Very disappointed. I decided to take a chance and order a Chicken Parm. When they presented it to me the provolone cheese was not melted on top of the sub. Instead it has been jammed into the side and had probably not received any heat whatsoever. This is the type of job I would have done 20 years ago when I worked the college late night shift.-1 starWhen I asked them to melt the cheese again they added more marinara for some reason.-1 starWhen I asked them to put it back in the oven, the got all huffy and said it was "too late". They then grudgingly did not put it in the oven but for an unexplained reason put it on the grill.-1 starBy the time I received it I was so annoyed and felt that I wasted 11 dollars. I'm going to give them another chance though.

OMG. This place rocks on so many levels. Totally a mom and pop/family place that does not disappoint. First off, you've got to love that the patriarch of the place was playing around and saying hi to the two young kids that were brought in by some mother. A plus with that neighborhood vibe.The lady taking my order was super nice and asked if I wanted something else besides what comes on the large steak bomb I ordered. Didn't even consider add anything. I asked for some hot peppers which is so lacking at sub shops in Los Angeles.And now for the food! Sooooo good. Cheesy, full of mushrooms and peppers and grilled onions. And the bread is a soft and thin and doesn't make a sub taste like all bread at some places. The steak and all the ingredients were wolfed down. No way was there leftovers even though I could have. The only thing better is if they were opening a Rondo's in LA. Here's to another reason to visit family in Boston during the holidays. Can't wait. Pastrami, Meatball, Italian...etc awaits.PS: Almost forgot, the "Pops" of this place was joking around with me when he was told by the lady I ordered from that I paid, but couldn't help making a joking comment that I didn't pay him when he gave me the scrumptious steak bomb.

Love this place. Nothing but wonderful things to say and an absolute staple in south Boston. Great food, great people.

Bourdain never steers me wrong, even after all these years. Rondo's is the defintion of a mom and pop shop, with the charm, atmosphere, service, and prices to match. I got a large steak bomb for 12 bucks and split it with my guy. It was plenty of food for us both. The sub is made fresh right there and the flavor is out of this world. I highly recommend Rondo's for your steak and cheese cravings!

Hidden gem in southie right down the street from Broadway T redline station. Fast, friendly service. A local favorite but also very busy lunch crowd from Transportation workers to construction workers to Police officers. Steak and Cheese sub is a crowd favorite. Can't gobwrong with any Parm subs no matter what protein you choose. Meatball and sausage was my choice. Reasonable price, big portions, you do not want to miss this.

Best in the business by far. The steak and cheese was incredible. Had it on a wrap and they usually don't serve it like that but did it for us.

I went here to get a steak and cheese sub. The sub was pretty good. They give you a nice amount of meat and a nice amount of cheese. The service was excellent and pretty fast. I would eat here again and definitely recommend trying this place out.

Savory steak studded with flavorful peppers and gobs of melted provolone, all swaddled in an airy roll just thick enough to keep the contents under control. Great homestyle atmosphere and quick service with fantastic offerings.
