Tom's Pizza & Sandwich Shop

An institution of Auburndale. Wide variety of food menu compared to regular pizza shops. Lots of healthy options as well. My personal favs are the chicken parm sub and Sicilian pizzas. The chicken parm calzone is also delicious. Don't sleep on thus place! Great location and a legend of the community.

Living in the same neighborhood as Tom's, this has become our go-to pizza joint, especially for takeout. We love their cheese and pepperoni pizza -- so much so that we haven't bothered to try any other toppings in the 3 months we've been going here. :)Last night we also ordered their chicken tenders and they came with a liquidy honey mustard and it was pretty good! I myself love a good dipping sauce so I was happy to see them come with something to dip into. The tenders themselves were amazing. They're huge, and our order also came with like 10+ pieces in the box. Tom's is not cheaping out by any means. We love to see it.

I'm embarrassed to say I have driven by hundreds of times and never stopped in, but I finally came to my senses an hour ago and stopped when I saw the neon "hot slices" sign in the window.I got one slice of cheese and one chicken/broccoli, they were delicious and exactly what I needed. They have a small display of Peggy Lawton cookies and brownies in front of the register, I love the old-school choices!Next time I will try a sub, or maybe a sub and bring a whole pizza home!

Who in their right mind is eating this place 3.5 stars? I moved to Newton from Brighton in 2021. This is literally the only food place that serves good quality food consistently. I've been to the fancy places around town. I've been to the other sub shops. This is literally the best spot in town. Calzones are good. Pizza is good. Sandwiches are good. Wraps are good. My wife and I come back time and time again. Are they perfect? No. They could use a few more options on the menu but it's great quality food. I'd probably give them 4.5 stars if it were an option but it sure as heck as better than 3.5. Even better than 4.0. If you like any food in Newton, I bet this foot beats it. I wouldn't put the wings on Buffs level. But everything else is better. And buffs is a staple in this area.

This pizza shop is underrated!!! One of the best in the Boston area. I love the owners as they take great pride in their customers and quality of food. Love this place.

TLDR: your favorite neighborhood placeReally haven't had anything bad from this place. I've done salads, sandwiches, pizza, calzones and they're all delicious. Love that there's something this solid in the Auburndale area.

Ordered an Italian sub on my way to work. First time going in. It was the best Italian sub I've ever had since moving here from upstate New York. Service was very quick as well

Great local pizza shop. Little town shops are also great to walk around nearby while waiting for food pickup.

The chicken is absolutely delicious!!! We picked this place to meet strictly because of its location to the train. We forgot to take pictures but all of our sandwiches and a bowl were incredible.

Been a Tom's fan for a long time but since moving away wasn't sure it would be the same. Well it has not changed I'm glad to say. We only ordered pizza but we were so happy with the pizza. It was a perfectly cooked, crispy crust, just the right amount of cheese and pepperoni. Consistency means a lot and we were so happy with it. The stag was friendly and accommodating. We had take out but the shop was clean with several booths if you want to eat in. Thanks Toms!!
