I came here just to experience using an automat. You order the food from the screen. Make sure you pay attention to the display on top right where it shows the status of your order. When your order is ready, you scan the QR code from the receipt or from the text that is sent to your phone at the designated locker. I had problems scanning my receipt so I used my phone. Korean bbq dumplings are not bad. Nice Philly-themed murals. There's no interaction with the staff

It's an Amazon Locker-style "dumpling" spot, so it feels odd to really rave about or put it down or give it too much thought. It is what it is. Pros:+ Even though there's a wall separating you from the staff, I peaked my head in to see what was going on and the woman working was very sweet and helpful.+ The peanut sauce is very good.+ Open until 2am on weekends for your late night snacking needs. + Super easy order ahead process for those who want to walk in, scan a code, and be on their way.+ Leaning into the Philly love with their graphics and murals.Cons:+ Unfortunately most of the items we ordered (KBBQ dumplings, peanut noodles, soup) fell flat. The dumplings lacked flavor, the peanut noodles lacked substance, and the soup would really only be great if you're sick and need some heat in your sinuses.+ The impersonal vibes are not for me. I would much prefer to support real people and have the service experience when I stop by. Essentially, going somewhere a bit more delicious where I can also say hi to a human and engage in that way.+ We ordered at the kiosk since this was a last minute decision and the food still took about 15-20 minutes to be ready.I don't think I'll be back but glad to have at least SOME kind of fast casual food option open late on South Street.

We came here shortly after it opened and I was excited. There were few people in the joint when we showed. The food feels lightly uninspired. I didn't find anything where I was like "wow that's unique." Or "that sounds really good." I tried nearly everything on the menu. The flavors were a bit weird. With every dish I got close to liking it and there was something that would throw me off whether it be texture, flavor, or combination. The upstairs is cute but feels empty and out of place. There's not enough room for the ordering near the front door and nearly nowhere to stand and wait.

I got to check out the Brooklyn Dumpling Shop and had a good lunch to go. I ordered on a kiosk for a combo with a korean bbq burger, korean bbq beef dumplings, and waffle fries along with an order of pork potstickers. The burger was a bit messy sat sideways in the box but the flavor of everything was solid. Not quite korean flavor in my opinion but still decent. The service was quick and the place was clean. Definitely a good place to check out.

Honest Review- I was super excited for this one, and maybe my high hopes were the reason for the lack of stars, but keep reading to understand. 1. The concept is amazing ! Place an order on the kiosk, pay with your phone or credit card. 2. Watch your name appear on the screen, admire the graffiti 3. Name appears on screen as ready to be picked up. Scan QR code 4. Watch the windows open and carry your food to your table to enjoy 5. Get disappointed with the dumplings. One expects dumplings to be either steamed or lightly pan fried. Not deep fried, nearly all the dumplings tried, happened to be or seem to be deep fried, we tried the sampler which had kung pao chicken, bulgogi beef and gyro flavors. The dumplings were so over cooked and over flavored that we couldn't differentiate between the beef and chicken. Gyro dumplings were still okay. We also tried a bowl with chicken and brown rice which was okay. The peanut noodles were down right depressing. Like you would expect something on the lines of Dan Dan noodles, but these were so sweet, less savory. Not sure why the hype. The space is cool with upstairs and unique merchandise, but food could be better.

We came here the second day they were open. Pretty good experience. You order from a kiosk and then pick your food up from a heated box. The food we ordered was delicious. The chicken bites with the garlic noodles was sooo good. We ordered a few different kinds of dumplings but I don't remember what they were. All in all this is a fairly decent place with good food. They do have seating upstairs with chargers in the tabletop.

Food was subpar. The dumplings were okay but the broth that they were in tasted like a can of Campbell's chicken noodle soup. The service took about 15-20 mins. The murals on the wall were cool, the second floor dining area was also nice.

The place looks really cool and nice. I was pretty excited to try this place but food is decent. The dumpling in broth tasted kind of a mix of spices and flavors that were just throw together. The peanut noodles were okay, but with the peanut sauce, I felt it needs a kick to it to balance the creaminess. The dumplings were pretty good! The Reuben was okay and probably my least favorite of the three. The kung pao was pretty good. I enjoyed the Korean bbq beef though. That one was good!
