I grew up in Wakefield, which has added some nice restaurants over the years, in spite of their close proximity to Boston. Parking here is interesting if you're new--don't waste $ in the MBTA spaces because there is a lot located on the adjacent one way (inconveniently going the wrong way) Armory Street. There are 2 electric vehicle charging stations as well. Eleven of us gathered to celebrate a birthday. Our server, Marcus, was awesome. He made suggestions, jokes, and provided excellent service. As a long commute was in store for me, I wasn't imbibing. I asked about mocktails. Marcus asked "what I felt like". All I said was something fruity and tropical and he came back with a delicious concoction resembling a coconutty Creamsicle. We ordered many seafood items, a Chicken Milanese, and I ordered the halibut special. Entrees are on the pricier side (Wakefield still isn't Boston) but the quality makes you turn a blind eye. I wanted to try the fried oysters appetizer from the specials, but I feared I'd have no room for dessert. Our birthday girl received a flourless chocolate cake with raspberry sauce and celebratory candle. We shared the cannoli trios and a tiramisu. Many friends enjoyed espresso and pistachio martinis, but I had a cappuccino that was a little disappointing--foam was naked of any cocoa powder or coffee art, and where was the customary biscotti on the saucer? IMHO, my lowly coffee warranted at least as much attention as the martinis! Chocolate cake was amazing, cannoli filling was fresh and creamy, and while I didn't get any coffee flavor from the tiramisu, the mascarpone flavor was rich and delicious. The birthday dessert was comped, which was a nice touch. Everyone enjoyed the evening--

The ambiance at this place is awesome. It's fancy without being overly fancy - great for a nice date, family time, cocktails with the gals, etc. The service was excellent, water refills/plate clean up ready to rock. I got a mezcal honey drink to start that was delish, and table came with focaccia bread. We got some oysters to kickoff din which were chefs kiss ($1 from 4-5pm) and for main course I got the salmon dish with fregola, succotash, fennel purée. This was the only disappointing point of the night - my main course was BLAND. It was a very basic, plain Jane salmon and the fregola (similar to couscous) actually upset my stomach. I had fomo of everyone else's dish, including a shockingly large octopus appetizer dish. Would like to give it another go because it was a great spot just a bummer meal!

I have been here a couple times over the past few months and both times I feel it's just ok. The dollar oysters the run daily from 4-5 is an amazing deal and to be honest it's a big reason we head there. the octopus special was good as well as their seafood in general. Their Italian food falls short in my opinion, very bland and mediocre at best. Much prefer their sister restaurant Preza in the north end for Italian! It's excellent. All that being said we will be back for the dollar oysters.

Date night with the wife. Sat outside and it was a lovely setting. Apps were nice. Meatballs and octopus, really nice. Entrees were really good too. Cippino and orechetti both good. Service was spot on. Really solid Italian food. And a nice setting. Definitely our new spot for Italian

We went to Tonno Wakefield located on 175 North Ave, Wakefield, MA. This spot offers a great selection of classic Italian dishes and even a little happy hour from 4-5pm during the week. For appetizers we had the arancini balls and burrata. The arancini balls are abborio rice balls that are deep fried. A classic italian appetizer! The Burrata is made of mozzarella and was my personal favorite-it looked and tasted amazing! So many colors in this dish. For entrees we had the Tagliatelle Bolognese and the Veal Saltimbocca. The house made tagliatelle pasta contained veal, pork, beef, onion, carrot, fennel, and parmesan cheese. The Veal Saltimbocca was my personal favorite and contained toasted potato, broccoli rabe, crispy prosciutto, and a brown butter sage sauce. For dessert we had a chocolate cake with strawberry sauceFood: 7/10 Ambiance: 6/10 Affordability: 5/10

I have eaten at this restaurant three times. Each time has been great. The food is fantastic, I have definitely been satisfied each visit. I've also been happy with the service, the wait staff is very friendly and this includes the bartenders as well. My favorite has to be the ambience though, the inside is very well decorated. They did a great job with the theme of ocean and elegance. With regard to parking, there are spots available on the side streets, and they do have a small lot available on Armory. During my most recent visit, I enjoyed dinner. I did not get dessert although the table next to me ordered it and it looked fantastic. This place is definitely 5 stars.

We have only ever gotten take-out but their Bolognese is the best thing I've ever eaten, and I'm not normally a bolognese fan. My son loves their sauce and we always get the prosciutto appetizer.

Great place but not 2 person friendly. Went their inthe recomendation of friends. Walked in, wasimpressed by the ambiance all but 3 tables werefull. We were seated by the wall in a 2 person tablewith another wall beside us blocking any view of the restaurant, alsothe wall is only about 3 ft away from the table.Asked to move given another table two tablesdown but same 2 person table. At least wecould see the restaurant then suddenly the A/Ckicked in, directly above us was the vent and itblasted cold air We looked around a noticed all the2 person tables, in the main dining room are against a wall with the A/C vents right above them. So once again we went to the manager for a warmer table. This time we were led to a high top by the bar. When we were going there we noticed there were I think four tables all empty, So of course don't give us a decent table, the manager gave us the table right by the kitchen so we spent the entire meal with the wonderful clanging and noise from the kitchen. At the same time when I looked to my left where did they seat the next couple eating indoors, right at the first crappy table between the walls. Absolutely despicable. Can't tell you what the food was like because after that, there a complete distaste in my mouth but the price was that of the Capital grill or Abe a Louis without the quality or the service. At least the other restaurants had valet service. I am pretty sure if you come as more then 2 people you experience will be completely different.

Amazing service from Michelle! We had the Crab cake and Chicken Milanese and she brilliantly recommended the pumpkin pie martini, apple spice sangria and Autumn drinks alike. Truly an astounding server and I would recommend Tonno again and again as a go to in Wakefield Centre!

Visited June 2024. Ordered the mussels ... pretty standard, nothing special. The entree special was lobster scampi with prosciutto for $43. There was no lobster to speak of ... not even one whole bite ... tons of pasta in a very heavy oil bath ... disgusting! Waitress never returned to inquire about our meal. a most unpleasant experience! I almost never order dessert, but was starving so ordered the crème brûlée, which was decent but cold. Wont be back! cocktail was good, but expensive $17.
