Great BBQ, convenient location right inside Kroger! Loaded potatoes are to die for! Customer service is fast and courteous. Food is hot and tasty.

As a person that grew up in Acres Homes, the food is nowhere near the taste it used to have. Sausage was chewy. Chopped brisket was very greasy and lacked any bbq flavor. Awfully pricey. The sandwiches are big but lack flavor. We tried it twice and same results. Another bbq place in Katy that didn't meet the taste factor. The location in acres homes has better tasting food. This is almost like an imitation.

Burns barbecue recently open inside the Kroger near my home. I've been trying to get to their regular location, but never had the chance so one day I had time I went over for lunch.I ordered ribs, dirty rice, and mac & cheese. They all were very good. The ribs were not is tender as I would've liked, but they were still OK. The mac & cheese with cheesy and a dirty rice was spicy. They are really set up nice in there and I'm sure they are getting a lot of business. I will definitely go back for lunch again to try some different items.

For a quick fix for BBQ this little restaurant inside Krogers is great. You don't have to wait long at all. I ordered the baked potato with 2 meats (I believe sausage is already added). They stuffed that potato with so much stuff that it definitely filled me up. The Mac n cheese was just ok and I ordered it as a side. I also ordered the honey sweet tea, which is served in a bottle, but has a carbonated taste to it (which I'm not a fan of). Otherwise, great BBQ to eat just before you go grocery shopping.

I'm starting to think no one in Houston has ever had good bbq before. This meat was so tasteless then the store bought bbq sauce threw it right out of the window. HOW do you mess up macaroni and cheese!? People were nice but the food was unbelievably plain.

Sign says they open at 11am, as of now 12pm they are still preparing and can't sell anything, I love the BBQ there, but the service has gone down horribly.

I was going to take out some brisket for my husband's supper. The lady greeted me with, "We have one potato left and it has your name on it!" How can I resist that? I left with 2 meat brisket and ribs for him and the stuffed potato for me! We were very impressed with the quality of the food! The macaroni and cheese was good and cheese-y. The green beans were well flavored. The potato stuffed with chopped brisket with all the trimmings was delicious. We were able to get 3 meals apiece from the generous servings! You are not paying for atmosphere in Kroger's, but we will carry out from them again and again!

Born and raised in the 44. I was of the first to have eaten the best if not the greatest bbq in Houston! In the beginning, the city and much of notable celebrities agreed. Fast forward to today the quality has really went South (no pun intended). I was happy to see that there was an ACTUAL first expansion after of about 40+ years of the venue so, I had to give them another try. Utter failure as the side portions alone were a rip off and the quality of the food is even worse (All dry because they prepare NOTHING in-house!). This experience only solidified my decision to go elsewhere and never return till a relaunch of the brand. Others, you have been warned.....Whoever is the brains behind expansion and QA, RETHINK! You are ruining a Houston staple and the legacy of the Burns family! Seriously!!!!!!! Stop the operation and rethink the approach!

The food is great and the service. Check them out as soon as possible. I love the inside of the place.
