weekday place so lots of the chairs weren't set up but there was still a place to sit.
