My sister and I ate here for the very first time, and we can gladly say that everything was wonderful! The atmosphere was relaxing, and the pastas were absolutely delicious! They tasted different and unique compared to other Italian restaurants. Our waitress was kind, too. We will definitely come here again!

I came here earlier for the second time ever and ordered the same dish as the initial dine-in. I purchased a Pasta Bolognese with shiitake mushrooms added to it. It was amazing, bold in numerous flavors, resembled a great bolognese you could get in NYC and very delicious. The pasta was very soft, fresh and well-cooked. It seemed to be handmade. Thick pastas can often be screwy in places, but not here. The meat gravy was really tasty, buttery, meaty, savory and had a very hearty flavor profile overall. The ground meat in it was very well-seasoned. The little cooked carrots, cheese, herbs, etc all played a great role in this excellent entree. The shiitake mushrooms I requested added even more great taste with some contrasting fungi earthiness. The service from my server was very attentive, friendly and efficient. This cafe has the best Bolognese down here as well as the one from Tony's imo. I need to try that tomato cream pasta on their menu and a dessert next time.

I come here sometimes for after work events. The staff seem kind, trying their best to be efficient. The main source seems to be to-go orders. Located right next to the med center, this makes sense. People want to grab and go and head home to the 'burbsI usually get the pizza, which is pretty fair. There large pizza is pretty huge in comparison to big box chains, which is a plus. It's that real pizza oven thin crust style pie.It seems like they really try and create a family-like styled environment. I noted some that look like regulars sitting cozy at the bar. I have ordered some of their pasta dishes to go in the past as well. Not to bad. I need to snap a pic next time!

I've been coming here for years and haven't been in a while. First time ordering take out. Although very good, we were served a small portion of calamari compared to dining in. We typically order King Mike's and it was delicious as always. One of my favorite reasons for coming are the delicious Bellinis and happy to know we could get it to go!! We've missed this place!!

My new favorite place for Pizza!!! I love it when I can order my favorite pizza that I first had in Rome, thin crust, a thin coating of olive oil, cheese, and red onion that's it no sauce nothing else they did it perfectly here just like I had it in Rome do yourself a favor order it when you come in.... I'm not kidding it taste so dang good you won't want to swallow for fear you won't get that flavor again...you will in the next bite!!! We also ordered one with a special Italian sausage, pepperoni and onion and it was excellent as well. Norman asked me why I wasn't eating my pizza bones after three slices and I told him I was saving them for last they were just that good. Highly recommend this restaurant and when you're there ask for Thomas, one of the best servers I've had in a long time.

We had a really nice dinner here and were very pleasantly surprised by some of our dinner options. The prosciutto and arugula wood-fired pizza was extremely good. The cheese tasted slightly garlicky, and the crust was very nicely done - very fresh. The shrimp bianca cappolini pasta was "exquisite" according to my wife. "The sauce had a really nice complexity to it that hit all the taste buds in the right ways" (also from my wife).Try the Sancerre!

This used to be our goto favorite neighborhood Italian and pizza restaurant. We would order three to four times a month. Then they changed up the menu and the way they prepared their food post covid. The food has not been the same since.Plus even before the inflation of the last three years they greatly increased prices while shrinking portions.We decided to try the restaurant again a few days ago after a nearly two year break, hoping that food had improved. Sadly it is just not much anymore.

Excellent service either way Megan. Food was amazing. Very authentic. Didn't feel like those copycat Italian restaurants. Super friendly. Wonderful atmosphere. They should've been playing Dean Martin music though! Highly recommend this place. We live in the South Padre Island.
