The Salty Pig is a great time with friends! The Salty Pig is a restaurant in the Back Bay where you can get fresh and excellent Pizza and a delicious Charcuterie. Two of my favorite foods. We sat outside with some friends on a Saturday afternoon to be swarmed with bees from the honey on our charcuterie. So we had to move inside instead. They have a great wine and cocktail menu. I had their Lambrusco to start and my friends ordered a Rose and a white wine from Italy. We also shared a bunch of apps from Polpette to their Gem Salad. I ordered their Margherita Pizza and shared this with my husband. It was good but I felt that it could've been cooked a little bit more. We like our pizzas crispy! My friends had their Fusilli dish (and some other menu items) which looked amazing and they said it was excellent. We ordered a bottle of their popular Vietti Nebbiolo for the table to share. Service was also very attentive to what our needs were and I appreciated this. Our server Jade was great! It was a great night and we walked to Eataly for dessert! Ciao!

We decided to try this place based on its 4.3-star rating and appealing food photos, but our experience didn't quite match the hype. While the food wasn't terrible, it fell short of our expectations set by the reviews. On the plus side, our server was fantastic--super nice and accommodating. She made sure we ordered enough for our large group and offered great alternatives when some items were unavailable, given our late arrival. However, the food was a letdown. We ordered three pastas, all of which were undercooked and still hard. The sauces also didn't impress. The pizza was somewhat better--generously topped and quite tasty. Our main issue with it was the crust, which was too hard and a bit burnt. I've had thicker crusts that weren't as tough or charred, so it felt like an oversight.Overall, the food was decent but didn't live up to the nearly 5-star rating. The service was excellent, but the food didn't quite make the grade.

Would return, the overall vibe is on the casual side, shareable food, and overall good quality. Essentially you create your own charcuterie board to share with the table. It's a fun active spot that's good for friend groups, or dates that don't want anything too stuffy. Selection felt decently well curated from local farms. If you're familiar with New England cheese makers you'll recognize a few names for sure. The most common being Jasper Hill probably. The wine selection was overall fairly fun, but nothing too complex or nerdy. It's a wine list that keeps a light note. You aren't ordering DRC here, you're ordering some fun bubbles for the table or a light rose. Would return, great for a date or group outing.

Great outdoor seating, smells delicious. So many good things on the menu to choose! The burrata cheese starter was delicious, more so than I expected. The team of servers were quick and honest with their suggestions. I wish we had bigger stomachs to try one of each on the menu.We ordered the Salty Pig pizza and asked for the mustard sauce only on half. The waitress came back after talking to the cook and he said it was the sauce of the pizza and he suggested changing to tomato based instead. Glad they caught our misunderstanding that the mustard was just a topping :)The pizza was cooked perfectly and just as delicious as the appetizer.Conveniently located right outside the mall, definitely worth a stop after a day of shopping!

A casual place for some good food. I typically don't get charcuterie boards at restaurants, but the salty pig board was great, and they'll refill the bread. The pizzas are personal size, and is definitely enough/more than enough for one person. I got the funghi pizza and it was my favorite. The salty pig pizza was also good. I would recommend The G.O.A.T cocktail as it was light and refreshing. They have indoor and outdoor seating on their patio. Parking in the back bay is difficult, and there are several parking garages nearby. It's walkable from the T stop (metro). Service was good, checked in often and food came out in a timely manner.

Delicious!!!! We mentioned we wanted to split the pasta and they gave it to us in separated plates which was wonderfully convenient :)The pizza was awesome, we added on sausages to ours for extra meat (it was $4 unfortunately). Overall a very yummy meal, thanks again Salty Pig!

Very comfortable restaurant. Sit outside with a glass of wine and chill. The little bib salad was super fresh and totally yummy! The charcuterie board was awesome as well. We ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza which was very flavorful. I was a little disappointed with the margarita pizza because typically margarita pizzas have fresh mozzarella and basil. Still yummy but not the best. Great service and relaxing patio dining. Nice place for a tasty meal! @YelpBoston

I've been here a few times over the past few years and honestly The Salty Pig never disappoints! The last time I came was with a large party and we were seated relatively quickly with a reservation. Despite it being a weekday evening, the place was still pretty busy and packed up until closing. It was noisy, but not overly so which was good for conversation. Decor was also super nice and things felt relatively clean. We were serviced fast and our waiter was super friendly and nice. They were out of a few options we wanted sadly, but the menu has a good selection of dishes so it wasn't too bad picking alternatives. Food came out pretty fast as well and they were decently diligent at refilling waters. The food never misses honestly - we got two boards and a few pizzas to share; we ended up leaving very stuffed at the end. I would recommend their pizzas above all else, their boards were good too but a bit pricier and I didn't find the value as good. Their drinks are also very solid. Overall, I typically recommend this spot for folks looking for a meal in the Backbay area. Good selection of entrees, apps, and just a great spot vibe wise as well. Thanks, Salty Pig!

Love the name of this place! And really love the food. We had The Salty Pig pizza and the Burrata. Pizza was warm and crisp and delicious, full of flavor. Burrata was killer good, highly recommend and I'll be back even for just that. Service was fine, we waited a bit longer than was necessary considering how busy it seemed, but the servers were all friendly and professional. It's not exactly quiet, but very easy to converse.
