The Halal Guys

Didn't even know there was a location at South Bay but very welcome as parking is MUCH easier than downtown.Always liked halal guys ever since our many trips to NYC 53rd and 6th days.Usually one plate is enough for me to eat 2 meals which is great! Extra white sauce, couple dribbles of hot sauce mix and enjoy.Usually get the tomatoes, onions, green peppers and jalapeños. I personally would probably stick to the beef only for my taste. Nice flavoring easy protein. The chicken at times could be a bit dry or bland. Decided to try the bbq spicy chicken this time but got mostly sweet and sour taste no kick. You can choose to have salad mixed with the combo and it comes with naan pieces i think haha All in all, great for a quick pop in, service was stellar, staff was super nice and promptly got what you wanted/needed.Will be back

We got our order, chicken with rice, to go. You order at the counter and go down the line and add the toppings. Our base for the bowl was rice and chicken. As "sides", we got the lettuce, chopped onion, green peppers, and tomatoes. You also get four tiny pieces of pita. We asked for ample of white sauce and some tahini. Overall, it was a very tasty bowl and held up well for a couple of hours until dinner time. The portions were enough to be divided for two people, if you're not super hungry!

I was super excited when they announced that they're opening a location in South Bay. This location is like 5 minutes away from where I live lolSuper friendly staff at this location. Matter fact, I don't recall a time that I was dissatisfied with Halal Guys lol been enjoying their food since day 1 when I had it in New York. TIP - add green peppers and onions (free!). You'll thank me later

I first ordered take out and most recently went in for pick up.My observations is that this location isn't very high traffic, so the meat isn't fresh off the roaster like if you get it in NYC. For example, I went in at 7:30pm and the roasters were empty and clean, just pre-cooked meat in the trays waiting to be served. It's still good, but not nearly as hot and fresh as NYC. However, they seem to have more toppings than at the NYC food carts, which I admittedly haven't been to in a few years. That being said, the platters have generous portions and it's a pretty good deal.

TLDR: Tastes like Halal Guys You know it. You love it. It's Halal Guys. Get some extra white sauce but be careful cuz that red sauce is actually hot. New place looks fresh and staff were friendly and efficient. I love eating Halal Guys and this place tastes like one.

Great food always! The chicken is juicy and full of flavor, also is the beef. Halal guys always grace us with its clean and themed restaurant (good ambiance). The only note for this branch is that the workers aren't that friendly, and didn't answer my questions when I try to ask them about something.Nonetheless, Halal Guys is always my go-to food Price ranges from $9 to $20

The hubs and I met our son for lunch today in South Bay and really loved this place. The restaurant is a cute little self service place with very friendly staff. We got there early and the staff were so friendly and welcoming while we waited. My husband and I got the falafel platter and it was so good! Think of this place like a cafeteria restaurant. You order your food and make as many customizations as you want. Some items cost extra, some are included. The falafel was hot and crisp. The platter came with four falafel-not that you can tell by the picture! We couldn't wait to eat but I wasn't leaving without taking a picture. My son's beef gyro was stuffed with beef gyro meat. He got lettuce tomatoes and jalapeños and he said it was delicious. I highly recommend the white sauce! It's like a thin version of tsasiki without chunks of cucumber, but was good on everything. They even keep a bottle in a refrigerator in the seating area so you can add more if you like! If you head to South Bay and want a great fast casual head here-you won't be disappointed!!!

Surprisingly, it was so-so; fresh, good enough, but a bit bland; perhaps that could be compensated for w/more sauce, but I got take-out. Also, it took a bit to complete my order, but give it a pass for that as it was not too long after opening, and 1 of the staff was a trainee.

Went around 5pm on a weekend and the place was not too busy. Service was quick and workers were friendly. Go to order is the beef gyro and chicken platter with onions and sauces on the side(the hot/red sauce is a lil on the spicier side so start with a little bit and add more as needed) . A little hard to find parking right out front but the South Bay parking lot isn't too far of a walk.

The food is great . Well seasoned. And fresh . The service is fast and polite . And the place is clean. I have eaten there 5 -6 times. And counting.
