Brunch Problems

This place lives up to its name!! PROBLEMS. We waited over and hour and a half to get our food. When it came out, it wasn't great. The server said there was one cook in the back....on a SATURDAY. I'm not sure if staff called out or if the place is generally understaffed, but it wasn't a good experience. We won't be returning. Also to note, multiple tables left because of the service and long wait for food.

We came during the week and had our pick of seats. Brittany was our sever and she was lovely, perfect service. Our food came out fairly quick but wasn't great. My catfish was bomb but the grits were the worst I've ever had. They weren't seasoned which was fine because I added my own but that still didn't help. They were oily and just not good. I ate them because I was really hungry but didn't enjoy them. I also had a side of potatoes that tasted old they remade, but then they were greasy. My friend enjoyed her food, but her friend shared my opinion. She also had the fish and grits but her fish wasn't cooked thoroughly. She also got an order of lamb chops that she couldn't eat because they were heavily salted. They were playing good music which was a vibe but I certainly won't be back.

Omg sooooo many problems, brunch being the biggest! 1/2 of the menu is unavailable! No wine, no beer, no dessert. Smells like a dirty nightclub. They don't answer the phone when you call. They used stale cookies on the strawberry explosion waffle. The waffles were cold. The French toast was cold and tasted like cardboard. They only offer an entire bottle of Mrs buttersworth for their "maple" syrup, and the container is gross and sticky. At least warm it and deliver in a ramekin for better presentation. Tables were sticky. Salt and pepper shakers were sticky. Staff were all standing around talking when we arrived to an empty restaurant. They could've easily been cleaning the sticky stuff at least ‍ The staff are very nice and apologetic, but failed to offer to fix anything. I kinda felt bad for them. This was an embarrassing visit for me, as I brought 8 co-workers here for brunch and only 2 of them ate their food. Card processing fee was included in the bill, but no line item listing the percentage. (Staff have no idea what the percentage is). Sounds like management needs to step it up yikes.

Well this was a nice little turnup SundayFunday brunch! We came here to brunch on a spontaneous weekend in Phoenix and this place delivered all the vibes we needed. The food was delicious, the dj was on point and the service was attentive for a busy and booked Sunday brunch. Definitely look forward to coming back!

This is definitely not a family friendly restaurant, but if you're looking for a good time with your friends where you can get good food and dance, this is the place to be. Definitely day party vibes. The food tasted really good. No one in my party had any complaints about it and some of us are hard to please. The service was just okay. The servers are young and not very friendly, but they got everything right, so I have to give them credit there. Because the food was so good, I would definitely go back regardless of the lack of customer service.

Daughter wanted to try this place and so happy we did! Sunday Brunch, is a limited menu. Daughter got chicken and waffles I went with chicken wings comes with 2 sides got mac n cheese and greens The wings are so flavorful cooked perfectly, mac n cheese was good but the greens were soo good I got them to share with my daughter but I ate most of them. Waffles were delicious a sweet vanilla flavor. Sercice was super quick. This is a must try spot.Our server was amazing checked on us a few times and definitely deserved his tip. Ambiance is sports bar-ish but good vibes.

I don't ever leave reviews because it's a waste of time. And I could be doing better things right now. I was really disappointed in a black owned business that has no integrity in what they do. I am traveling for sports and had the privilege to have a meal after weigh in. I waited 1 hour for eggs and toast . Weird because my other people got FRIED CHICKEN 20 min before I got my food . Then our server had the audacity to ask if we were drunk or hungover because we were getting tired of waiting over 45 min for breakfast. Also added gratuity to the bill as of the menu doesn't state only a sorry of 6+ . Food wasn't great at all. French toast was okay .

$22.50 for Chicken & Waffles. Really! Here's my overall experience. Waitress double talking. We all know 4 triangles of a waffle is one Belgian waffle. The waffles seems like a mix. If it's not, their scratch mix is wack. These waffles are doughy and undercooked. The wings were decently cooked. They were thick and crunchy but they seasoned it with some sort of garlic lemon pepper seasoning afterward that was ok, but why?I can't believe they serve such inferior bacon. It tastes like onsale Bar-S. The music is cool but loud. Yogi Bear could have done better job scratching and mixing. The hostess and waitresses are pretty fly. That's a reason to come back. YES!For these prices, a plate is ridiculous higher for mediocre experience. Apparently, they depend and the music vibe and sexy waitresses to bring business in. Well if that's how you want to run your business. Overall experience thumbs down

Pros:Food was great. I had the fried chicken club and home fries and my friend had the French toast. Both were cooked to perfection.Service was great.Cons:The music needs to be lowered from dance club to brunch club decibels. You can't hear what your friends are saying.Coffee machine was broke. Have a back up plan. Whether it's getting a French Press or pour over brewer for emergencies or even running to Starbucks for a party box coffee to go.Tea options - slim pickings. If you serve breakfast - have tea on hand. English or Irish breakfast, Earl Grey, and Darjeeling. Have a kettle ready to go to get the water hot enough. Fix the little things and you will have a 5 star restaurant.

I had brunch at this restaurant this part Sunday. The only meal options were the Soul Food Brunch. We were informed the typical breakfast sides ( scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage etc) are not served after 11. Even though they are still listed on the menu. They didn't have salmon croquettes but magically had fried salmon. The menu lists a Chicken Benny option but I was informed they can't poach eggs so this dish is served with scrambled eggs. Even though scrambled eggs can't be ordered as a side. The potato salad tasted store brought, the greens were extremely salty, and the waffles were cold and doughy. The items that were tasty were the shrimp and grits, chicken wings and the fried salmon. The waitress was very nice but we had to flag her down to check on our order and refill drinks. We were dismayed to discover they offer hookah even though it is not reflected on the menu nor website. Having hookah smoke swirling while trying to eat was unpleasant. This place seems more like a lounge/club with food than a brunch spot. The DJ was very good and the best part of the experience.
