I've had some New Haven pizza and it's one of my favorite styles. The charred thin crust, the olive oil or marinara, just a little cheese, the coal oven smokiness. This wasn't what I remembered. We ordered the white clam pizza. The crust was way too high. And it was too dry, there needed to be more oil. The server asked if we wanted some more grated cheese. We said yes, and when the bill came, we were charged. That's insane. Or at least let us know we have to pay for more Parm.

They add a ridiculous fee to the takeout order. Maybe the dumbest and most greedy act I have experienced with a restaurant.

My son and his wife took us for Capp's Pizza yesterday Saturday October 21, 2023 and we ordered the Cheese Pie 16 inch...when I tell you...THE BEST, MOST DELICIOUS PIZZA in the entire state of NC. My husband and I were born in Williamsburg Brooklyn New York and were very spoiled of having DELICIOUS NY PIZZA everywhere. When we relocated to NC this year, we have tried endless pizzeria's and have been disappointed TILL Capp's. This will be the ONLY PIZZERIA WE EVER ORDER OUR PIZZA FROM. Thank you Capp's, we love ya's...Tina Messina

Italian gem with many locally sourced fresh ingredients. Best pizza I have had outside of Italy. Even the salad was outstanding. Love this family owned place and will be back weekly.

Well, they still do the nickel and diming -- charging like $1 and $2 extra for small extra sides of sauce and parmesan cheese that every other pizza place gladly offers for free. But now they also have the nerve to not only charge a service fee when you PICK UP YOUR OWN PIZZA, but also to request a tip on top of that, with options of 15%, 20% and 22%! So, a tip on a hefty service fee. They're brazen -- you gotta give 'em that. That said, the pizza is good if you're willing to put up with the petty gouging.

Better than most in the area. If you live in pittsboro it's worth the 10 min drive to pickup here instead of Elizabeth's, marcels, marcos, etc. Pizza is consistently good and has a good crust that is slightly crispy and chewy at the same time. Wings are surprisingly good here. I enjoyed the buffalo and Calabrian chili. It is more expensive than most, but here the difference is quality.

"Got Char?" Is their logo, and boy do they have it! Unfortunately, it defines this otherwise fabulous pizza. Many have complained about the "burnt' spots and Capps responds proudly on their website:""My pizza is burned" is something we sometimes hear. These pocks of char are called "leopard spots." They are the measure of a correctly cooked pizza and lend both flavor and texture. ""Unfortunately, while they may look like leopard sports, they are actually just BURNT spots. However, like leopard spots, they do cover the entire crust including the underside (see photos, including one from their website). The resulting flavor they "lend" is one of a very distasteful burnt ash. I tried my best to avoid these spots and enjoy this pizza, but n the end it left a very distasteful ash flavor in my mouth. While I love a charred burger, steak, veggies, etc. I'm sorry, but eating ash is not my idea of good taste, nor do I suspect is very healthy. And I have to say, I've had many similar stone or brick oven-baked pizzas in my long Italian pizza-loving life and all over the world, and some with browning or dark spots, but never have I had anything like this before. If this pizza did not have these burnt spots, it would be a wonderful pizza.(According to this article, these type of burnt spots may be caused by a number of factors: https://www.foodtoimpress.com/pizza/how-to-stop-your-pizza-base-from-burning/).Other less important notes:1. Price Gouging: We ordered 2 pizzas which were listed as $13 and $16 on their website menu, $14 and $16 on the actual in-restaurant menu and finally charged $15 and $18 on our bill, plus an additional $1.76 charge for using a credit card. 2. Not a Place to Dine-In: As others have said, the inside looks more like a warehouse than a restuarant with boxes and supplies strewn everywhere, and does not look very inviting.3. On the positive side, both the gentleman who brought us our pizza and the lady who rang us up were very friendly and professional.
