a carthage staple!!! great people, great food--what more could you want!? the chips and salsa are classic and delicious, i always eat too many before my food comes out! on tuesdays, they have $1 tacos that you will be SO happy eating. one of my favorite dishes is the arroz con pollo (ACP), who'd be upset eating chicken and rice absolutely smothered in queso!?

A festive atmosphere and good Mexican food served in adequate quantities at a more the reasonable price, more than enough reasons to give it a try!

We came to Carthage to shop in antique stores. Since it was lunch time, decided to eat first. It was a bit challenging to find a restaurant. We came across this place and thought why not? It was clean and the staff was friendly! The prices are so reasonable! They brought us chips and salsa which is standard at a Mexican place. Nothing standard about the chips and salsa! Some of the best I've had for something so basic! Chips were warm, right thickness and perfect amount of salt. The salsa was delicious and flavorful with some heat but not overpowering. I ordered meat trio fajitas. Omg! Moist, wonderfully grilled with amazing seasoning! It was perfectly balanced! Even if I wasn't shopping, I'd come back to eat here! With tip was under $20 for the two of us!

I really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back. I had steak with poblano peppers that was delicious. My son got to enjoy a virgin pina colada he said was the best he's ever had. Taste to value ratio very high.

We stopped by tonight driving through town. I am not sure why this place only has any bad reviews. First the food was delicious. Everything we ordered was hot and delicious, portions were great and the price was very reasonable. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The atmosphere was great. Lastly, the service was above and beyond. It has been a long time since I could say we have had service that good anywhere. Jessy was fantastic making sure our meal was great and interacting with our family. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back!

I came here on the review of many others, fully open for a positive experience. I mean every Tuesday they have $1.00 tacos. What an awesome deal!! As I walked in it was dirty, but that doesn't bother me much. We get to the booth and there is old food crusted to the side of it. It's something that can be fixed. We get a rag and it gets cleaned up. Problem #2 fixed. Half of my food comes out and the remaining people of my table go without for the next 20 minutes. I went to the kitchen after being there for over an hour and find out they haven't started our food so I told them not to worry about it. The kitchen was more about getting pick up orders than the guest inside. The table next to us was there long before us and they still had not received their food. I paid for the drinks and we left. I hate writing bad reviews but the staff needs some work at this place. If there is a next time, I'm hoping the next showing is better.

This is the only Mexican restaurant my wife and I go to in Moore County. They have great food and the best prices. You can't beat their taco Tuesday special and their drinks are also priced well. It's locally owned and you will see the owner regularly taking orders and greeting customers. Highly recommended!

The food is good & In convenient location. My problem with them is their menu. Call me old school but when a price is posted on the menu, that's what I base my selection on and what I expect to pay. It feels like a bait & switch & I leave feeling cheated. Not cool.

The people were nice, the restaurant was clean but the food had zero flavor. Chili relleno was a chili with cheese on it with tomato sauce. No flavor, no spice just greasy bland sauce. Lots of food for your money but again, no flavor. My partner had chicken quesadilla and it had boiled chicken in it without any seasoning. YUCK. On the plus side, chips and salsa were good and it was very inexpensive. I won't be going back but if you want very Americanized Mexican food it is ok.
