Been driving past this restaurant for months and finally decided to go in, and I'm so glad I did. Cafe y chocolate is a hidden gem. The drinks and food were amazing and the service was great. This is definitely my new go to spot!

This hot chocolate might be best in Philly.Super cute, seemingly hidden spot. Service is great. Staff is super helpful in explaining anything and everything on the menu. Prices are pretty reasonable for brunch. Dinner menu prices are better.

Wow. We have dined here before and it has always been good. Today is was great, one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I started with the lemon ginger honey tea which exceeded my expectations. All the ingredients were FRESH, no tea. For lunch my husband and I shared the brisket tacos and seafood soup. I started with the brisket tacos w/ consommé... I can't believe how good they were. The consommé was so rich and complex, the brisket crispy yet juicy. The seafood soup was made with guajillo and tomato broth served with the perfect crusty bread. I ate it until I could not eat anymore. Atmosphere is welcoming and authentic. The barista was friendly and knew what he was doing. We live this place, you will too.

I've been here a couple of times now. I get the cafe con chocolate each time, which is too rich and chocolatey to pass up for any coffee lover. Get the churros as a plus if you have a sweet tooth. They are crispy and not overly sweet. The waiter even boxed the leftovers for me with extra chocolate.I also came here with friends for Valentine's Day. They were giving away free sangrias to anyone old enough having dinner there, and also had a Valentine's special that came with an additional glass of wine. I got the tacos al pastor, one friend got birria tacos (not on the menu, but they made it for her), and another friend got the steak and potatoes Valentine's special. All the meats that came with our dinners were tender and juicy, and the sangria was sweet. In any case, I'd recommend coming here any time of day for something as quick as a coffee or something more substantial like an entire meal.

I came here to try their famous Mexican hot chocolate and it was pretty good. It was thick and creamy delicious. We had Ceviche as an appetizer. It was good, but wish the shrimp was fresher. We also had shrimp tacos and ribeye steak. They were okay. A little disappointed, because I expected to be authentic Mexican food. However, Churros were hot and crispy good.

This place is amazing. The coffee/hot chocolate combo, the mango smoothie, the service, the lovely ambiance. I went with a vegan and non vegan crowd and we all ate very well. I ordered the ribeye medium rare. It came out a little overcooked but still so flavorful and delicious. I am def going to be a repeat customer.

Loved how cozy and traditional this restaurant is. The staff is very polite and friendly. Lovely service and the food is excellent. We had huevos rancheros, huevos rancheros al pastor and enchiladas divorciadas with steak, tamarind juice, horchata and cafe con chocolate. Everything was excellent, cooked well and authentic. Good prices and serving sizes. Will be back!
