Nowadays it's hard to believe that there was a time ten or so years ago when Ardmore was fairly devoid of good taco/burrito spots since now it's so oversaturated with them. It used to be that you could only find them at Chipotle and a deli, but now you can pretty much find them everywhere!Still, there aren't that many options that give that fine hole-in-the-wall neighborhood spot feel that you're able to find in city taquerias, and there are not too many where you can find a good traditional margarita or michelada. When it comes to both of those things Buena Vista is the best.Buena Vista has you drawn in right from its eclectic tables and chairs that are full on Spanish folk art. While there are a few Buena Vista's throughout PA, the Ardmore is one of two with a cantina bar that serves up margaritas, mojitos, micheladas, and then some at a reasonable price.The star of Buena Vista is absolutely the food, with the cream of crab soup and mole shrimp enchiladas being among my favorites. But they're fully stocked with delicious burritos, tacos, enchiladas, chimichangas, fajitas, alambre, and then some with all the fixings and trimmings!Toss is one of the better outdoor seating areas in Ardmore and spot-on service, and you have a great spot!

Do NOT go out with me and my sister for margaritas.... Unless you have bail money! Lol We wanted something quick for dinner that was close to her place and mine so we found this location in Ardmore(60/40 drive time). We pretty much parked in the "square" lot (under the bridge) and walked around the corner. It's spacious. Clean. Warm. Plenty of tequila to choose from and a fresh menu to choose from. We sat at the bar rather a booth. I do wish the chips were complimentary. I didn't notice the $7 upcharge untill the bill arrived. I would expect that from Rosa's up the street. Beyond that one hiccup, the order was hot. The parking was free. And my sister about fell out her chair after the mango margarita was done. We'll be back, but I'll just eat my chips in the car!

My fiancé and I came here on a Thursday to catch the tail end of happy hour, but we weren't very pleased with their selection of happy hour items.Regular margaritas are not on happy hour. Only frozen margaritas are on happy hour and it was a chilly day outside. Also, no food is on happy hour. The happy hour is basically frozen margaritas and Mexican beer, which is half off.We decided to order off the regular menu since the happy hour options were so limited. He ordered the birria taco platter and loved it. I ordered the hard taco platter and it was alright. I was hoping the ground beef would have more flavor. We ordered two regular margaritas for $11 each. I liked mine, but my fiancé said it was pretty weak. I like the ambiance and the music but the happy hour and ground beef tacos were a bit lackluster. The food is pretty pricey, but that could be inflation. We will return if we are really craving Mexican and are lazy, but I imagine we will try places that actually have tacos on happy hour. The service was great!

I enjoyed my visit but there were a couple of things they slacked on.Upon entering the restaurant there is a sign that says please wait to be seated, so while I waited which was about 4-5 minutes one of the staff serving tables dropped a few plates on the floor that was by the door. He was instructed to take us to our table and the same plates that fell on the floor were picked up and put on our table and I informed the man that I saw him pick those plates up off the floor and I did not want them.Shortly after sitting we were approached and asked for our drink order. Once our drinks arrived we placed an order for our food. The food was delivered in a timely manner but without utensils to eat with so we flagged someone down to get utensils.The food and our margaritas were delicious. The place draws a crowd which is a testament that people enjoy the food and I am one of them.

We came close to 3 pm on a Saturday. Service was relaxed, especially as there wasn't too many people dining at that time. They do make a pretty strong sangria. The chicken mole had a very nice balanced sauce which I enjoyed. The portions were large but I was still able to taste the fajitas which were nicely seasoned but was a little surprised to see ground beef instead of beef strips used plus it wasn't aesthetically pleasing as plated. The service was a bit sloppy as the fork fell off my plate when the plates were being cleared making a mess.

my husband and i love this place! we go there pretty often when we have a hankering for texmex. though parking can be a pain, service is always friendly. we've had ok meals and great meals but never a bad meal. GREAT FOR DATE NIGHT!

Oof.This is one of those restaurants that you REALLY wanted to be the underdog, and that you were rooting for (cue Tyra Banks, "we were ROOTING for you!").I came in on a rainy Monday, with a friend. The first thing I noticed was how adorable and colorful the place was. The second thing I noticed... how empty it was! I ordered a non alcoholic mojito. I was not missing the booze. It was GOOD! We also ordered guac and chips for the table, which was pretty good! The last good thing I can say, is that the bathrooms are really clean. Here's where it goes downhill and wtf for me....Sorry guys. I have to be honest, so you can fix these things.We ordered our food (I ordered a chicken quesadilla which is tech an appetizer.) For a place that was empty, our food took a LONG time to come out. I noticed that a bunch of people, who were there to pickup their takeout orders started to pile up too.Once we FINALLY got our food, I took one bite of the quesadilla, and honestly couldn't eat anymore. The cheese was obviously fake cheese. It tasted like those kraft singles cheese. The look of disappointment on my face, mixed with my stomach turning were in competition. I won't be back, but I hope that they can fix a few easy mistakes!

My partner and I had a miserable meal at this restaurant last night. I had the taco combo of ground beef and chicken which did not taste at all fresh ; refried beans and rice were dry and tasteless. my partner was given something that was way too hot - although he'd made it clear that he wanted very little spice. service was slow and rude, the waitress did not add the bill correctly and finally tossed a dollar at my partner in change until she was reminded that she still owed us more. All in all, A high priced , Poorlycooked meal with rude service. This is a local restaurant for us , but we will not return.
