I took my date to this place and it was our first experience at the daily catch. Small restaurant, chef cooks in front of you. Amazing smell. Foood was too good that I spent over the budget. We ordered three dishes in the end and we finished them all. I suggest you go during weekday around 12:30 where the line is short

Hands down one of my favorite places to eat. A very hole in the wall type of place with a huge line outside at all times. You are only allowed to order once and this is a CASH ONLY establishment. The food is delicious and the server is amazing. Lobster pasta was spicy but not too much. Aglio Ogio was so good and I was so tempted to order it to go but it wasn't possible. I don't know how he does everything alone and keeps up with the people outside as well. Huge props to him and the chef/steward for the all the work that they do. I tried the daily catch waterfront location and definitely prefer this location.

CASH ONLY! The space is small and it's open in the sense that you can see into the kitchen because there's no wall. They have maybe 6 tables total? So if it's busy, you might have to wait in line outside. There's no room for a stroller (which we found out because we had one lol) but they let us keep it right outside the restaurant under the open window for us to see - nothing was taken. A group of 4 shared:Aglio olio squid ink pasta (half $19.50): ground calamari, sauteed with EVOO and garlic. Topped with romano cheese and parsley. The ground calamari was interesting, I've never had something like that before. It had a nice saltiness that I enjoyed and the pasta itself was goodAlfredo squid ink pasta with shrimp (half $19.50 + shrimp $10): heavy cream reduction, butter and romano cheese. Just standard - nothing amazing or bad to say about this dishVongole Neapolitan ($32): pasta with clams in their white sauce (fresh garlic, EVOO, fresh clam juice, and parsley). Probably my favorite - the sauce was light, flavorful and delicious! And they gave us a good portion of clams as well I like that some of the pastas came in the pan it was cooked in. Everything tasted fresh and the wait wasn't too long either. I would skip the wine (all previously opened bottles).

Tiny little eatery, but worth sharing a table with another couple. Cash only, so be aware, but I think for the quality, fairly priced. Located in the North End or Little Italy area, after a walking tour we did, we stopped by here. We shared a bit pot of mixed seafood (lobster, crab, calamari, shrimp, oysters, and clams) in a yummy tomato sauce ( it wasn't spicy although they call it Fra Diavolo), a salad and French fries... delicious!

Waited for 40 minutes before 6pm on a weekday. Clams were good- lots of clams, and great ratio compared to breading, which is rare. Would definitely order that.Honestly, lobster pasta may be a skip. I'd try once maybe but I'd rather just have lobster on its own and pasta on its own. Huge portion. We can eat and this might be the first place in a while we didn't finish all the food. Red sauce was ok.

Loved this place when I came in summer 2021! Returned in Fall 2023 and it was delicious but not as outstanding as I remember. Always love the Aglio Olio though and will probably return for that dish whenever I'm back in Boston. Also just love the vibe of being served pasta in a skillet Cash only, I think!

This was the best seafood I ever had. I had the puttanesca and it was delicious. There is only about five tables in the restaurant. It's worth the wait in line. Everything was fresh. The restaurant was cash only.

The guru still in Boston looking for local fare. I got a tip to try this place. It is the rare Italian restaurant that offers squid ink or as they call it black pasta. Do keep in mind that it's a subtle flavor that adds a little something extra to plain ordinary pasta. Keep in mind they do have other delicious pasta options but the squid ink pasta is their specialty. They also have some wonderful fish options. They have shrimp, scallops and octopus and of course squid. All of them definitely worth having. Personally I went with the black pasta puttanesca with scallops. It looks a little weird when you see it and it does look on the oily side but there's enough veggies to soak up all that. I have to admit it was quite tasty and the scallops were perfectly cooked.A couple of things to keep in mind. First and foremost this is a very tiny place so you need to come early so that you don't have to wait long for a table. Forget about a large party. Anything more than 4 they simply won't seat you. Also have some cash on you because it is strictly cash only. But not to worry because on top of everything this place is actually reasonably priced. Also after dinner you can treat yourself to a nice dessert by going across the street to Mikes for a cannoli or a slice of boston cream pie. This is a true hidden gem of Boston. Thank you Boston for keeping a wonderfully unique place like this in business. I would also like to give a special shout out to my dinner companion. Since I came by myself I shared a table with someone else who was also there by themselves and we had a nice time sharing a table together.

The lobster noodle portion is large, it takes three people to finish it, the seats are a little small, and the feeling of sharing a table with others is not very good
