Arrived for a Saturday lunch, we had just missed the breakfast menu which is what we were craving but the food was still very tasty. The place is adorable, very cute vibes with the restaurant being in a renovated greenhouse with lots of plants everywhere and great lighting. But the place was well conditioned, very comfortable temperature. The food was good. I went with a smoked salmon BLT, which was unique and tasted surprisingly good. I would rather try some other items on the menu. The quiche was the star of the show though. I have had quiches before that are overcooked and gross. This one was cooked to perfection . The egg was light and fluffy and the brie added extra richness and creaminess. The crust was not soggy but firm to bite.

My fiancée asked me if I wanted to eat at Cake. I originally told her I didn't want to have dessert for brunch, so boy was I glad when this place also happened to serve really good food! This is definitely one of the coolest spots I've eaten at. The greenhouse-esque ambience brings in so much light and makes it feel like you're having an outdoor experience. Our waiter was very pleasant and was able to tell us about a variety of specials being offered. My turkey BLT was good-- nothing incredibly outstanding but just an overall solid sandwich. However, the quiche was really delicious. It was creamy and flavorful (asparagus, brie, and caramelized onions) with a crumbly, soft crust. Plan to come back to try more food and to have their dessert.

Cute spot with decently fast and friendly service. Love the ambient lighting and the greenhouse setting! My husband and I stopped in for Saturday lunch and were able to get a table within 20 minutes, which we spent perusing the bookstore around the corner. Once we sat down, we ordered a tuna sandwich with chips and a beet and citrus arugula salad with a side of grilled chicken. For the quality of the ingredients, portion size, and location, the price was reasonable. But the food itself was just fine. The tuna salad was a bit fishy, and otherwise pretty standard. The beet and citrus "salad" was more of a tower, and it tasted good but I wish they'd given more arugula. The grilled chicken had good flavor but was pretty dry. Still, overall, we enjoyed the meal and ended up finishing with a chocolate peanut butter tart, which was heavy, sweet, and satisfying.

Hey, Yelp family! Now THIS review takes the cake! (pun intended) I can't begin to tell you how cozy and beautiful the ambiance here at Cake is.What impressed me the most is their intention of having windowpanes take up half of the space from the walls to the ceiling that radiate natural light. Top that off with beautiful large plants and a small water fountain in the middle of the cafe. That really makes you forget where you are in a good way. My favorite thing about the food was how well seasoned and crispy my potatoes were and how good the iced coffee was. My omelette was nice and fluffy and was just the right amount of food. Service was solid. I actually would be very interested to see how beautiful It would be in there while it's raining. I can't wait to come back and try some more of the dishes soon. Has anyone else been to Cake and what have you tried while there???

Tip: This place does not take reservation, only walk-in waitlist. We waited about an hour to get a table of four people for our Sunday brunch. So be aware of a long waiting time or get there early. The dining area is much smaller than we expected. People were really nice. Food portion is definitely worth the price! Their Ribeye steak & egg was our fav dish among the four dishes we ordered (breakfast plate, breakfast burrito, French toast). Another thing I really liked from here was their scramble eggs w/ cheese! Burrito was huge but the overall flavor of it was okay. French toast was soft but the portions of cream & berries were very small (mostly just bread & maple syrup). The downside about here were limited options of sweet brunch dishes (only French toast & Belgium waffle) and they only have plain/black coffee option.

Have your cake and eat it too! What a beautiful spot in Chestnut Hill! We stumbled upon this spot when we were out gallery viewing. It appears to have been a greenhouse at one point and now an adaptive use restaurant. We had a short wait on a weekend at lunch time. The server was very friendly and attentive to us. We were also amused by the gentleman at the table next to us who raved and raved about their hangar steak. Apparently, he often finds he's too late and it's sold out on the menu. My husband got their quiche special which was deep and full of goodies. I ordered the crab cake and really enjoyed it. We also split a key lime pie - YUM. I think their baking is probably their signature skillset.I would definitely go back here and highly recommend it. I think they probably take reservations and that would be a good idea. Great spot. Great service. Great ambiance.

I'm on 2 weeks vacation in Philly, found this place by my family. This place is super super nice to go for breakfast or brunch. It's a cute place, all glass windows and it looks clean and relaxing. Friendly staff. I ordered quinoa salad without orzo , added chicken on the side and chicken came out perfect no overcooked. I definitely be coming back Everything what I wanted! Highly recommended for everyone
