I was looking for a good coffee place where my friend and I could sit and talk chisme. The horchata latte is really what drew us to this place. It did not disappoint either! It was so good! Was it an authentic horchata flavor? No, but it was still pretty great. So great that I took my husband a couple of weeks later for the same latte. There were several places to sit and talk, we even got to sit on one of their couches, which made the gossip easier. We stayed so long that we ended up each ordering a second latte. The whole place is very outdated and old but that's exactly what they are going for. It's definitely just an old house that was converted into a coffee shop. It was busy when we got there and it stayed busy for the entire time we were there. The service was quick, though, so we never waited very long for our lattes. It was a great experience, we'll definitely be back for our next café y chisme session.

This is a cozy coffee house perfect for working at, as it is filled with folks on their laptops. Luckily it's quiet so you can enjoy a coffee and get your work done.Service was straightforward and fast. If it is busy, I would just Google their menu as they only had one at the front. Now for the important part: the coffee.I ordered the cafe de olla, with creamer. It was smooth, not overpowering, with lovely light notes of cinnamon and sugar. Not overly sweet, just a hint. My boyfriend ordered the campesino cafe con leche which was essentially the same as the cafe de olla but with more milk. The flavor was even lighter in this one but very good! Again not too sweet just smooth with a delicate cinnamon flavor.I really enjoyed the coffee, it was simple, but good and the cups they serve them in are so cute. I will definitely go back to try other flavors. The coffee prices were also pretty affordable compared to their joints.

I love this coffee shop. This just a comment on what happened today. Nothing pertaining to the wonderful service I normally experience here. So I just went to alert an employee at the front about a woman sitting close to us outside. That she was smoking outside. And instead of talking to her, he told me it is legal. That they allow it at this establishment. And I reiterated that it is illegal. But he didn't seem to think is. And I don't want to fault him for not knowing the law. But the managers should better educate their employees. Because it is illegal in the city of Houston for anyone to be smoking within 50 of the door.

No nuts in the coffee!I met a friend here and it was pretty full on a Sunday afternoon. There's seating indoors and a larger area in the back. You order and pick up at the counter. I had to park on a nearby street.Lovely, flavorful coffee at a reasonable price WITH a free refill? Perfect for catching up with a friend or a first date. It's a great spot that I'd definitely return to.

The ambiance from the moment you step inside is tranquil, serene and quiet-- I just KNOW I'll finally be able to finish coding and develop my software skills even more by visiting more frequently and not having my annoying anxious avoidant neighbor trying to start a conversation every 5 minutes in the common space area of where I reside.I can finally sip my coffee in peace and get some work done at the same time. Latina owned business and I look forward to returning again! El cafe de olla tastes just as if I made it at home, fresh y con un toque de canela traen el pan dulce del "El Bolillo", the best spot to buy pan dulce in Houston in my humble and ferocious foodie opinion. Como Hispana, y mas que nada, Mexicana y Cubana, a good cup of coffee is hard to find up to my standards... but this spot passes the test. It reminded me so much of my usual favorites in Austin, TX. This is one spot you do NOT want to miss within the Houston city limits for good pan dulce y un cafecito for the road .

The coffee is good and the cozy vibe is what coffee shops in this town are missing ! Service is slow and outdoor seating is not great though... Parking:There is plenty of parking ! You can park in the lot of on the street. They also have a bike area Seating:There are a lot of cozy couches/ seats inside the main part of the house. The rest of the space has 2 top tables and 2/3 group tables. Unfortunately the 2 tops are seem to get taken by individuals , which cuts the seating in half (especially since the tables are quite small so sharing can be a challenge). They do have a large side patio with plenty of additional seating but it needs some TLC. The tables wobble and there's basically no shade/coverage (there were 2 broken umbrellas when I came). Drinks:I got the cafe con leche and it was amazing ! I love that they have south American coffee and food. The coffee specifically is delicious and makes it stand out from the rest of the coffee shops in Houston Service: The service is lacking. On a Sunday late morning they only had 2 people lacking. Orders were taken very slowly and people were waiting around the order area for quite a while. They wouldn't call drinks out loudly either so there was confusion when people tried to get their items. If they added names to the orders and projected more this would help out a lot. Other things: I don't think they had the AC on inside which made it very hot... They have single stall bathrooms They do have a ramp from the parking so it seems to be wheelchair accessible Overall it's a cute place and the coffee is good but they could do some things to make the space a bit better (especially the patio which would help with seating!)

What a cute place to grab coffee with a friend and study! I like the cozy, homey feel to this coffee shop. The staff was helpful in helping me select a coffee and pastry item. Pointing out the most popular items and sharing their favorite. While I enjoyed the chocolate muffin quite a bit, the coffee I got was not anything to write home about. It had some subtle hints of honey and cinnamon (felt kind of like a tea at times). It was okay.If you prefer strong/robust flavors for your coffee then I'm not sure this is quite the spot for you. However, if your looking for something simple and smooth to enjoy with friends- this might be for you! Just not for me.

A home turned into such a cute cozy coffee shop with delicious coffee. There is limited parking in front and the side of the building. There is a new big parking lot behind the coffee shop that you are able to park at.Multiple sitting: bar style, couches, table seating, and patio seating. If you enjoy your coffee there then you get a mug to enjoy it in.I loved the cafe con leches. No hint of bitter coffee and not sweet. Deliciousness in a cup.Add this place to your rotation if coffee shops to visit whether it's for me time, study time, socializing, or work time.
