BT Longhorn Steakhouse

We ate here after our Blue Bell Ice creamery tour.Group of 7all loved our food. I had the grilled pork medallions, salad and scalloped potatoes.

Food and service was great. Grilled shrimp with rice, beans and garlic bread. Nice country atmosphere with attentive service.

Recently, my wife, my sister and her fiancé had dinner at this establishment. We were promptly seated at a table but unfortunately, I found our table much too close to other tables. It was rather cramped. We all ordered beer and I had one that was locally crafted and had a hint of Citrus perhaps orange in it it was quite nice. I am on a low cholesterol diet. I opted for the grilled salmon, grilled asparagus and house salad. All other members of my party opted for the chicken, fried steak, cream, gravy, and assorted sides. I found my salad to be quite small, and lacking in both lettuce croutons, and I considered asking for an additional container of ranch dressing as the dressing that I receive was extremely watery; My salad only had two croutons. It was deplorable. Our entrées arrived before we were able to finish our salads. I guess they wanted to clear our table as it was a Friday night and they wanted to get more people into the restaurant. My fish, though flavorful was rather small portion of one strip of grilled salmon possibly 4 bites ; I guess the other members of the party enjoyed their chicken fried steaks and cream gravy, and Salt and pepper and all that stuff; our waiter was barely adequate and not much help in knowing the menu. We don't plan on making it a second trip although parking was not a problem, there was a lot of trash on the street and in garbage containers in front of the restaurant. Perhaps restaurant staff should take the initiative to make sure the garbage containers are cleaned out more regularly because obviously the city of Brenham is not doing an adequate job keeping the streets tidy.

Love the atmosphere. Real as in authentic old saloon bar with tables for dining. Probably 10 tables in each of the room. I like the shrimp brochette, husband likes the étouffée or grilled cat fish on dirty rice. Our friend tends to get the big hamburgers and fries. Save room for a slice of carrot cake (share).

Steak was cooking and seasoned amazingly. Oh my goodness, sooooo freaking good! Service was a little slow but it was extremely busy. Ordered the brûlée for mt birthday and it came out cold so that was awkward and sent it back. Well kept, but not very well managed. Manager was a little rude. Typical brenham though!

B.T. Longhorn has the best food, ambience, service& is family owned and operated. The owner was a chef at Pappadeaux's before owninghis own business and he & his staff know how to cook!!!I've been eating there for over 10 years & never have I been disappointed!!

Quality restaurants are slim in Brenham. The BT burger is hit and miss here. Bun is from a supplier in Houston and those are great. Meat is hit and miss on quality and taste. CF chicken is tender but zero flavor. Service - when a customer says we would like to order the meal with the drink order- you don't tell them to wait and go clean a table. We were short and time and wanted to place our order quickly. The cleaning products they use for the tables smell like fabuloso. Horrible smell.

We needed food after visiting the Blue Bell Ice Creamery and this place looked promising.When I entered I felt like I was back in the old west at a fancy saloon.I ordered a bowl of gumbo and a salad.The salad was crisp and cold. The vinaigrette dressing was sweet and tangy. The seafood gumbo was full of seafood and had a very pleasant flavor.Parking might be difficult and you may have to walk a few blocks before finding a space.The waitstaff was pleasant and the food arrived quickly. We were a group of seven and they had a table big enough for eight.A pleasant lunch was had by everyone.

We loved this restaurant but unfortunately today was a big different story....For my wife birthday I decided to bring her to this restaurant as she love it, well bad decision as when we arrived we were rudely welcome by the manager who had concerned about my wife sevice dog, she said he is too big ( a lab) so she asked for the service dog card after she realized it was a real service dog she had us to go through the toilet and go in a very isolated area..... She made us feel terrible and definitely not good for a birthday lunch.

Awesome food and prices. GREAT service and food - I highly recommend the chicken fried chicken- it is outstanding!
