Bob’s Pizza

My husband and I went during the 4pm-5pm happy hour and ended up getting two larges for the price of one. It was super great pizza and we will be back again. (We did take it to-go so we can not vouch for the dine-in experience). We also tried the oatmeal cream pie, it was a bit dry but still pretty good.

This location is Located in the west loop in the recess space which is so big and beautiful lies Bob's Pizza. I stopped by a few days ago. First and foremost they are following CDC guidelines and all outdoor tables are more than 6ft apart. Currently they're available for pickup or takeout. They offer pizza slices either whole or by the slice. I did the half pickle pizza and half sausage. I don't know which one I loved more the sausage was so juicy and the cheesy was perfect ugh I'm craving more and if you're adventurous and love pickes like me you'll love this! The pickle taste isn't over whelming and the mortadella cheese compliments it so well!Also they have a limited time deal Mon-Thurs between 4-5 buy one pizza get one free! I'll definitely be back!

Roasted Chicken and Kimchi pizza feels like, yes, something you can get in the West Loop, but I'm gonna say that Bobs pizza does it better than any comparisons I've had. But the Pickle Pizza?? Sounds terrible and might be a winner. Bob Pizza first location is in Pilsen, and also has spots in Old Town and Evanston. But this "permanent pop up" inside of Recess in the West Loop is brand new as of late Aug 2020.Recess is a huge patio bar with TVs, live music and west loop vibe, and it's bordered by shipping containers. Trendy. But if you're sitting inside, you can order Bobs pizza straight off the menu with a server. It's a separate menu and kitchen but they integrated it into the ordering system. But you'll also be able to grab pickup from an outside window without going inside Recess. We talked with the co-owner Matt and he hooked us up with a half and half pickle pizza and Roasted chicken and kimchi (the half and half is not on the menu and I don't know if they can do this normally-thanks Matt!). The pickle sounded horrible and but was literally the best. Crunchy, salty... I dunno. You want this. But I'd have trouble deciding in the future. The kimchi had complex taste but was not spicy (I could have had more heat tbh). Just Bobs being here means I may be back.

we ordered via Uber Eats and we were so happy with Bob's as an awesome takeout option! the pizzas come cut into slices, but they were large enough that the quality was still good by the time the pies were dropped off. we tried the pickle pizza which was AMAZING exactly as it comes, and opted for the garlic honey drizzle on the pepperoni, which was an awesome compliment. we also tried the Brussels sprout & arugula salad, which was more arugula than sprouts but the Caesar dressing was very fresh. we will definitely be ordering from here again!

Pickle pizza, who would have thought it would be so delicious? My parents recommended this to me, and I was skeptical, but it was so delicious! The pickle and dill flavoring wasn't too strong, and it was well balanced by the mortadella that sits underneath the cheese. The crust was also great - crispy and not at all greasy. Will be getting this again for sure!

I've been in desperate search for wood fired, NY style (thin crust), pizza since I've moved here and this is it! The bobs margarita pizza is as authentic as you will get. Honestly, this location is totally bizarre. I walked by it several times and at one point I thought I had been duped by Yelp. When I finally walked up to the tiny window, I knew i was in the Right place. I would suggest something more than Just a weird little lighted sign that says "pick up here." It would be helpful if they had at least one sign that at says Bobs pizza on it. Pizzas the best in the city for wood fired!

This is such a cool spot located within the largest patio in the West Loop. The pizza is really good, and I was blown away by the pickle pizza. The crust is a little bubbly which is a big plus for me, and the pepperoni pizza, which is my typical go-to was awesome.

I've now ordered from here via DoorDash/ubereats three times, and it's becoming my favorite weekend tradition. This pizza is sooo good! It holds itself up when you pick up a piece but not too crunchy that it rips your mouth apart. Truly the perfect slice! The pizzas are huge too, so it lasts me a few meals which is always a plus. I really look forward to getting this next time friends or family are in town. I read on their website that they might use beer in the crust? Whatever it is, it WORKS! Can't wait to order again

Tremendous pizza. The crust is out of this world. Had the cheese pizza which consists of mozzarella, parmesan, and swiss ( I think that's the mix, don't quote me on that). Loved it.
