Beautiful property and views. Upon being kindly greeted at the door we stated that we did not have a reservation and were only there for a wine tasting. We were seated at a table instead of the bar. We Advised our server we only wanted a tasting. He said he would get us water, rolled his eyes, sighed and walked away. No questions about preferred wines; dry, sweet, red, white, etc. We were served a flight of 4 wines, none of which were Chapelton wines and 2 were out of state, at $50 for each tasting. The wines we had were all good although not recommended as a stop on the wine trail.

Nice little escape from the Houston city life with just a hour and 15 min drive. The building and inside is very beautiful and well decorated. All the people that work there are all so pleasant and friendly. We got the summer night flight and chapelton flight. Both had very good wine selection. The cheese board was also very good. I would say it needed more crackers but all over great! We ended up getting a membership!

What a gem!! From the drive down the winding road to winery, to the views of vines, it is a pleasant surprise. Then you step inside this classy winery and you want to stay. Margarita was a gracious host, guiding us on our wine selection. We sat outside and took in the beautiful view. Got to meet the wonderful owners. Overall this is a winery like no other, we will surely be back.

I truly want to be able to give this winery a great rating after driving through the impressive property on the way to the parking lot and then walking into the beautiful tasting and dining venue. I ordered a bottle of the Cabernet Sauvignon and it was incredible. However, the service was less than desirable. Very poor, actually. One of my least favorite service experiences. No greeting upon entering and sitting at the bar where the person behind the counter completely ignored our arrival and continued on talking to the one other couple sitting at the bar space. I wasn't expecting her to end her conversation; however, a quick hello and I'll be to you in a moment would have been polite. I understand that she was taking her time telling the customer about their wines and I appreciate that. Then, instead of coming to assist me and my two guests that were waiting politely and patiently, she went straight to preparing a drink for a couple that sat down after us. Then, after she finally brought our bottle to us and our glasses, she more less disappeared. She didn't ask us if we wanted to know about the wine or if we had any questions about the menu. This is typically service I receive at other wineries I've visited around the world. I could understand a bit more if they were busy at that bar space, but they were not. I would expect a venue of that beauty and wine of that quality to have service that was more up to par with wanting to educate and assist their customers. When I asked the simple question of which wines on the menu had grapes that came from the property's own vineyard I didn't even get a confident sounding response. I do hope that management takes some time to ensure that their staff has the customer service and vineyard knowledge to provide customers with a level of service and education that corresponds with the product that they have to provide.
