This is a hidden gem. Amazing 7 course tasting menu for $155. They give you so much food. Most tasting menus I need a slice of pizza after The front bar is very loud so try to get seating in the back. Pretty dark inside so great for a romantic date. Service was very knowledgeable and quick. A bit on the stiff side though. 1)Scallop crudo pluot dashi- fresh scallop with good refreshing flavor 4/52)lobster Newburg with poached egg 5/5 so much flavor and lobster was very tender. While on the pricier side of dining, it's a wonderful place with great food and very professional staff. Had the French onion soup today along with the escargot, and they were both flavorful and delicious.In terms of atmosphere, it's one of the best in Boston. The dining room has a upscale feel that's classy and very inviting. Great to hold gatherings or even plan a date night. Their cheese boards are impressive and highly recommend the bread rolls they serve with dinner. While some of the food can be a bit salty, and the bread could have more of a rustic european quality to it, every dish I've tried is great. They also have the most impressive winebook I've ever seen. Last but not least, the bar area is modern and chic, with a bunch of great cocktails. They also play vinyls in the evening which is pretty neat to listen to.

We enjoyed a last minute dinner at Troquet in the middle of the week and it was just what we needed. Made a last minute rez on Open Table and when we arrived, we were sat right away. When we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised how the restaurant was separated. The front of the restaurant housed the bar area, which was very lively. We were seated in the back of the restaurant where we enjoyed a nice quiet dinner. The service was fast and efficient. We ordered drinks straightaway and shortly after that, we received unexpected butter service with the most delicious dinner rolls I have ever had. Dinner was yummy. For appetizers, we ordered a delicious grilled cesar salad, and ¨chips and dip.¨My hubby ordered halibut and I ordered the chicken. We also ordered potatoes. Next time we will try other entrees but hope for the same amazing bread and butter service!

A wonderful restaurant to enjoy a special occasion or slightly casual dinner at. -Atmosphere-The atmosphere is reminiscent of a warm French bistro on a chilly fall/winter night with an extensive selection of wines to help get the evening going. -Food-The food was fantastic when we were there; the grilled duck was cooked perfectly with a wonderfully smoky char and was seasoned beautifully, the scallop was tender with good sear followed by a savory sauce, and the bread rolls were exquisite (a delicate crust on the outside and a yeasted subtly sweet and fluffy interior with a great chew that is reminiscent of a Japanese style Hokkaido milk roll)! -Service-The service was good, though the timing on some of our dishes was a little off (nothing to complain about, just wanted to note).Additional Notes:-Our Chef 5 Course had 7 dishes-The 5 Course doesn't include a wine pairing-Photos included are raw (unedited)

Kind of an old fashioned, European vibe with thick banquettes and white tablecloths. Saturday night in summer, and the place was empty - we were literally the only table filled in the dining room. They said "it's quiet during the summer." Still, the vibe is a bit "old" and the menu is solid but probably also a bit stale. A lot of this place feel like "been there, done that," without the fun atmosphere of say Aquitaine not too far away. The food itself was solid, and very tasty - but I didn't feel passion from the kitchen. The duck was very tasty, and the pork chops - two, actually - were brined and possessed a "ham-like" flavor; not bad at all. Although I could only eat one of the chops, I enjoyed the flavor with a nice glass of burgundy. Oysters were perfectly shucked and fresh (from Maine). Cheese course for dessert is highly recommended. Overall, the food is above average, but the whole vibe is a generation too late. The same cooks are employed in all of the area restaurants, and the previous days of a real chef-driven restaurant I think has passed us in many ways. A good, maybe very good, but not incredible experience.
