Brick & Brew

This restaurant was recommended by a coworker who lives in Havertown. She spoke highly about the drinks, and she wasn't wrong. The menu had something for everyone in our four person party, drink wise and food wise.My coworker told me that the building used to be a bank, but they've definitely augmented the space and made it their own.

As usual, I have nothing but amazing things to say about brick and brew! Came in just as happy hour. Was about to end and order ed, one of their seasonal sunset drip drinks which tasted pretty tropical and just the right amount of spice. I also ordered the 4th of July special fromage Burger, featuring aged beef, caramelized, onions and mushrooms. What I love the most is that the fragrance and taste of the caramelized onions and mushrooms were very strong but did not overpower the aged taste of the burger. This was probably one of the best burgers I've had in quite some time. I hope they keep this on the menu but from what I read it's only going to be on it till about July 9th which is sad but I'm glad I caught it. Lol

The atmosphere was really cute and fun. The outside spaces flowed nicely into the inside seating. The pineapple sour mocktail was tasty juice and fun to sip. The fried pickles were very thin, almost like pickle shavings so the pickle flavor didn't really carry through. The fried chicken sandwich had good crunch but was ultimately a little on the bland side. I think if the pickles were thicker, they may have been able to lend more flavor.

Stopped by recently to check out the bigger place on Eagle Rd on a rainy Saturday evening. High ceilings and much more seating. We tried a couple specials, apps and one of their pizzas. The grilled octopus tostadas were a shy overdone - chimichurri or jam couldn't save it. The Chicago Beef didn't resemble short rib much and had toppings that overpowered the beef. The fries were the best part of the sandwich. The Fig, Walnut and Feta pizza we ordered seemed to be missing Fig, walnuts and Feta?? I guess if it was called Arugula, strawberry and balsamic - it might not sell as much. On the positive, the Oven fired wings were very good. The cauliflower bites were ok. Our server, Kate, was excellent most of the evening. Now that BnB has three locations, I fear they may have lost some of their personal touch. I will come back - because I know when you shoot for the stars, sometimes, you miss.

I really like this place because they always have a vegan item on the menu, and they let you modify salads etc. to take out meat or cheese. The rooftop in the summertime is beautiful. The history behind the building is really fascinating. On the walk upstairs you pass the old safe, as this was a very old bank.

This place served us bad food and although we complained, it wasn't corrected. Also, the service was extremely slow so I couldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The food was delicious ! I loved the atmosphere . My dad and and I enjoyed our lunch!

Food was so good but service was not ideal. We were there almost two hours and kept getting ignored at the bar. People around us were getting served and we weren't. Took almost two hours to get an app, an entree and a dessert. Water took 30 min to get and we were never asked for a refill. Super cool decor and ambiance. But took forever for everything so probably won't come back.

We were there to see Keli Vale and Nick Bucci perform. We were taken to the roof, which was a really lovely area. We didn't know what to expect of the food and decided to try the summer flatbread and hummus platter. The summer flatbread was a wonderful surprise. Something that could be bland was very well done. All the veggies were seasoned and the aoili was really tasty. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious, and Keli and Nick were stellar as usual. It was worth the trip!

The service caused the round up to a 4.Had dinner here on a Wednesday night as a walk in around 5:15. Seated for two right away, server brought our menus and our drinks came out quick.My son got the Watermelon Fizz mocktail. Tasty and he loved the mint sprigs with the Watermelon crispness. I got a white wine and that didn't bring anything to the table.Food came out fast-my pulled pork came w the juices from the pork, which I appreciate but didn't add much flavor to the sandwich. The mango was meant to offset the salty pork and there just wasn't enough mango to meat. And feta cheese? If it was meaning to combine unusual flavors this was an odd one that kind of missed the mark. My son's chicken sandwich was a solid 2.75 outta 5. Its crispiness factor left a lot to be desired.Our sides: the fries were fresh cut, so they seemed to have too much moisture when they'd been fried. And my Caesar salad had thin sliced Brussels sprouts. Interesting add. Maybe it was a way to give that pungent taste that was missing from the bland dressing?Staff was super friendly and seemed to do well with the kids crowd. Service was lightening quick but not overly checking in. The table next to us had to children and they were given equally good service.
