Casa de Montecristo

Been staying near here for a long time and this is my first time here. Henry was so knowledgeable about the different cigars and wasn't just trying to make a sale. He asked about our previous experiences with cigars and what types of flavors we liked. He gave some different recommendations and we decided to try a cigar called Tatianna. It was very sweet and smelled like vanilla. (SIDE NOTE:If you are getting a sweet cigar don't let Jeff see...lol). Henry cut and lit our cigars and we went to sit in the smoking lounge area. One of the things I really liked was that it is BYOB! There is a liquor store right next door too; jackpot! Henry also informed me that there was a location in the Dallas area. I will certainly have to check it out and anytime I am in Houston I'll be back!

I love this spot it's my favorite cigar lounge Very close to my house and the atmosphere is very pleasant Lots of friendly people and the staff members are excellent and knowledgeable I love when I come in the door and they address me by my name (very personal)I love ladies nights and DJ nights I don't go to night clubs however I enjoy the music at the lounge it's different from going to the Hugh night clubI don't really know who manage this location,however I know the guys by name we all familyI would love to one day meet the manager so I can convey to him I love this spot This is my first Yelp review however I've been coming for about 1 Year now and I love it My favorite spot use to be Stogies on Wertheimer but it's a little far from my home so I came to Montecristo and haven't went back!!

Walked down the street from the Doubletree (IAH) to find some food and behold I found a diamond in the rough....awesome atmosphere, cool inside on a hot day, clean air and a great selection of cigars!! Even found "FERAL" by Drew Estate.. a rear find in my travels!!

The staff was amazing and awesome. Knowledgeable and friendly. Great selection and location. Highly recommended

I just have to say this and I hope something is done. I like the new manager Chris, but it seems like after new management the soda machine has not been kept up. It's always empty and as a matter of fact it's empty now. I enjoy sipping on a nice cold BEVERAGE when I'm smoking a good stoogie in my favorite Lounge, Casa de Montecristo JFK.

Nice spot I found on one of my layovers. I'll definitely be back. Great selection of cigars and the staff is so nice.

I'm in Houston for the weekend and I must say, this place is a must visit spot. Cigars and drinks!

Out in Texas for work and found myself here.. great selection, great vibes, nice people. Would recommend 100 percent.. I will be coming back

I come into Montecristo's occasionally. Most of the time I am greeted and asked if I need any help. I went in about two days ago, on my way home and got the WORST service from one of the employees. As I entered into the humidor, it was myself, the Hispanic (believe his name is Ben or Dave) employee of Montecristo, another patron and this suited airplane pilot. Well as I looked around, the employee was waiting on the airplane pilot hand and foot and didn't say a word to the other two patrons in the room. I was shocked of the amount of running around this employee did to please the airplane pilot with his selection. The two of them left out of the humidor, while we were left to find what we needed ( I was looking for Blind Man's Bluff). When I couldn't find the cigar, I went with some other choices and proceeded out of the humidor. By this time, the employee was sitting down and still speaking with the pilot briefly. I asked the other employee who was sitting next to Dave/Ben if they had "Blind Man's Bluff". The gentleman said yes but seemed to not remember where it was until Dave/Ben (as he sat in his chair and never got up), told me to look in the corner on the last shelf. I was shocked/amaze that Dave/Ben pointed me in the direction, however never once provided any help to solve the situation by showing me. I went back to look but still to no cause, I could. It locate it. I proceeded to the counter where I was a bit upset and may have through my cigars on the counter to the young lady who ALWAYS helps me out. I told her a synopsis of why happened and she calmed me down and pleasantly said "See you next time Jay". With a smile I told her "unfortunately you won't".

Good lord this place is loud!!Seriously Loud! The main lounge "conversations" are more like shouting. I'm glad I had earplugs. I love the place other than the constant cacophony assaulting the senses. It was very peaceful until the evening.
