It was lunchtime with standing room only. There was not even room at the bar for a drink.A lot of memorabilia and photo options to take selfies. All of the staff were very friendly and offered assistance. Even if you cannot get a table or sit at the bar, it is worth a trip through the building.

Ok, so this might be a tourist trap but I don't care, I liked it! We happened to arrive about 45-mins before they opened and a line started forming so we jumped in. We were part of the first group in and opted to sit downstairs at the original bar (you can continue on through back up the stairs if you want to grab a drink in the TV Show set replica bar. Service was efficient - they've got this down to a science. Our group went with a Boston Lager for the first round and they came in an icy cold mug - a perfect way to beat the heat! They've got food if you're hungry, but if you want to just grab one beer for the experience and take off, that's cool, too! Don't forget to check out the little gift shop before you leave!

When the TV show was on air, I was too young to watch or remember, but I grew up well aware of its popularity. Coming to the location in which the show was based was pretty neat, and to enjoy a beer like the characters did, felt like I was part of the show.Apparently, from speaking to people here and there, this physical location has a bit of history outside the show. It includes a time in which the location had closed down, but then reopened. There also came a point when the business decided to open a 'replica' second bar on a higher floor.I believe the original bar can be found in the basement, accessible from the outdoor sidewalk stairway. Inside, on this Tuesday afternoon, was packed. There was bar seating and tabletops but we as a group of three certainly had a bit of a wait before sitting at the counter. Not surprised because this is probably one of the most popular bars in the city. It's worth it to venture beyond the OG bar. You'll find more dining seating, a gift shop, and a steer spiral staircase that leads to another floor with another gift shop and the replica bar. This second bar doesn't seem as cramped as it is with the large windows and the elevated ceiling. *Look for the roll of name tag stickers (like the show theme song: "where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came")* In that moment, I wish I had a marker to write in my name.

It's where everyone knows your name. Crowded over priced but if you're a fan then it is a must see. Made my husband's night walking in saying "hello everybody" and waiting for the response "Norm". Lots to see, big gift shop upstairs and plenty to drink - don't forget to buy a mug when you are done $13 cheaper then the t-shirts.

We came here because, well, it's "Cheers"! How can you come to Boston and not check it out?!? If you're looking to eat, you should make a reservation. We stopped in for a quick cocktail with friends. We got all the "Cheers" vibes in the atmosphere. Service was very friendly, attentive and quick.

Omg we finally made it to the sitcom restaurant "Cheers" here in Boston. It was a nice experience, the staff was nice too. We sat around back pass Gift Shop bc it was cooler bk there. We came during Huly 4th weekend & it was sweltering hot . Lol We took photos, stepped in for a bite to eat for the full experience. I ordered the Carla's meatball & spaghetti dish & for appetizer I had the buffalo wings both were good. B4 we left I got a "Cheers" tote bag, beer bottle holder, & a keychain. I forgot what my friends ordered or bought but they were happy I did get a few photos bc it was busy. I do recommend this restaurant for the experience & the drinks & food.

Like many, I loved the Cheers series, so it was fun to visit the bar that inspired the show to take in the fun environment, enjoy some decent potato skins, and chase it down with ice cold Sam Adams Brick Red lager in a classic Cheers mug! Our server was also super friendly and attentive despite it being very busy in the downstairs bar. The memorabilia on the walls was fun to reminisce about while we also watched highlights from the day's Red Sox game. Even the gift shop was fun to peruse despite it being totally aimed at visiting tourists. Overall - an excellent experience!

Ok. I remember watching with my parents and I have a very nostalgic view of this place. We just popped in for a drink, to satiate my memories, and it was worth it. Yeah, it's gimmicky now, with a gift shop and what not, but it meant more to me. The fact that when I cashed out, the bartender called me by name just made my little heart sing. We didn't have any food there, so I can't speak to that. If you're in the area, why not stop by!?

Came in on a Tuesday night, our first night in Boston. Took a seat at the bar. Service was great, wish I had gotten our bartenders name. He was affable and made suggestions on the menu. I got the meatball sub and it was delish - piping hot and lots of cheese. Hubs and I got a beer to 'cheers' with the mugs, super out pic and they had a Sam Adam brick red my husband was obsessed with. Cute spot with fun people and lots of space. Would def come back again when in Boston!
