Friendly staff and superb food! Family friendly as well, plenty of outside parking. The dining area was low lit. Plenty of seating options, including a back room for private or more intimate parties.

Food: 4Ambience: 4Service: 4Date/Time: 8/17/2023 7pmCrowd: 1/4 fullOrder: Chicken Parmesan, Spaghetti & MeatballBased on my last review, it's been 7 years since I've been back and I have to say it's improved a bit. The restaurant is still a nice place giving it a more upper midlevel feel. The server was fairly attentive and friendly. She checked back a few times but didn't seem to keep an eye on the refills so had to ask. Other than that, she was pretty good. The food was still good and the "presentation" I mentioned in the past review was far better now with no splatter or crusted sauce... basically the expected flat chicken breast with sauce poured over it and cheese melted on top. The spaghetti had quite a bit of pasta and a very large meatball. Some remnants of water from the spaghetti started seeping out but otherwise tasty.Again, if you're just looking for decent Italian cuisine, you'll like this place. The prices here are in line with this area of Raleigh.

Came here one night looking for some good Italian food. The restaurant was not too busy but our service was not great. Our (non alcoholic drinks) were constantly empty and our waiter was never really around. One thing to note is that pasta comes on the side (?). For example, I believe I got the chicken masala (or picatta, can't remember) and the pasta that comes on the side has red meat sauce on top. If I had known that, I would've asked for no sauce but whatever. The ambiance is fine, casual, chill. Overall, I'm not sure I'd go back again just because service wasn't great, food was ok, and it was an overall meh experience.

We love this place. Arrived early on a Saturday evening--5:30pm and the restaurant was pretty empty, yet we waited too long for our food and then we were rushed. Still waiting after an hour. Sorry we were now in a hurry, so you've lost stars. We would not anticipate needing hours for a meal. Our waitress has disappeared. Things went south from there. My husband's entree eggplant Parmesan was cold in the center. Mine was great--shrimp cacciatore. Thankfully it was enough to share as he sent his back. The hostess who was the only person in sight said she couldn't help us. Wrong answer. The long time manager was a bit gruff with our complaint and then came back to apologize and said he was short staffed in the kitchen. I am so sorry this long time family favorite (as in the days it was Villa Capri in Ridgewood Shopping Center) has fallen victim to the low unemployment rates impacting service providers, particularly restaurants. Our entire bill was comped which was more generous than necessary. We have not given up on you and will try again some time.

**Cheers to review no. 2,000**What do you do when you hit review no. 2,000? You celebrate! I had a glass of white followed by red wine to drink. For food it was the fettuccine carbonara with a side caesar salad for me and the lasagna with a side caesar salad for my husband. You can't pass on dessert, we tried the limoncello cake and tiramisu. All of the food was so good and so was the service. This place was well worth the price spent.

I've never eaten here. I'm from Pennsylvania. I called this restaurant tonight and asked if they could deliver lasagna to my 92 year old aunt who has been battling cancer for five years and has no appetite. Except today she was craving their lasagna. They came through within 30 minutes and made my aunt's day. The next time I'm visiting Raleigh, I'll be getting dinner here. This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars! Thank you, thank you, thank you!Laurie

Nice selection of wines and Italian meals, but the atmosphere is a little dark. Black ceiling, looong corridor of booths, and a weird room divider that made it feel cramped. Ordered the Chicken Piccata with a side salad. Salad came as an appetizer, and when the chicken arrived it felt really small on the plate. Two small breasts with lemon wine sauce and capers. The meal itself was really good, but it was definitely missing a side of vegetables

Clean restaurant. Pasta was a perfect Al dente. Tasty sauces. Attentive service. What impressed me the most was just how hard everyone worked to give patrons a pleasant meal - from hostess to waitstaff to table bussing staff - everyone was hustling. Yet the pace of our meal was perfectly relaxed. And we felt it was a good value for the quality of the food.
