Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

My wife and daughter had a horrible experience at the cheddars in Katy and we will definitely not be returning to that cheddars the manager was rude and sarcastic towards my wife and daughter. First my daughter ordered the chicken strips with ranch and somehow ended up with bbq sauce on one of her strips when they brought them out with the ranch she ordered with her strips. The raspberry lemonade my wife ordered didn't taste right and the manager made a fuss about that. The waitress we had was not attentive to us at all she never came to check to see if we needed anything or refills the hosts told us there would be a 15-20 minute wait which was not a problem but there was plenty of empty seating available the some people came in told the host there was gonna be be six of them and sat them down before the people in front of us who had been waiting for 25 minutes and when asked why there being seated before us him and the manager replied that they were here before us. This place needs a better manager and people to work there who attend to customers like they should. This place is not worth the trouble or the drive there never again will I be spending my money with them again this cheddars deserves negative stars.

I care for an elderly woman and our go to place to eat is Cheddar's. We stopped in Friday for a late lunch and they seated us in the bar area. It was very loud and we could not hear each other talk. Our service on the other hand was amazing. Shanon was our waiter and he was very kind, polite, and friendly! The food was also amazing. I ordered the crispy chicken salad and I didn't even have to ask for another Ranch. Shanon was one step ahead and brought me 2. My company ordered some chicken and shrimp pasta that looked so good. We will be returning to this location and hope to get Shanon again.

Good food, service, price and decor. Bathroom was clean. Price better than most equivalent restaurants. Not good for large groups. We had to sit in multiple booths. One shortcoming. They put these stunningly delicious and addictive type of a croissant on the table. If you don't use a great deal of restraint, you will become too full to eat your meal.

We can here tonight for dinner, party of 6. Joined the waitlist online, 15-20 minute wait...after 15 minutes, we were told it would be at least another 30 minutes to an hour before we could be seated...Needless to say, we did not get to try the food....complete customer service fail!

Food was fresh and delicious. They forgot my gravy and raspberry jam I called up there and manager made it right. I can't say anything bad.

It's a pretty much a family place to take your kids. It's basically comfort food. Nothing fancy. Our waitress Taylor, did a very good job making sure our party was taken care of. They were late on the croissants and that's because they were being made. As much as people talk about the rolls at Texas Roadhouse, I'm surprised the croissants at this place don't get much discussion. I got the meatloaf and it kinda tasted like a Salisbury steak. Overall, mixed reviews on the food. But the service was great.

We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express in the same parking lot so for convenience, this was awesome. (Our first choice was Olive Garden but they had a 40 min wait). At Cheddar's we were seated immediately. Ambiance was ok, background noise was pretty loud. (Hard to hear server and he had trouble hearing us.)We waited quite awhile after being seated for our server to come. When he did, he said, "I'm sorry about the long wait, I was in the bathroom." Ummmm... TMI??? 100% sure that is what you should NOT say when you greet a table. My husband said he immediately picked up on what was said and first thought was, "I hope we don't get sick."Put in our drinks orders: 3 kids sodas and 2 waters. Then we looked at the menu. Decided on: kids burger, kids tenders, our oldest went with a 1/2lb burger, the lemon pepper chicken and the steak and ribs combo. Upon reviewing the check, I noticed that we had a $2.99 drink charge. I asked about it since my husband and I had water. The server said that since our one child ordered a regular burger, the drink wasn't included and he had to charge us for it. Ok... I get it, but let's get real. The kids meal was $5.99. She ordered a $9.99 meal, already $4 more. You added on a $3 drink but she got a tiny kids size and didn't get a refill. So we were charged $3 for a tiny kid's soda? And what if one of our kids wanted a refill?? That would have been free right? So wouldn't a decent human just have included the tiny kid's drink as a courtesy? She planned on getting a kid's meal but got a bigger meal. So we paid an extra $7 for her. She should have just ordered 2 kids meals for LESS money. Doesn't make ANY sense. For was just ok. Wasn't anything to write home about. Lemon pepper chicken was a bit over cooked. Side note: There were issues with the table seated across from us. Upon checking on them after they had their meals delivered, the husband said that they never got their appetizer AND he never got his Caesar salad. Honestly, we came here out of convenience to our hotel but I wouldn't have sought it out and probably won't in the future. Probably would do 2.5 but had to pick either 2 or 3... just couldn't get over the bathroom comment or the $3 kid's soda charge.

We came in and they told us 10 minutes, 30 minutes in they told us we needed to wait and finally 1 hour waiting we decided to talk to the manager, she took 10 minutes to show up even tho she was just standing on the back. I believe racism was the case just because we're Hispanics. But the service is just overall sucks.

Went in on 3/26 at 5:20 sat and waited for a server. Never came. We even ordered an appetizer on the kiosk but it never arrived. We walked out after 15 minutes. The service here is the worst.

Food is fine, service is okay. Staff is meh. I've overheard some inappropriate conversations and comments between staff so that was unfortunate but the restaurant itself is cute.
