I have been here a few times for breakfast tacos and they are excellent! The flour tortillas appear to be handmade. I also think they make the salsa given the taste. They give a good portion and will customize tacos for a small price. I had a sausage, egg and potato and a bacon, egg and potato taco on more than one occasion. I really can't decide which one was better since they were both very good. The atmosphere of the place is like a diner's, with most of the patrons being older men sitting in booths and drinking coffee. I got my tacos to go. Service was fast and professional. Very courteous wait staff and the host remembered me from the day before. From the outside, it looks like a house, and the sign is down on the ground, so it is easy to miss when going down Highway 6. We treated visiting relatives to their tacos and they loved them as well. I keep forgetting to take a picture of the tacos because they are just that good.

I'm always craving Mexican food. I am a New Yorker who is now living in Texas, but as a California native, I simply have to have my Mexican food at least once a week (sometimes it's up to 4 times a week; don't judge me). We were headed out of Missouri city and headed towards Galveston on Highway 6 and stumbled upon this place. Boy are we glad that we did! I absolutely adore small mom and pop shops such as this. We were immediately greeted and sat at comfortable table. Our server brought us the customary basket of chips and a cup of house made salsa. I will admit that when I initially judge Mexican restaurants, I always start my opinion based on the quality of the chips and salsa. I believe that if it is a true and authentic Mexican restaurant, they will have great fresh and homemade chips and salsa. That's just our first step. If the chips and salsa seem store-bought or they are just not good, the restaurant is typically not going to be an authentic and good quality Mexican restaurant experience. This was NOT the case here. We could immediately tell that the salsa was made in house, but what makes it even better is that we could tell that the chips were also made in house. Upon tasting them, they were delicious. I always sit back in my chair and smile when I have a good bite of housemaid chips and salsa that satisfies what my snobby chips and salsa expectations are. Here, the chips and salsa were absolutely delicious. I Judged and wholeheartedly excepted them, but I tried not to eat too much so that I didn't fill up so I could save room for my actual entrée order. That was hard to do here because the chips and salsa alone were JUST THAT ADDICTING!For our entrées, we ordered the tacos trio (with ground beef) and the taco and enchilada combo. They both came with their house made rice and a choice of beans (we opted for Charro beans for one of them and refried beans for the other). They were good... actually, they were REALLY GOOD! But the star of the show were the enchiladas. Or rather the sauce on the enchiladas. ABSOLUTELY TO DIE FOR!!! WE WERE IN MEXICAN FOOD HEAVEN! And the sweet lady that brought out the food was just the icing on the cake.I would honestly highly recommend this place if you happen to be driving down highway 6 because the food was EXCELLENT and the service took it to the next level. I think I will add this to my list of stops when I am making this trek again. Why the four stars instead of five??? We'll, that is simply because my all time favorite foods are crunchy shell tacos (I seriously eat them for breakfast), but here, on this day, they were outshined by the other foods. They were not bad at all (I want to make sure that is clear), but their other food was so spectacular that they outshined the tacos. If I would have gotten tacos on their own and not tasted the other menu items, I would have been VERY SATISFIED WITH JUST TACOS.TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT... Should you stop here? YES!Is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY YES!Is it authentically Mexican? Well... The answer to that is up to you. Are you a Cali-Mex person? Are you a Tex-Mex person? Could you possibly be in Arizona-Mex person???Come and judge it for yourself. All I can say is that the food is very good, the customer service is very good and this place is definitely worth a try.

We live really close to Brisa's and have ordered breakfast tacos from them a couple of times. I'll preface that my husband and I are from San Antonio and were practically raised on breakfast tacos, so our expectations are pretty high. The first time we had these tacos they were solid, but didn't seem like anything to write home about. I got potato, egg, and bean. The tortillas were fresh and medium sized, there was sufficient filling in the tacos, and the salsa rojo was a tasty addition. I personally didn't like the salsa verde because it was more on the sweet side rather than spicy. The second time we visited we both got a carne guisada taco in addition to our usuals and WOW! Possibly the best carne guisada tacos we've ever had. We've talked about them multiple times since and hope to visit again soon to enjoy them for a second time! I also haven't yet visited them for lunch, but their lunch plates look like really authentic Tex-Mex, so I look forward to trying them.

Great place and not expensive. I have been ordering a TO GO order for our Bible study group consisting of 18 people for the past three years and everyone just raves about their food. I always order their cheese, chicken and beef enchiladas with the poblano white sauce , guacamole without jalapeños and sour cream. The person I order from always gives me exactly what I order and lots of chips and salsa are included with your order. This is a great deal and their food is delicious. The place itself is very small and not the best ambiance. The employees are very kind and helpful. They take AMEX too.
