Branding Iron Barbeque Hamburger

I've passed this place day after day and finally decided to stop. You walk up to the window place your order and you can take it to go or eat within the outdoor seating area. The prices are reasonable and it's CASH ONLY. I ordered a single burger with fries and it was delicious. I'm a huge fan of old fashioned burger joint and this did not disappoint. I will be visiting again in the near future.

This is my review of The Branding Iron in response to Belly G & Vicky V's 1 star reviews...First Vicky... Frozen onion rings and out of a menu item constitutes a 1 star rating? Next is Belly, Who graces the pages of yelp with her "War and Peace-esque" review of not a white linen, posh, downtown restaurant, but a mom and pop burger joint in the middle of Hempstead highway's industrial park. Ridiculous.At first glance you might miss it, it's not a glamorous building, maybe it needs a coat of paint, maybe nicer picnic tables, or maybe the parking lot could be paved, but none of that has anything to do with the wonderful food and amazing hospitality of the husband and wife that run it. I'm not going to bark about how great "I" think the food is, go down and try it for yourself. I will tell you though, a 1 star it is NOT.

Great little spot, support small business. Friendly service, each order made fresh. Open for breakfast at 6AM. Free smile with every order- something you don't get at big chains.

Great mom and pop place for a good old fashioned hamburger. This is a great little hole in the wall with great prices. And the owner was very nice. Lunch time gets hectic so give her a break! We got two hamburger manager specials and an order of onion rings for $13.86! There was so much fries, I could not finish them and fries are my thing! Give it a try!

Second trip to a true 'hole in the wall' on Hempstead Rd. near intersection with Campbell Rd. Had Teriyaki Beef today, quite good with an ample serving and plenty of fried rice, plus small salad on the side and fries if wanted. Had a very good cheeseburger earlier this week with fries & onion rings.Asian couple run the place, and though place doesn't look like much food is good, outdoor picnic tables under awning are the dining area. Burgers, Seafood, Asian/Chinese, and other items, did not see any bar-b-que items listed. Prices are moderate; Cash Only, with all menu and pricing listed.Try it out, it's worth the trip.

The other days I was on the Metro 45 on Hempstead I spotted this place and knew I had to check it out...especially when I saw how long it had been since a Yelp Review of the joint.For a person who does not drive the Metro 45 goes right to it with a stop at Campbell rd.Don't let the look of the place, and the rundown parking, scare you off...The menu is large and varied, including separate breakfast sandwich and burger specials...and some higher prices than when last reviewed.I love the wooden picnic benches for outdoor dining.The $7 Cheeseburger Special and the Chicken Burger were tasty.The place is still cash only, so be sure to double check your change, when given back, because the nice lady running the place appears to have math issues. :-DAs an added bonus, for the curious, the Fairbanks Cemetery (since 1897) is around the corner on Stonington.

Horrible. Stopped here after reading the sign clearly reads "BBQ". Come to find out they don't have any fucking bbq... Great. Upon getting here, there's a sign that says no card, CASH only. What type of stupid antiquated archaic bullshit place is this? Square is literally inexpensive to open. Fuck.... What an inconvenience. Don't EVER go here.

Great little stop. Had the $9 cheeseburger deal, cburger, fries and a lemonade. Everything was fresh and hot. Tasted great! Diverse menu from burgers to fish and rice items. It is cash only so plan accordingly. Will be back! Oh did I say lemonade, great flavor and a nice change from all the sodas. Enjoy the picnic tables and watch the world go by as well.

Everyone who doesn't know.. you go for the teriyaki combo w/ the fresh lemonade, grew up eating branding iron since I was a little kid. It's a family tradition to come here Same couple been working together over 20 plus years , protect our small businesses. Much love
