I liked my first experience at this restaurant. I visited on a Monday afternoon, and it was pretty empty. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating areas; I chose to sit outside. What I liked right away was the lack of music. Plus, the restaurant is located a block away from the busy road, at the corner of two small residential streets, so it was pretty quiet and peaceful outside. The restaurant menu is quite large and offers a variety of food, from many different appetizers to grilled fish and meat options. As expected, the menu is mostly seafood-focused. My friend and I were moderately hungry, so we decided to order and share three dishes: Yuca Sticks, Gyozas, and The Experience Lover Ceviche (which is a mix of fish, calamari, shrimp, and octopus). All the food came out pretty quickly, about 12 minutes after we ordered, and everything was very fresh and delicious. I have absolutely nothing negative to mention about the food quality. Great job! I definitely recommend trying these three dishes.Price-wise, I would say that the food is slightly overpriced, especially the starters, which are all priced from $12 and up, even the Gyozas, which usually cost around $8. There were two Happy Hour meals for $10 each, if I remember correctly - crispy calamari and beef empanadas. But I consider that a bit of a joke. There were also Happy Hour deals on some alcoholic drinks, but since my friend and I don't drink alcohol, we didn't explore those offers. For our lunch, we paid $54 in total (without tip), and as I mentioned before, I find it slightly overpriced.Only one waiter was working outside, and he was just okay. I wish he had a friendlier attitude because he didn't even smile once. The last issue I want to mention was the problem with getting change, as the waiter had no change for $100. We eventually figured it out, but it's still strange that a big and pretty famous restaurant like CEVICHE LOVERS wouldn't have cash on hand.In conclusion, I absolutely recommend this place for a visit. I believe I will be back again to try some other items from the menu.

Made a reservation here for Mother's Day & wow, what a pleasant surprise! The service here was swift & extremely kind. Restaurant was very cute with lovely art on the patio. Great music, as well! The food was delicious! It was a party of five of us & a toddler, so we ordered a bunch of dishes to share, including ceviche, empanadas, lomo saltado, noodles, pork belly buns, risotto a la huancaina & an octopus salad. For the baby, we ordered him fried fish with French fries from the kids menu. Yes, we ordered a ton of food, but we devoured almost everything because it was so delicious! Zero complaints! Such a great vibe overall. At the end of our meal, all of the moms were given a red rose. Such a nice touch!

Food was fine. Perfectly acceptable.Service was the worst, in a city known for bad service. It was nonexistent despite the restaurant not being full.Maybe it was a bad night but wow. South Miami downtown needs more life but with service like this, turnover will only continue.

We went with the family to celebrate an anniversary and had a nice time. The food was delicious and the server was very sweet. Our only problem was that the AC was broken and it was 83 degrees on a Miami Summer day while raining outside. We tried to not let that affect our experience and enjoy the yummy food and great music instead. Can't wait to go back and give this place another try.

I wish I knew about this place sooner! Situated on a quiet street in South Miami, Ceviche Lovers is a great option for dinner. We came here after a run so we opted to sit inside. I was really impressed with the size and variety of the menu. There were several fusion plates that sounded very tasty. I opted for sushi, the tuna roll, it was very fresh and flavorful, Which I would definitely recommend. The service was also on point and dishes came out quickly, with beautiful presentation. I will definitely be back to try something else.

The summaryThe first couple of times I went to ceviche lovers it would have been a straight five stars, unfortunately, once you leave the realm of ceviches and venture further around the menu, it becomes a bit more of a "hit or miss" experience. The experience On average, once you arrive and get seated, the service is good and the ambiance is very nice. We tend to sit outside, as usually we go after exercising, but the inside is also cozy and nice. They always bring the toasted corn and vegetable chips (cassava, potato, and plantain) with huancaina sauce... Though the last couple of times they only brought the toasted corn, so maybe they are phasing out the chips?... Anyway, so far, so good. Then they bring the drinks, which are absolutely fabulous, or the beers, which are always cold... Now, the food is where it varies a bit: the ceviche party trio has always been delicious and it has kept its quality over time. The wok fried rice, however, was great the first couple of times I tried it, but afterward it's been either too salty, or a bit chewy, or, I don't know, it's just not as good as it used to.The last time I went, I ordered the fish and seafood plate. Flavor-wise it was very good, but, again, consistency was off... the fish got a bit soggy and the seafood was a bit chewy. Also, it wasn't nearly as hot as it should have been when it got to the table. Now, to be clear: it's still very good when compared to other restaurants, the real competition Ceviche Lovers is losing is against itself a few months ago, though if you stick to the ceviche, you should be fine... though that also deserves a note:You may notice in the ceviche menu there are almost always four options: fish/mixed/ corvina/corvina mixed. The corvina options are more expensive than their "regular fish" versions, but if you don't specify you want the "cheaper" one, they will usually default your order to the more expensive one so, remember to specify. I think they all worth it, but I did go with someone a few months ago who, to this day, is still complaining about being charged "the pricey one" after ordering "the fish ceviche", so... just let your server know exactly which one you want, they all are knowledgeable about the menu and very accommodating, if you give them the chance. We'll keep going every now and then... but I'm probably going to be sticking to the ceviches, which, to be fair... are the ones the place is named for!

Absolutely amazing ceviche spot in South Miami! Great happy hour menu/ prices! Our food came out very quickly & everything was so delicious! The yuca sticks were super crispy & the sauce they came with was the best compliment. The Lomo Saltado empanadas were super filled with meat & the flavors were excellent! The ceviche was super fresh & I loved the different flavor each one had! It paired perfectly with the crispy, salty tostones! The staff were all so friendly & the service was excellent, the chef even came out to ask how our food was! I will 100% be back for another happy hour with friends!
