Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

So this place is hidden way in the back I had fun trying to find it lol. The ambience of the decor the paint job and my favorite the fans made lunch even better. Every single one of your employees today were over accommodating very welcoming. Let us switch tables as my friend was pregnant and we was crammed in our first table. No biggy I asked if we could get the bigger table they said yes. The area was clean I even seen the bus boy move the tables and chairs to clean under it. The food was delicious I was tearing it up. I got the fried steak with gravy it tastes like home and the mashed potatoes they're so delicious best I ever had better than the roadhouse. My drink was gone in 2 minutes lol yes that tasty and pretty the girl knew I didn't want the pineapple so she switched it out. I should had taken a photo of my food but my hands got to it quicker. Will be back I love good customer service.

I've been to this location maybe once before several years ago and to say something has changed would be an understatement. Last time wasnt a memorable experience but tonight was a home run. The hostess was fun, funny and very attentive even after we were seated. The waitress had a trainee with her and she was equally exceptional. The food was seasoned well, perfect temperature and great portion size for the price. The whole energy of this restaurant is greatly improved. This was daddy daughter night because mom was out of town and I don't cook. 5 stars from everyone. Can't wait to come back with my wife, she will love the herb chicken. I surely did. Cypress we've got a winner for family dinners!

The staff were very nice but, very forgetful. Me and my intern had asked for two appetizers and the waitress forgot to add it to the order though, she added it after being reminded. She aswell apologized. The establishment was quite sanitary although, toiletries are somewhat dirty. The food was good quality no downsides. Overall 7/10

O.K. have not been back to the Cheddar place for awhile, but the last time we went there was due to other restaurants was full and a long waiting list.So we decided to give it another try. The reason that I didn't want to go back was the for the past couple of time, I had drinks spilled on me for some reason, and that makes me wonder. I was just drinking iced tea. Now to the food, they have a good menu, and the dishes we tried was alright at best, according to my wife it is very salty, and I ate salty food and I feel that it is a bit salty as well. Now a days everyone is watching their diet and what they are intake of food contains, maybe Cheddar's need to scale down on the salt a bit. I don't know if it was just the cook had an off day, but the food was pretty bad, but the wait staff was pretty friendly, and guess what no drinks spilled on me this time..Had a close call but didn't get wet.May have to wait a little bit before I venture back out to this location..290/BarkeCypress

The food and service were fine, but we had to ask repeatedly for someone to check the alarm that was beeping due to some fault in the wiring. Despite being seated in the bar area, a family with small children were seated in the booth next to us. The children were very loud because the electronic devices being used as babysitters were loud. The parents were even louder in order to be heard over the children and the electronics.

I remember when this restaurant used to be popular and the wait times were super long whenever it first opened. Now it's in competition with newer restaurants in the surrounding area and they keep changing their menu every time I visit (obviously I don't visit that often). The prices have definitely increased too.... Maybe to pay for the random white logo standup next to the place where you put your name on the list?? (Maybe that white logo thing is for pictures?? #EatingAtCheddarsCypress?? haha). It's still a family friendly restaurant and service is hit or miss.We were seated immediately around 8 pm and there wasn't any wait. Our waiter gave us complimentary honey butter croissants (which was a pleasant surprise). I always order the same thing since I discovered the entree. The bourbon glazed salmon with sweet baby carrots was delicious! My mom also enjoyed her steak but she thought the seasoning was too spicy for her taste. The mango flavored sweet tea was okay. It wasn't as sweet as I expected Texas sweet tea to be, especially at a southern "scratch kitchen", but it was still tasty.Be mindful to call first before heading over here on Sundays though. This restaurant is PACKED with families after church. Very large parking lot in the front and back! Curbside pickup is available too.

My family and I always enjoy going to cheddars because of menu's variety and the restaurant's consistency. We usually start off with some drinks because they're tasty and huge for the price you pay. Definitely a great spot to just get drinks and appetizers as well!I got the sirloin and blackened shrimp with mashed potatoes and green beans. The steak was cooked beautifully expect for the outside was slightly tough but everything else was delicious. The service was solid: our waitress consistently checked up on us to make sure we were enjoying our food. The food came out within 10-15 minutes of ordering!Overall if you're looking for something quick and simple, I'd suggest coming here.

Whenever I'm in Houston I always make sure to stop here! The scratch kitchen is just amazing and the staff is always so friendly and kind.I normally get the blackened salmon and am IN LOVE with their honey butter croissants, especially when they are piping hot. This is just such a casual family friendly place and I never regret my visit. My main reason for four stars instead of five is because I wish they updated their signature drink menu more.

Cheddars has been my go to restaurant for years. It broke my heart a few years ago when the nacho was removed as an appetizer. There are still several other good options to get started with as well as several good entree options. The meals are very affordable. I rarely ever spend $30 on a dinner for two but we're always satisfied. Dining in is nice and comfy and service is normally exceptional. The catering option is really good too. I've fed a party of 25 for $130 on two occasions. I can see me going to Cheddars for the next 20yrs.

My boyfriend and I came in for dinner. We walked in and were quickly seated. However, after that no one came and took our drink or food order. We sat in our booth and waited as multiple staff members walked by us. After patiently waiting, we decided to leave. Poor customer service!
