Usually the food is great! Maybe it was because they close at 3 and we made it there in the drive through at 2:30, I ordered moist brisket and when I got home most of it was hard , dry, and old. we always come here and the food , service is always amazing.

First time coming here to this location with my family. Being here in this little of ours, I do love eating at C&Js. I do like other bbq joints in Austin, but it's just too far and more expensive regardless of how delicious they are. This place did not fail. We're from Hawaii and my family came to visit me and requested for Texas bbq. I of course bring them here because the prices aren't too crazy and the food is good. I had a family of 15 so we ordered a mixture of cheeseburgers, briskets, pork ribs, sausages, chicken tenders, and burnt ends (pork belly). For sides, we got mac-n-cheese, pinto beans, fried okra, and cheesy mashed potatoes. Overall, delicious food, but for the price for the portion, it is definitely expensive. If you got the money, always swing by C&J because they are the best in town to me.The staff were all friendly and fast. There were a lot of seats and tables to include a little station for pickles and onions. They have a lot of parking available as well.

Stopped in for some BBQOrdered the Brisket, jalapeños sausage, and ribs, with green beans and monthly special carrots and broccoli. He was ok, the brisket and ribs were a little fatty for me. Jalapeños sausage was excellent.Service was fast and friendly.Inside is super cool with nice stuff to check out. Pics attached

Invited to a shindig. Met a large group. Had the entire patio reserved for us (about 50 people.) This place is big. And so clean! Two major red flags when entering a BBQ joint. Standard set up. Get in line, place your order, watch them grab meat from under a warming light (red flag) and hack it into pieces to throw on your plate. Pay at the end of the line. The nice thing about a group, if you don't hate each other you can try stuff off other's plates....Food is good. Nice brisket. Should have gone with the lean (I never go with lean). Chicken is kind of flavorless with rubbery skin (remember those warming lights). Pork ribs a little too sweet for my palate but I'm sure they're great sellers. Sausage was great! Jalapeño cheese and regular. Sides: beans, green beans, greens, and potato salad were all good. A couple smaller groups (20ish each) were also easily accommodated in the main area. Probably 100 people total in the main area. Remember this place is BIG! Big enough to have more than 2 stalls in the restroom...I'd come back again for the company but would prefer heading over to Martin's Place while in B/CS for the BBQ.

So I'm back at this BBQ place around 7:30 pm tonight. I asked for marble brisket, what I got was dry meat that was literally crumbling in front of me. That being said be warned not to come to this restaurant when they are about to close, you will get old dry meat. If I was the manager or the owner I would be embarrassed to serve food like that to a regular customer. But I'm going to continue to go to c&j and I will continue to right negative reviews until they get their s*** together, and actually get me what I asked for.

It was decent mass produced BBQ. It did hit the spot after a long drive and DoorDash delivery though

The food, the brisket, moist brisket was amazing. Love it the prizes outstanding you can't find brisket for 11 bucks half a pound anywhere great service and definitely outstanding flavor. The restaurant is really convenient. It's got plenty of room. I'm gonna have to drive back again. Probably next week with my kids from Houston.

This is no chain BBQ; it's the real deal Texas BBQ! I am a certified BBQ judge and have eaten a lot of BBQ from different regions. I can say, based on experience that C&J is up there with the big boys of Texas BBQ! And of course, Texas BBQ is king!My whole family went out for a nice dinner at C&J on Memorial Day evening. We were thrilled to see them open and not out of BBQ. We were quickly greeted up front and went on down the line trying to choose from all of the delicious looking meats, sides and desserts. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were so many of us that we had a little of everything.I had the brisket and sausage. The Brisket was the best! Traditional Texas with plenty of pepper, perfectly done and moist. It was some of the very best that I've had. The sausage was good, but seemed to be traditional Kielbasa. I would have enjoyed beef, but it is not offered. The two sausages offered are pork and spicy pork. Also, I was a little disappointment that I only got 3, half-slices of brisket. It appears as though you get less if you order two meats. Still it was excellent! Live and learn...My son had the pork spare ribs. They were Texas style with pepper and no sauce. The were also excellent! While I did not try the chicken half, they also looked to be a perfect Texas-style half. The sauce on-the-side was really good. There was regular and spicy. It has a tomato base and slightly sweet. Just the way like it. The only dish that we really didn't care for was by Dad's chopped beef sandwich. It was very finely chopped and soggy. I think a coarse chop with less sauce would have been much better. The sides were also very good. We had fried okra and my favorite was the collard greens. Yum! Almost everything was delicious! I will definitely be back and this time know what to order. That brisket is extraordinary! And don't forget to finish it off with a blackberry or peach cobbler. Better yet, the banana pudding!

I'm sorry but it seems to me that the food you order through the drive thru is the kind that they don't serve or don't want inside. It was a joke what they did with my plate because they gave me double meat because they didn't have what I asked for and they gave me half and burned that should not be done
