Beautiful place to have food nice cup of coffee. Everyone was very friendly outgoing. I recommend this to anyone who just wants to sit down and have a great time.

Took 30 minutes to get a food menu. Took another 45 minutes to order food. Took 30 minutes for the food to come. Food was good. Right after I finished the nova lox omelette I noticed a fly in my drink. Would never return.

I've heard good things about this place for years and was in the neighborhood so I decided to try them out. My little and I ordered waffles and bacon and fried whiting with cheese grits and eggs. The waffles and bacon were pretty good. The fish was fried too hard for my liking but it was tasty. The grits are those good grits that has texture but they lacked taste. The eggs were nasty. Very rarely do I get something that's nasty but they were. Although I wasn't that wowed by my experience I would definitely try them again.

I used to live in the area and went to sit-in and eat many times! They actually know my name and order at this point! Usually people go for chicken and waffles but this place serves chicken and French toast! I've haven't tasted anything like it! Although the area may drag a few stragglers non the less the food is good.

Great food and the staff make it worth the trip. I frequent this place for breakfast.

Simple is sometimes better. Looking for a quick bite before a planned activity, my boyfriend and I agreed on this spot. The location was not far from our Airbnb and close to our 11 AM engagement. Fortunately for us, we were able to find parking across the street and were seated upon arrival. The service was okay and a little on the slow side, but to be honest, I was not expecting much. The menu offered a good variety of choices. I love a good breakfast platter and decided on the two eggs, bacon, and grits (with cheese of course) platter. The bacon was crispy, the eggs cooked just right, and the grits nice buttery and cheesy. The portions are on the hefty side, considering the price. Come hungry, and you will leave stuffed.

I always love going here for breakfast when we are in Philly. Staff is always friendly. I love how they make grits reminds me of my mom and grandma's recipe. I believe they add something to the home fries but didn't confirm and the potatoes are also delicious. Its always a clean and welcoming environment. Thanks for a really good breakfast I have eaten here 4 times.

I meant to update this review before the pandemic. My last visit (pre-pandemic) was not as good as some of my earlier experiences.One thing I didn't like is that it seemed like the staff was upselling and upcharging without making clear that certain items cost more. For example, I ordered home fries & they asked "onions and peppers?" like they're a regular part of the dish. However, there's an extra charge for at least one of those (peppers I think?). It's not a ton of $$, but I'd like it if it were more clearly communicated what was included and what was not. Same thing happened with a particular cheese that was offered and chosen for a sandwich; apparently it cost extra but I didn't know that until I saw it on the bill.Here's the food report card, I use ^ to indicate a half-star and * for a full star. So, ***^ means 3.5 stars:****^ Bacon grilled cheese sandwich is very good**** Veggie home fries are great, especially when they're well done with crispy potatoes*** Tofu vegetable scramble is solid if you like veggies, but want some extra protein in there*** Corned beef hash is solid** Dankwich was not good, it had home fries in it & was all carbs, with pretty much no flavourPreviously, I've also tried the creamed chipped beef (fine), fish (dry, overcooked, flavourless) and poached eggs (rubbery).

Cute local restaurant with old school diner vibes. The staff and everyone are really nice. The food was just okay but much needed after a night of drinking. Omelette was the best.

I use to go here before covid every Sunday after church. We started going back shortly after, but then we stopped because they were catering more to take out. We started coming back since January. Today is our final day of patronizing a dishonest business. Arrived around 11:12, didn't get food until 11:55. A table that was behind me got served before we did, and we were in there 20 minutes before them. The nasty, disrespectful chines person who sits at cash register gave part of my food to that table, then tried to give it to me when they told her it wasn't there's. I asked for something different.
