Burlap and Bean West End Roast House

Tried to charge us $3 for a cup of ice, after I had already purchased a $6 cold brew (which is not in ready to drink format) - absolutely insanity. Stay away from this scam of a place that clearly cannot exhibit basic hospitality!

Cutest place for breakfast & seasonal toasts! We had the harvest toast & lemon ricotta. Both were excellent. Ambiance 11/10Brown sugar clove latte & fig spice lattes were out of this world. Strange but in the best way!

UPDATE: Stopped back at this kitschy spot because I really want to like it; I'm just never in the area. Decided to go in a different direction and had a matcha latte with oat milk and it definitely didn't disappoint! Unsweetened matcha lattes are quite difficult to come by for some reason, and this one is delicious. 10/10 recommend!Taking off 1 for the parking situation only (not many parking spaces and street parking is even worse).

Amazing and unique menu. I talked won't be owner about getting some locations in philly. It's a bit away from where I live but I'll take the trek for their drinks and food items. The Ube latte is amazing. Great service as well

Service is good lately but the seating area smelled like gasoline and the smell didn't go away even after 30 mins. I didn't want to rush to leave but didn't want to be breathing that in. Coffee is good but the grilled cheese was a big disappointment, I got the grilled cheese that had tomato, cheese, pickles and bacon. It tasted so bland and barely had any bacon in it. Also asked for the tomato and pickles to be in the grilled cheese but the pickles were left out. This doesn't make me want to try their other food.

Idk what they lace their sweet corn latte with but it kept me energized throughout the entirety of a 13 hour childcare day

If in the area, highly recommend! I came to the area for Swarthmore and struggled to find a spot for breakfast and coffee. I decided to try this place and really enjoyed this spot. I loved the Black Sesame Iced Coffee which was amazing. I tried a few of the breakfast items but highly recommend the yogurt bowls which have a bunch of different customizable toppings. My biggest complaint is that there is no indoor seating just outdoor.

I cannot say enough about this amazing coffee house! The quality and flavor of their coffee is incredible. Their menu offers a wide variety of interesting flavors and combinations for drinks. The food is always fresh and delicious. The staff is always kind and you are greeted with a smile. The location is dynamic in that there is a beautiful park across the street (if you are looking to take a stroll with coffee in hand) and if not they offer a inviting patio for you to sit and enjoy your beverage. To top all of it off they roast their own beans on premise! This place is the best! If you haven't given it a try- I highly suggest you do. You will be enchanted!

Burlap and Bean has become our go-to coffee shop in Media when we are in-town visiting family from Chicago. Of all the competition in the area: Burlap is the standout for a variety of reasons.First, it is the best tasting and highest quality coffee. From drip/black coffee to fancy/creative espresso drinks: you can't go wrong. Everything is delicious and will meet your coffee needs. Some personal favorites are the nitro cold brew and seasonal lattes such as the Honey Bee Latte.Second, the food is delicious! I've had a couple of their salads and the quantity, quality, and freshness is divine. I had the strawberry almond salad today and it was perfect on this hot day. My husband had the avocado toast and it was scrumptious. They do not hold back on the avocado or other ingredients, creating a hearty and flavorful experience!Third, the staff are friendly, the location is clean and inviting, and the plants/pots are fun to look over as you wait! We love it and always look forward to the next stop. I love to get my espresso beans from here and ive trued some of their fun lattes and always enjoyed them! Today i tried one of the breakfast burritos and it honestly wasnt good. The eggs seemed to be hard boiled instead of scrambled, and it was so little!! Ill stick to the awesome coffee
