My husband and I were walking around Downtown Cary and decided to check this spot out. We both grabbed a glass of wine and sat inside then a few bottles to take home. There is a small amount of seating inside and outside (in the front and back). Chatham Street Wine Market is a really cute spot with friendly service and reasonably priced bottles of wine.

Ok, I so I decided to give Chatham street wine market a second chance because hay everyone has a bad day! Even me! We are all human! I stopped in and picked up four bottles of wine and I absolutely love the red blend the young man recommended. See the pictures I added. It's a small sales floor but plenty of places to sit in the back once they things go to normal. They also have an outdoor patio in the back. Definitely will come back again! Thanks for the great service!

Cute space, very inviting and I love their whimsical wine descriptions. My Tempranillo pairs with lamb, hard cheeses and castle tours :) I needed a wine to pair with paella and was pointed to a delicious selection that was less than I expected to pay. They are a retail wine shop with tastings and a bar to sip and enjoy their wines. I'll be back on my next trip to Cary.

Well, if it can't be a coffee shop anymore, then I'm okay with it being wine shop. A boutique wine shop at that.Chatham Street Wine Market is a nice addition to downtown Cary. It's smaller than I thought it would be, but for what it stocks, the small setting works perfectly. The wine stock here is thoughtfully selected from places all over the world, primarily from smaller wineries, and likely with a limited supply. North Carolina wine is represented, too.I can't pretend to be a wine connoisseur or sommelier, but I guess I don't have to be to drink it. If I like it, I'll remember it. If I don't, then it's on to the next bottle. Nevertheless, I still like reading the wine descriptions placed next to the bottles. The descriptions on those cards, and sometimes on the bottles, are equal parts fascinating and informative. Chatham Street has a Thursday evening wine tasting that according to the owner/manager usually follows a theme, either by highlighting a specific winery, or perhaps a food pairing. If you can't make the free wine tasting on Thursday, you can have a glass of wine at the tasting bar.On this visit, I picked up "wine in a can" from Union Wine Company in OR. I haven't tried it yet, but per the suggestion from the owner/manager, it would make a unique stocking stuffer. And it would - unless I really like it, and then nevermind.

My husband and I have been a few times now and have had a wonderful experience every time. The wine menu is great and ever changing (be sure to read the descriptions), the employees are incredibly knowledgable and the wine is wonderful! When you find yourself in DT Cary, do yourself a favor and stop by for a glass (or 4)!

Over the past year we have frequented the wine shop more and more and our opinion has changed for the better! They offer a great selection at very reasonable prices. They always have wine tastings with a rep from one of their distributors pouring different varieties and full of knowledge! They have started to offer a few snack options (cheese, crackers, chips) to accompany their wine.... but you are still able to bring in your own food as well. I wish they would stay open later on Sunday's, we often walk downtown Sunday afternoons and would like to enjoy a glass of wine past 4pm.

I love boutique wine stores and this one is definitely one of the best. They have a wonderful selection and what they don't have the owner is willing to order. The prices are really good for a non chain mega store ( yea total wine I meant you). Will definitely shop here more.

Great service, amazing wine selection. We just bought all our Thanksgiving wine here, as we've done in years past for holidays. They offer a preselected 4-pack at a discount that is always great, but honestly you can just pick any of their wines and they are great. Support local businesses!

Positives first: GREAT wines. I bought 3 wines here last weekend and have opened them all (2.5 are gone). They were all excellent. What wines did I get? I have no idea. I did appreciate the little blurbs written about wines throughout the store. That helped me get a feel for what I was going to like or not like.I WILL be back for the lone fact that I know I can walk out of there with a good bottle of wine that I will be very happy with.Negatives: Customer service. I walked in and while there were 2 people at the bar area, I didn't see anyone working and wasn't welcomed. When the person working that day came up from under the bar, he never did say hello. It was my first visit so I walked up to the bar and asked if they did tastings (two people sitting at the bar were drinking, it seemed to be a reasonable question). Response, "On Thursdays." I stood there and was offered a menu where I could try a glass of wine. I decided to just go look for some bottles on my own - I was never offered help in finding something I may like. I would think in a place as small as this, with the limited selection AND considering there were only 2 other people in the place, I could be offered help finding something I may enjoy. I'm glad I found it on my own but, come on! Bring a little bit of customer service to the plate and you'll be my go-to wine store.

Wine tasting on patio was nice and very informative. Customer service inside to order wine was wholly disengaged at best. Simple customer service is hard to find these days. Hopefully it's just today. I'll come back and try again!
