Service - 5/5. The line moves quickly with their clipboard system of choosing what you want, and confirming at the register. They are efficient and close early. Service is friendly and nice. Ambiance - it's good as a burger place. There's a mural on the wall, crashing wave picture. There's pictures coloring book pages on the walls too. It's clean, and certainly doesn't smell like greasy fast food. Food 4/5. The burger was cooked to perfection, hot juicy but the patties were bit on the thin side even when you double it up. It was good, I prefer something slightly thicker like a 1/3 lb burger but I liked the freshness of the veggies and the sauces to choose from. The waffle fries were hot and crispy. I don't know if I would return since their hours are quite limited 10-3pm but it is good, just not worth it to me to go out of my way to have again. But if you're in the area and want to try a better burger I'd come here.

I only have good things to say about out this place. What burger place consistently makes top 100 restaurants list?! This place rightfully earns its spot on the list because you cannot find another burger place where so much care and effort is put into a humble burger. You can craft/create your own burger and put on all the topping that you want. The quality is always consistent and is super high. My favorite is to do like a mushroom Swiss burger, on the sweet sourdough bread. Yes, you can choose everything down to the type of bread that you want! If you're not in the mood for a burger, they also have hot dogs that you can customize. If you don't eat beef, they have fish or chicken, and even falafel for those who might be vegetarian. It's a great place where you can really find something for everyone, even kids! They have a great kids menu that comes with a coloring page and crayons to color! The fries are delicious and you can choose between regular fries, sweet potato, tater tots, or even fried cheese curds. I've tried it all, and I love it all. They also have lotus root chips which is nice and crispy. They have sodas, iced tea, lemonade, and even alcoholic drinks! You can get refills on your sodas. I also suggest getting a milkshake because it really is so delicious. They house make so many different things, including most of their sauces. Everything is just so high quality. The attention to detail is amazing and so meticulous. The service is awesome. They're there to help make sure you are getting exactly what you want, even if you didn't know you wanted it. The staff you can tell is passionate and care so much about their craft!

Came here at around 1pm on a Saturday, there's a long line. We noticed the line never dies down, which is a great sign but also be prepared to wait, don't come here starving or if you need a quick in and out ordering process. But I gotta say, it's worth the wait. One of the best burger places we've been, the meat is so juicy and flavorful, they offer a variety of different sauces you can choose to be served on the side or in your burger. Definitely get the fried cheese curds, it's like mini fried mozzarella, comes with marinara sauce, it's so crispy! They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, outdoor seating is super chill and airy. Great place to bring your kids and family.

There was a line when we went but it was closer to closing. They have different colored paper for different items like beef, chicken, fish. You select everything you want on the paper and hand it in when you get to the front of the line. We ordered drinks and were given a token to take to the bar area so they can make your drink for you. The sweet potato waffle fries were really good and the burger was ok, maybe would have been better with the ticker patties. It's spacious and the service was pretty quick but I didn't think is was mouth watering good. It's a decent burger for sure though.

There's nothing quite as satisfying as a well made burger. Burger-chan had been on my bucket list for quite some time. They're only open for lunch, which can be a bit of an inconvenience for some.Burgers here are build your own via a paper list of ingredients and toppings to create your perfect burger. They also have other options such as hot dogs and awesome unique flavored milk shakes. My sour dough bun held the contents of my burger well. The tots I requested extra crispy were perfect. I can see why every loves the scallion creamy sauce. It's tasty with everything! There's plenty of seating offered indoors and outdoors. Love the fun vibe!Definitely one of my favorite burger spots

Great food!! I got takeout and it was incredible. Not a long wait - only four people in line at noon on a Wednesday. Highly recommend adding sautéed mushrooms and onions to the burger. I got all the freebies on it as well. The sautéed Serranos are also a really great flavor if you can handle the heat. The kids size is more than enough for me - I'm like a 5'5 petite girl so use that information as you need. Overall, this is my new favorite burger in Houston! Very well cooked and I will definitely be going back.

Super excited I got to try a restaurant on Yelp's top 100 restaurants for 2023! Burger-chan is a customizable burger, chicken sandwich, fish sandwich, hot dog, and flafel restaurant with an Asian fusion flare. When you come in, you pick a menu from the wall and customize what you'd like to eat. The combinations are endless. Burger-chan makes sauces in house. There are also delicious milkshakes with flavors like sesame, sweetcorn, Vietnamese coffee, and more. There's a bar with sake, wine, and beer. Gluten feee and vegetarian/vegan options available (no vegan milkshakes). I will caution that the line is very long, but worth it - so plan accordingly. Also, note that this spot is only open for lunch, not dinner.

I'm so surprised that this pace doesn't have more reviews on Yelp, considering it was in Yelp's top 100 places to eat. They have halal beef now, which is the only reason I came here. This place was PACKED! The line itself was out the door and I waited in it about 30 mins. This brings me to my next point, they had a sign saying that they may not be able to accommodate halal requests if they are super busy, but when I got to the register they had no problem cooking our burgers on a separate surface! I really liked the concept of ordering here and it made it fast and simple by the time I got to the register to pay. My burger was huge and I'd say good portion for the pricing (I paid $19 for everything). The taste was also good, very fresh and the aioli I got on it added a lot of flavor. It was a little messy to eat. I didn't think the fried cheese curds were all that special, they're basically like mini mozzarella sticks. Overall still a good meal. The ambiance here was nice as well, I'd recommend having someone in your party snag a table while the others wait in line because seating is limited with the huge crowd they have.

Highly recommended! I'll keep this short and sweet:1. Service is excellent. Staff is super kind and friendly. Cashier always double checks your order and ensures you understand what you ordered. Once in a while, the ordering line can get long and food may take a while. Don't go during a super busy time and expect fast food-like speed. This is a high quality establishment. 2. Ambiance is great. Ample seating, indoor and outdoor covered picnic tables. Restaurant is clean. Parking is easy. 3. The food is delicious. It always comes out hot, and everything I've ever ordered has been super tasty. There are so many good burger places in Houston, and Burger Chan is definitely at or near the top of the list. 4. Lastly, Burger Chan is good at math. They always have a complicated yet solvable math problem to solve, giving the kids something to do while gobbling down their burgers. If you get the right answer and are able to show your work, you get a treat!

Burger-Chan is great, I don't understand any of the bad reviews of people complaining unnecessarily about this place and I'm glad I didn't listen to those reviews. The burgers here are smash burger and they have a really unique flavor I don't see in burgers from other places, this flavor is especially enhanced by the sweet sourdough bun more so than the brioche bun they have as an option. Their vegetables are fresh and it looks like they make their own pickles which adds even more flavor to the food. They were super busy on a Saturday afternoon when I went but they still got me my food really quickly. The only complaint I have is that I don't feel like they gave me enough tater tots but otherwise then that I can't wait to come back here and try their burger salad and other fries. Only downside is that they close so early, I wish they stayed open longer. I highly recommend this place.
