I want to give this place a 5 so bad because the guys who make the food are super friendly and make amazing food. Just can't based on the styrofoam they use to plate everything. I get it though, most people who work for the medical campus probably are eating at their desk or walking back to their desk. If they had another location they opened or provided both a dine in experience with the take out, definitely would say 5 stars. If they want that final star, consider a dinner option (knowing that might not be in that location) Keep up the great work of making me feel sleepy after an awesome full meal!!!Update: please forgive me for using styrofoam as a general term rather than the specific material used to hold the food! Thanks for the correction and compliment!

I came to this place when it opened and absolutely loved it. But as time went on, the menu and quality went downhill. I hadn't been there in a while, but thought I'd give it another chance. As you can see, the Paneer was just thrown on top of the meal and was hard and glued together in a clump. Not the soft chewy paneer simmered in flavorful sauce that I had when they opened. The sauce was too salty and not well seasoned. I got hummus and a white sauce instead of anything fresh or any vegetables like they used to do. It was like the sauces were for a pita or falafel, but I was given neither. They used to have a little side salad and some smoky crispy cauliflower included in the meal that were delicious! I was hopeful the mango lassi would be the saving grace, but it was sour like it had been made many days ago. Their mango lassi used to be so delicious, a perfectly balanced drink.Honestly, I couldn't finish most of the meal and went back to work disappointed and hungry. Maybe it was an off day for them, the staff did seem pretty miserable and cranky. But the last time I went, the food was not much better either. Would not recommend overall.

Chai & Chai is one of my favorite Indian/Arabic restaurants in the Denver/Aurora areas. I seriously get it once a week. Everything is delicious, but I love the chicken tiki masala and the baba ganoush. The workers are always so kind and helpful too!

Stopped by for lunch, the guy behind the counter slapped together my order without so much as a glance or a word, felt unfriendly. I will say the service was quick and the food was hot. The container got super soggy during my 10 minute walk. I find it really odd that a place called "Chai & Chai" doesn't serve chai, but they did have a few other drink options. As far as the food - the chana masala had a good flavor but was a bit too spicy for my liking, the rice had too much butter and salt, the naan and lentils were OK, and the pakora was mostly dough. Overall feels like mediocre fast food. I've had better.

One doesn't usually think of a health sciences campus as a place for delicious food. Chai and Chai blows up that preconception. The food is fast, hot, and delicious. It's a nice lunch departure from the usual sandwich/pizza/American options. And healthy to boot. Don't miss this gem of a place. I would rate this up there with ANY Indian restaurant, bar none. Best dishes: potato curry, saag paneer, lentils. If they agree to make it when they're not too busy: garlic naan! Soooooooo good.

The menu and the people completely changed, so any negative reviews from over 8 months ago aren't relevant anymore. The staff here are friendly and the food is great. They have a mean cauliflower and falafel wrap. Also a warm chai on a cool day hits the spot! If you're on campus and looking for Mediterranean/Indian fusion, this is the place.

Tried the spring sampler, which included a sampling of lamb, a falafel, rice, hummus, baba ganoush, salad, and a pita. All were exceptional!! I have also had their chai in the past and absolutely love it! Highly recommend!

I know for a FACT this is a smaller portion than a year ago. I used to love this place but clearly it's gone downhill. I went in about 12:30 and it was EMPTY which should have been a sign. There was one worker there who did not look pleased to be there and did not understand what I wanted. I ordered the chicken shawarma and the chicken masala and she did not ask what sauces I wanted and did not include pita bread. I don't think I can continue to support this business, the food is not the same.

Litterally the worst food I've even eaten. The falafel was both over cooked and ice cold.
