My love for Asian food is endless! Love me some noodles and can't seem to get enough of them. Was looking for a place nearby that served noodles and more. Stopped by with the family on a Sunday afternoon and found the place completely empty. We asked the waitress for recommendations to pair with the dishes we wanted. Had the steam dumplings paired with a sauce that was super delicious complimenting the dumplings. . My husband had a taste of soup ordered the hot and sour served in a huge bowl. The soup itself after having one small serving is enough. Once you had hot & sour soup anywhere, pretty much the same here. The general Tso's was good like any other Chinese place, it's also served with white rice. The Tossed Fried Flat Rice Noodle with Beef was recommended by our served as a protein option. The noodles very cooked to perfection and meat seasoned very well. It's a good place to enjoy Chinese food at an affordable price.

I've been here a few times with my family and like the location because it's close to where I live. It is one of the better Chinese places in the Sugar Land area. We ordered the flat rice noodle with beef and satay sauce and the beef flat rice noodle. We also ordered the general Tso's chicken and a seafood congee with the Chinese fried donuts. The portion sizes could be better though. We saw another table's general tso's which was substantially more than the one they served us. There are also vegetarian options. We ordered a dish with fried egg and butter melon which was a pleasant surprise for me. All in all, it's a good choice for a family meal. Our main qualm is the service. When it came down to the bill, obviously multiple people in our family were fighting for the bill (in true Chinese style). My grandpa tried to pay for it and my aunt told the waitress not to take his payment, which the waitress gave us her verbal agreement and promise. Despite this, she still took his payment the whole time we were telling her not to and disagreeing with her actions. She just smirked and kept continuing what she was doing. We wanted to treat our grandpa for a nice meal since he had just gotten out of the hospital after multiple recent admissions, so it is obvious why we would be frustrated with the whole encounter. We didn't agree with him paying for everyone. This really pissed off my aunt, which was notable to the waitress. She still kept smirking at us and didn't seem to care. Because of this instance, our family will probably never come here again, which is unfortunate because the food is not bad here.

It is located in the same strip shopping center as my family's favorite Chinese restaurant, Jade Garden. My Mom and I decided to check it out for lunch. We ordered fish fillet congee at $8.98. from the main menu and three dishes from the lunch menu. The lunch menu dishes were eggplant in garlic sauce, beef bitter melon, and fish fillet in basil sauce. Each dish was priced at $8.95. Each dish was smaller and cost a dollar more than Jade Garden. The meal tasted fine, but it was too heavy handed with the MSG for my liking. Table service was slow with only one person working in the front of the house. The cook had to come out to help with water refill and busing. My Mom wanted to return to try some other dishes, but not me. I am sticking with Jade Garden for my Chinese food craving.

This place was just okay. I ordered the vegetable dumplings and seafood buns. The dumplings were decent--the filling wasn't my favorite but they give you a LOT in an order, so it's great for sharing. The seafood buns were filled with a mostly pork mixture with a few shrimp. Honestly, the filling kind of smelled like canned cat food, which was a turn off, in addition to it being super dense and chewy. The bun dough itself was fine. I would have rather ordered the vegetable buns, but they were sold out of those.I also tried the pork and chive dumplings, and those had a pretty good filling. The scallion pancake was decent but a little too flakey and didn't have enough scallion flavor. I'd eat here again if I was in the area, but I prefer places closer to me by far.

First, I want to start off by saying the food at Bun's House is excellent. My family and I are frequent customers here. On our most recent, we ordered the shrimp rolls, sweet and sour pork ribs, sizzling egg tofu, and a seafood tofu pot. The food, as always, was excellent.Unfortunately, we came on a Friday night and it was obvious that they were pretty seriously short-staffed. While I empathize with it being a family-owned business, the entire restaurant was packed and the two people working the front (a waitress and the owners' son) were clearly overburdened by the amount of tables, takeout orders, etc. all happening simultaneously. It took a very long time for us to get someone to take our order as both people working were preoccupied with trying to turn tables and seat people waiting and helping customers pay their tab. This wait also applied to waiting for our food, which took more than 30 minutes for the first dish to arrive, and an additional 20 minutes for the last dish to arrive. The owners are very nice and are clearly doing their best, but this, unfortunately, has a negative impact on the customer experience. The restaurant itself is a nice, simple, family-owned place. It's well-maintained and very clean. However, the HVAC has maintenance issues. The restaurant was uncomfortably warm on our most recent visit, despite the AC being on full-blast. My husband was overheated to the point where he was dripping with sweat by the end of our meal. It was actually cooler outside than inside by the time we finished eating, and it was still a good 82 degrees outside when we left.Suffice it to stay, I still love Bun's House and will still be going back, but I really hope that they can improve their customer experience. As of today, I cannot, in good faith, recommend new customers go there without tempering their expectations.

I go here very often. All the food is really good and service is impeccable. Best dish by far is their hong siu tofu, way better than egg tofu. Its just the nature of the dishes though. Atmosphere is also very homey, which I thoroughly enjoy.
