Love The JugThe Brown Jug is an old favorite in Chelsea Ma and it's new location is excellent! I love thin crust pizza that's crispy with plenty of cheese and sauce. It's a round pizza but because it's hand made, the circle isn't always perfect but the taste always is! Love its new location and the pizza is as great as I remember!Great bar drinks, staff is very nice. Very clean and professionally run! I highly recommend !Thanks

First things first. The waitress was great and very pleasant. Now for the bad. I'd gone with my spouse after they had been raving about how delicious the pizza was our whole trip. So we go, we get a simple cheese pizza, some parmesan fries, and the worst decision the fried cinnamon dough.The pizza, meh. It had an odd taste to it. The sauce and the cheese just didn't go together. The fries were so so, a good size portion but just average. The fried dough however was inedible. I was expecting more of a funnel cake type consistency based on the menu and it was just hard shells of dough with minimal spices on it. Total waste of money.Needless to say I've no plans to go back.

I'm so sorry to write this addendum only a year after my last review, however I was so disappointed with my recent visit to the Brown Jug (been going here since the old/original location) and suffice to say they have done something with the recipe to the plain cheese pizza. On this visit the cheese tasted claggy and weird. There was still 'flavor' and the crust seemed thinner and crispy - but they have shifted something in the basic recipe that made for an unpleasant experience. The waitress was great, same family/sporty atmosphere. Also got the parmesan fries that tasted like those big industrial bags of frozen fries. Lastely the fried cinnamon dough bites were an almost inedible consistency - these were truly horrible.I've never been disappointed at the Brown Jog. New cook, new manager? I'm unsure - but I will probably not stop back on my next trip to town. It makes me a little sad to be honest as this place has been a long staple.

The food is good! We got wings, pizza and had the Mac n cheese bites. I like the vibes of the restaurant they seem more family-like! Which I LOVE. The server was lovely and they even made sure to confirm our order before making it as we had a special request for half red half white sauce!

Ordered take out with a few friends who have come from here before. The food had sat for about 10 minutes before we started eating so it cooled down quite substantially. We ordered the fried pickles, fried cheese ravioli, sweet chili and Buffalo wings plus a gluten free margarita pizza. This was plenty only for three people. Having had limited experience with fried pickles I enjoyed them as they held their structure even being cooled down. The fried ravioli were exactly how you'd expect and not really anything special. We were originally going to get the mozzarella sticks but they ran out a month ago and haven't gotten a shipment since. The Buffalo wings were light in flavor as they were almost dry since the sauce was so light. I liked the sweet chili wings but then again those are my typical go-to. They were a moderate size and relatively moist on the inside. The margarita pizza had a lot of cheese on it with a passable gluten free crust for regular bread. Overall, standard experience and wouldn't mind ordering again or trying another local establishment.

My husband and I went there for lunch yesterday and it was my first time. The food was really good and the service was excellent! The restaurant was very clean but very old school. I would definitely recommend the fried string beans and pizza!

First time I ordered I ordered a salad a couple days ago half way esting it there's a fruit fly in it. Today I called again for a pic up order I ordered garlic French fries and I got salted fries instead. I called and complaint about the fries but to be ask to go in again to get another order is crazy order should of been right the first time. The lady did say to go in the next day to pick up a another order of fries but how I feel now won't be ordering from here again. 2 times can't let it happen the 3rd time to be wasting my money.

Looking around it was pretty cool, it reminded me of a bar. The booths aren't that comfy and when I pressed the wall it made a creaking sound. The service was good, our server was nice and checked up on us. I got the seasoned fries and a half cheese half pepperoni pizza. The seasoned fries were great it it had a lot of flavor. The pizza wasn't good and tasted like cardboard and hurt my stomach been on the toilet ever since
