Tiny, charming, little shop in the heart of Davis square. We came in on a Friday evening without having to wait. It was quite cold outside at the time and space is limited and we naively took the big table by the door. Which doesn't close all the way on its own. Oof.The lady there was kind enough to close it shut when folks came in and out but there was only one of her to do everything. We ordered golden bags, a pork belly over rice dish and a crispy chicken pad Thai. The taste was very on point for each of them, the golden bags were fried with fresh oil, you could tell, and a small bite carries a ton of flavor. The pork over rice was to die for. The flavors in this were some of the best Thai I've ever had. Bit of tangy, lots of basil, and plenty of kick, I'll be dreaming of this one for awhile. The chicken pad Thai was great, but nothing too outstanding. This place is at most a 4, I've had better Thai food nearby (Rod Dee anyone?) for half the price. Don't get me wrong this place is delicious, but not 20$/dish delicious.tldr; small cute place that has overpriced but delicious Thai food

I love my thai food, and Prik Nam Pla is one of my favorite thai spots for their flavor variety, spice, and presentation Prik Nam Pla recently just opened in Somerville, MA right next to Davis Square so this is definitely a spot to try if you're looking for a new thai food spot in Boston‼They recently expanded their menu and we got to try their ginger rice with deep fried pork. When I tell you this ginger rice is the best I've ever had you really just need to try it for yourself! I'm definitely going back to try their ginger rice dish with chicken next time

This was my first time at Prik Nam Pla. The nearby shops shuffled quite a bit during the pandemic but I'm glad to see there's another little Thai place here after Kor Tor Mor closed.I stopped in for a quick lunch. It's a cute place with a few small tables and one that will fit a party of four -- but don't come with a crowd. Service is quick and friendly. I got one of the $13 lunch specials, tofu red curry with gyoza (knowingly not gluten free). It came in a industrial lunch platter that was a nice presentation even if the portions were smaller. The curry had a decent amount of tofu and some other veggies, although I wish there was more. It was flavorful and spicy for someone who can tolerate a mild amount but who doesn't eat a lot of spice (for comparison it seems hotter than Cha Yen in Watertown, another more authentic Thai place). The gyoza was deep fried and fine.I would come again to try something else if u needed a quick hot lunch in Davis. But if you want to be full, get a full sized portion.

Little Thai joint at the edge of Davis Square towards the Tufts side, in the space previously occupied by Kor Tor Mor. A couple tables and a counter with stools. Mostly takeout but they do table service, with very minimal service (you'll need to ask for anything you need; they won't ask).Spicy Wings: Crunchy, moist but not fully juicy, just spicy enough, and more sweet than spicy. Temperature-wise, the hottest wings I've ever had: even after a few minutes of photo taking and taking the time to eat all six wings singlehandedly, still piping hot and painful to hold. Nice balance of flavors, though mostly sweet chili. Based on flavor and texture, a solid effort.Chicken Kapow: My barometer dish for Thai food cleared the hurdles flavorwise, with a good blend of dark flavors (oyster sauce and such), herbal flavors (basil), heat (chiles), and accompanying vegetables (string bean). Volumewise, a little light, with most of the bowl being the white rice. Not a huge deal, but noticeable. Pad Thai: My wife got this with tofu. Wet and sweet. If you like your Pad Thai wet and sweet, this is for you. If not, it's not.Definitely enough promise to go back, looking to try the Khao Soi, which they bill as their signature item. Glad to have this place around, especially with DakZen changing up their service model. Hoping to up this to 4 stars on the next visit.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Sat at a sunny window table. The kapow was spicy and flavorful, crispy lightly cooked vegetables. Enough for leftovers the next day. Coconut juice with slices of young coconut meat. Sweet & refreshing on a hot summer day. Highly recommend!

This tiny Thai spot in Davis offers dine-in for groups of 1-4 (at the very most) and runs a very busy takeout counter. It's a solid option for lunch or dinner if you're in the area. Service is fast and polite and prices are similar for Cambridge/Boston.The lunch special (Tue-Friday from 1130am-3pm) is a particularly good deal, offering a choice of 8 different entrees with a side (gyoza, chive cake, or crab rangoon), for $13. I found it pretty filling for one person and took home part of my entree. We've sampled a few of their dishes, and particularly like the "veggie dumpling" appetizer (it's a fried chive cake with a mochi-like consistency, absolutely delicious), the kapow (quite spicy, but so flavorful), and the pad thai (standard American styled pad thai). Would return to try more items.

Such a cute ambiance despite having limited seating - it set a delightful tone. Overall, the food was pretty good, and the service was quick and efficient. The Thai tea leaned towards the sweeter side. The Golden Bag featured a crispy egg sheet that was enjoyable. Otherwise, this appetizer wasn't exciting. The Khao Soi Chicken had a creamy consistency, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The soup base had a subtle kick, which I appreciated. The Khao Soi Nua was decent. It resembled typical Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, so I'm not entirely sure if that's what was to be expected. My favorite dish was the Drunken Noodles with Shrimp. It had a satisfying level of spiciness. The shrimp were large and flavorful.

A new to me Thai food shop in Davis Square. Since I don't live nearby I decided to give them a try via delivery. I ordered the Khao Moo Tod which is ginger rice with crispy pork and comes with a sweet and sour sauce. Everything came fresh and the crispy pork was delicious. Definitely plan on trying out more of their dishes in the future.

Rude staff and terrible food! I ordered the crispy pork noodle and it had little pork and low quality meat ( majority of the meat is fat which makes it too greasy). The noodle was really greasy and hard to swallow. The water they served me has some black substance(maybe dust?). I had a horrible experience and didn't want to tip much bc all the server did was gave me some water and the food. The server told me "not to come again if I don't tip enough" and tried to force to make me pay. Jeeze? When did tipping become mandatory?? I had little service and terrible food. Don't come here it's a total waste of money. It's gross behavior to try to beg ppl money that you don't deserve.
