This is such a cute tapas place in Melrose. Perfect for a casual night or a date night. They have a pretty impressive bar and wine list. This was my second time at T'ahpas. Their menu is exactly what you would find in Barcelona. This time I was dining alone on a Wednesday night so I took a seat at the bar. I got the patatas bravas (classic), sirloin steak, and a queso board. The potato's were hot and crispy. The steak was amazing, smothered in garlic, perfect touch of cream. The cheese board was bigger than expected but hey I'm not complaining. The staff is also super nice. Definitely will be back!

A really cute tapas spot in Melrose! I used to love coming here however, I feel like it's gone downhill sadly. I feel like prices have gone way up for okay-ish quality of tapas. Still better priced than some of the spots in Boston. I feel like the flavors of the tapas here start to blend similarly, however I wish they stuck with serving more traditional Spanish tapas. We had their pasta daily special and their Thai ribs - both just okay. We love the corn and patatas bravas!

I was excited to try this tapas place from the Yelp reviews but ended up disappointed with the food quality at this place. The chicken empanadas were crispy on the outside (which I love!) but the shredded chicken tasted a bit off. I can't describe it exactly but it reminded me of chicken that had been cooked for a while and then refried in not so fresh oil. Neither of us could eat it. The Brussels sprouts and Spanish tortilla were ok. Nothing to write home about. The staff was very nice and friendly. I may consider returning another day to see if my experience was just a fluke

I was excited to try this place and have tapas locally without having to go into Boston but it didn't compare to Dali or Toro. We ordered the bacon wrapped dates, croquetas, patatas bravas, and garlic shrimp. Everything except the potatoes came out super fast and were lukewarm so they weren't made to order or even reheated right. Every other time I've ordered gambas de ajillo it came in a sizzling dish with a ton of garlic and red pepper flakes but this came in a regular dish, not garlicky enough, and not salty enough.

Yo, yum! T'AHPAS 529 is a cute lil' gem nestled in the quaint Melrose Highlands neighborhood. The restaurant serves crazy delicious Spanish & Mediterranean tapas that always make me say 'muy bueno!' bite after bite.Their brussels sprouts are crispy perfection - a total must order. The chicken empanadas?!?! Don't even get me started...the shells are golden, crispy & flaky - and the poultry found inside is daggone delicious, you guys. I would eat those empanadas for 48 days straight if that was an acceptable thing to do. (Someone please tell me that it is!)Their staff is so attentive & friendly - I want to send them holiday cards now.Their cocktail menu is divine & they change it seasonally. Their gin-based summer drinks are delightful. Gulp.Be sure to get wild & finish your meal off with the churros--like I did! Perfectly fried & rolled in sugar, these doughy little treats are worth a few extra calories. YOLO, right? The ambience is fun & casual. My only *minor* critique is that their chairs aren't SUPER comfy. That said, neither are the ones at my kitchen table. So...YOLO again, I suppose.Have a great time here, OK? Try so many things! Share with friends! Create memories!

Made an online reservations for weekend lunch; was surprised that it was quite empty upon arrival.Usually an indoor diner but preferred outside in the after-effects of a pandemic; appreciate that it was available (reason we chose this place to begin with). Entered restaurant in the front and was told to loop around the block to the parking space-turned patio. Odd but ok.Interior decor is very nice; makes you feel like you're in a tapas-eating country. Only small inconvenience is that one has to loop around the block again from the outdoor area to the front of restaurant in order to use the restroom. Food:- the whiskey in Old Fashion is very smooth, my friend highly recommended it and it didn't disappoint. - Patata Bravas was ON POINT -- soooo good! - Burrata was not quite oozy as expected, but the plate was great overall with the flavor combo. - the waffle in the Chicken & Waffle a bit too soggy, but appreciate the savory flavors. - Churrasquisto would be the biggest letdown in the meal by comparison -- it was simply too well-done for quality beef, even at medium. Maybe it's a cultural difference in cuisines, but please don't do beef medium and up. If this beef really is Wagyu, then all I can say is that I'm sorry the cow sacrificed its life to become this. *sad face* Despite the hiccups, it was a fantastic meal overall.Service:- attentive and adequate- wait staff friendly and courteous- looks like they want to be there so it's a great plus. Price tag:- $130 for two people's brunch, but take away the 4 drinks (LOL) it'll bring you to $60-70 tab, which is a fair price rangeWould definitely be back if I'm in the area again.

Super tasty tapas and a great drink list- what more could you ask for? From what I can remember (we ordered a ton) we loved the chicken wings, brussel sprouts, shishito peppers and these little cheesy ham things. I can't wait to come back!

Been here a bunch of times, past Thurs 9/26 will probably be farewell. Food quality and accuracy is WAY off from what it used to be. 3 pillars to a successful dining experience - envirionment, service, food - all 3 suffered. Early table, place was empty, inapprorpirately chosen music was playing way too loud - really bad idea in a suburban restaraunt (hint, it's not a night club for kids, don't treat it like one).Service - our server was pleasant, alas didn't really listen as we told her we wanted to enjoy the wine and figure out what to order. Again, mostly empty dining room (and bar), she returned 2minutes later. After taking the food order and a 2nd glass of wine, she was not to be seen for a long time (once again - barely 20% capacity and plenty of staff). This is a basic service training issue. Food - completely disappointing - gambas al ajillo (classic shrimp tapa) - 5 of the smallest shrimp imaginable (and no accompanying bread); brussels sprouts were charred to raw, bacon was nice, but the 'sweet' in the 'sweet & sour' was like a syrup bath; chicken empanadas were ghosts of their previous selves - no flavor, dry, and appeared to be a pasta dough deep fried (since when?); mushroom strudel ("A creamy medley of mushrooms wrapped in crispy tunisian pastry, served w/ arugula alioli"). Apparently an eggroll wrapper is now 'crispy tunisian pastry', and 'creamy' means potato puree with a whisper of mushroom. Come on - your food used to be the shining star of a great location and good vibes. I wish you the best in fixing it, good luck.

We used to love this place, but it's gone way downhill. The waitress we had on a slow Wednesday night was untrained, inexperienced and disinterested. She had no idea what type of rums the bar offers and then proceeded to charge us $15 for a Bacardi and coke! The food quality was horrible. The beef short ribs were so tough that you couldn't eat it. The vegetables weren't cooked. We sent it back and the waitress delivered the bill after that without asking if we wanted anything else. She never cleared the plates or refilled water. Very obvious there was no manager or owner on duty! I will never go back! For over $100 I would rather go to elsewhere!
