Food was just alright. Rice was on the dry side. So was the pork belly. Little bit tough, dry and hard to chew. I did like the tequenos though. Customers beware though. Make sure to check to your receipts. We were overcharged. Always ask for a detailed receipt of what you ordered. They don't offer a receipt like typical restaurants are supposed to. They just tell you what your total is and assume you're just going to pay it without an accurate account of what was ordered. Um, no. I'm not a stickler about every little thing, but I don't like being taken advantage of.

This place is delish! We ordered the Venezuelan empanadas, patacon, chicharrón and tequenos. It's a hole in the ground type of place with minimal seating. Excellent food and service.

My husband and I placed an order over the phone and got there a few minutes before they opened. We saw a guy outside (Wilmer) sweeping and since I had a crying baby in the car we decided to get down to distract her. Even though they weren't yet open he was super welcoming and friendly. Within minutes our order of tequeños and empanadas de carne mechada (shredded beef) were ready to go and did not disappoint. Everything was delicious and authentic (i'm Venezuelan, I know ;) )The sauces were great too. Can't wait to go back and try their very famous rotisserie chicken!PS. I am in no way encouraging you to show up before they open, neither will I show up again before they open, now that I know their hours! :)

It's ok- not that great- one time wonder kind of restaurant. When I ordered a juice it was the powdered drink that was too sweet. Rice was very bland. Service was slow. Chamos was like Malo chamos lol.....

We moved to Katy from san antonio where we grew up eating Tex-Mex food,and its our favorite.Here in katy we've foumd so many different Latin restaurants.Today we chose Chamo's Venezuelen restaurant.So our experience at Chamos was great.So happy they have a small mexican section on their menu.I recommend the Pirata plate.2 Delicous Steak tacos with cheese,avacado and onions in it with beans on the side.Service was excellent.We received our food promptly considering the restaurant wasn't full because we arrived before the lunch hour rush.Again,i only tried the Pirata plate and it was delicous!We will be returning to try Pollo a la plancha.

Este es el lugar en donde he comido las mejores empanadas de camarones!! La Cachapa es muy buena y la sopa excelente!!!

I've never had venezualan food before but this place is quite delicious! and if this is what their cuisine taste like then they've got a life long fan in them. We ordered a whole chicken, which was basically a Venezuelan rotisserie chicken that came with some tortillas and rice and other sides. The chicken was juicy and everything was super fresh. We also ordered this mix plate with an arepa, sausage, plantain, and a steak. That was delightful. The meats were all very good, and my favorite part may have been an arepa. I will come back here again to try the other menu items!

la comida es buena, pero todo va bien depende quien te atienda, hay una chica en la caja Colombiana, que no le gusta mostrarte el aparato para pasar la tarjeta, ella estira la mano y te pide tu tarjeta, eso lo hace porque coloca de una vez la propina, si yo pido comida para llevar yo no doy propina y ella de abusadora lo pone así, esto debe de denunciarse! a parte de qhe su atención es terrible, casi ni te ve a la cara, un esta mal humorada. En un restaurante la atención ed tan importante como la comida. Y si me tratas mal, si me ignoras, si no eres amable no te daré propina. seguiré comprando aquí, pero si me vuelve a pasar esto, armaré un escándalo! cuenten su dinero, porque si los ven distraídos les cobran de más.

Everything my party ordered was super authentic and amazing!! The Colombian empanadas were so crispy. The arepas were perfect. Everything is served fresh. We can't wait to go back!

They have an excellent food it made me feel at home because the flavor it really similar of Venezuelan food but if they need to focus a little bit more in clean up because it was a little disorganized and some tables did't have the best clean up.
