C & J Barbeque - Aggieland Store

Brisket tasted a little burnt and bland, mac and cheese was also bland, and the fried Okra was bland. I did not enjoy any part of my meal other than the ice tea. Maybe it was a bad day, but I can only rate on what I was served. The seating inside/ambiance was nice, like the free sides (pickles, jalapeños, bbq sauce, onions...) and the horns down. The service was just at the counter and they do cut the meat i front of you, although you only get 3 pieces of brisket with the plate. Overall bland and overpriced in my experience, but maybe it's better another time.

Solid BBQ located in a strip mall, but presented in a classic BBQ format. I am from Iowa, but have begun visiting College Station a couple of times per year. Frankly, I have been a bit disappointed in the BBQ in CS/Bryan. Made a fast stop here due to good reviews, and I need to add one.The brisket, jalapeño sausage and pork burnt ends were all very good. The pork burnt ends were probably the best meat on my plate -- cooked just right and leaner than most pork belly burnt ends. The sides were also really good. I had okra, slaw and collard greens. The greens were my least favorite thing... they were a little soggy, and not much flavor and not even a hint of a kick.All-in-all, this is just what I purports for be! Good smoked meats in a really informal atmosphere.

Awesome and delicious food! Highly recommend anyone who loves BBQ and the catfish is top shelf and made fresh to order.Restaurant is clean and environment is great!Staff is very friendly and serve food promptly.Plenty of space and not overly crowded.Great parking and very clean part of town.Prices are fairly reasonable and plenty of food. Will be back again!

VERY overpriced and overrated!Two small sandwiches and 3 spoons of flavorless beans for two- $30Service wasn't friendly Sauce isn't goodSides were old(Oh and they charge $1 per sandwich "for slicing")We cancelled or and walked out then went to Rudy's which was so much better with great service and a wonderful ambiance. The sandwich was so much bigger for less that we could barely finish it.

Came here for first time with my wife. We were looking for a heavy lunch and this place was highly rated and nearby. I ordered the 2 meats (brisket and pork belly) with ranch potatoes and pinto beans. The portion was smaller than I thought, but it was perfect for my appetite. My wife ordered the smoked chicken with ranch potatoes and corn. Both plates were flavorful and delicious. It was kinda pricey considering the portion, but like I stated, it was fulfilling and yummy. I'd come back to try other meats.The staff were fast and friendly. Lots of tables and chairs and TV to watch sports. Small parking lot outside.

I came in as a delivery driver yesterday. Please, keep in mind, we represent your customers as we are delivering to YOUR customers who placed an order to be delivered. We should be treated with the same attention and respect as the customer as we are providing both you and them a service. I'm not going to go into detail, read into it.As I was waiting for the order, I was looking at your menu and wowza on your prices! My husband and I had chatted about trying this place, but after seeing the prices and reading your very defensive feedback to every negative review, we will pass. Please, realize that delivery drivers also eat out and we have a choice too. Please, remind your staff to be courteous.Also, you don't have to have an answer for every review. Sometimes a simple "we apologize and will try to do better" will suffice. I gave 3 on the service as I can't speak on the food. I will say it smelled good, but it's Texas BBQ so not really that far fetched.

I LOVE C&J. It's real Texas pit barbeque. The meat on the ribs falls off the bone - so juicy and tender. The sausage, the brisket, the chicken - all equally as amazing. On meatless days (my choice) I've even gone in for the sides only. Try the pinto beans (over cornbread) with a side of potato salad. Every bit as good as I make at home and my kitchen stayed clean! I'm a native Texan but new to the area, and this was the very first place recommended to me by my cousin who's lived here forever. On our first lunch date, we entered behind three elderly farmer/ranchers who were obviously regulars. They were so friendly and fun, it was added to the true BBQ Texas experience! I can't guarantee those guys will be there when you visit, but I can guarantee you'll love the daily specials, the sides and all the sauces.

We were very happy with our sandwiches and sides yesterday! We're in a climate where everyone is raising their prices, and food quality is often low these days because employees don't care. Then I end up disappointed because I wasted money. I found a different experience at C&J and it was a great find! Everything about our sandwiches and sides- generous portion of meat on a large bun, quality, flavor and texture of all the food we had was really good and satisfying. AND on top of that, great prices. The order was two brisket sandwiches packed with meat, and two small sides (a sandwich and a side each for two people and it was definitely enough food for lunch- the sandwiches were big!) and the bill before tip was $25 which for bbq (or really anything these days tbh) is almost unheard of, and during these times we really appreciate that. The friendly staff made the to go order that much more pleasant for the few minutes I was in there... and you might think who cares, but those small things really do make a difference. We will definitely be back! I have found my bbq place!

I ordered a two meat plate to go for take out. I ordered ribs and brisket with a side of Cole slaw and collard greens. The greens were very made with lots of flavor and the cole slaw was very fresh. I loved the sides. The brisket was Smokey and sliced very well. The ribs were thick but just a bit dry on certain pieces. The bbq sauce was ok but overall the total meal was a four out of five. I would order again. Service was fast and got the order right quickly. The restaurant ambiance is suitable for bbq place.
