My partner and I got the fried plantain sliders w griot (roasted pork), jerk caramelized pineapple burger, and roasted mustard chicken -TASTE: 5/5 - highlights included the sliders w its comforting plantains, sweet pork, and slaw; burger w its well-seasoned patty, jerk spices, sweet pineapple, and garlic-heavy fries; and the chicken's black rice (riz donjon). Thought the chicken could've been more flavorful thoughTEXTURE: 4/5 - the sliders were super satisfying w its tender plantain base and crunchy slaw. Also enjoyed the thick-cut fries and chicken's crisp skin. Presentation was on point for all of the dishesPRICE: 3/5 - the sliders were expensive at $19, so subtotal was $72. A steep lunch for usSERVING SIZE: 4/5 - good portions. We left satisfied SERVICE: 3/5 - we walked in at 12:30pm on a Saturday and were the only party seated. It was noticeably slow to get our menus and, later, the bill - maybe it's meant to be a more leisurely, relaxed experience? I have been longing for a true, sit down Caribbean restaurant that I could take others to and experience a taste of our culture, without the rushed, slapped together pressure if takeout. This may be it.I went there yesterday for a family member's birthday dinner. The server was kind enough to bring her a special treat of cheesecake at no additional charge. The layout is comfortable and airy and faces right out into Dedham Center.The menu is a delightful fusion of Caribbean cuisines with American favorites. I would have liked to have given it five stars, but I wished the menu had just a few more items to round it out a bit (perhaps another chicken entree and a few more appetizers that are meaty).The pricing matches well with that of the Legal Seafood empire, but with the assurance that your dollar is going to a young business making a name in the local community.I will definitely be back.

Great spot in Dedham, great vibes, good music, and hands down some of the best drinks around. I love the fish bowl drink. The ribs were pretty tender (kind of fall off the bone but a little tougher than I like) still great and the sauce is delicious. The salmon was cooked great, the black rice is one of the highlights here. The atmosphere is great for a date night or hanging out either some friends watching a game. I would say the vibe is kind of casual mixed with business casual. I guess it depends on the night. The good thing is you can pretty much get a table on Fridays or Saturdays

We were in the area and so we stopped here for lunch. WOW!! Although it took some time to get our order, it was well worth the wait. I had the Black Stir Fried Rice while my husband had the Rasta Pasta. The spice level on that pasta dish was perfect! The service was good.

The fusion Burger was so good!! and the Haitian Zombie looked pretty and it was yummy!! Our waitress Johanna was really nice too!!

Very tasty food, though their name makes me think they're some kind of sushi place instead of a Haitian-fusion spot. We got delivery via ChowNow, and each of the 3 items were fresh, flavorful, and balanced. You could put the sauce from the shrimp entree on a shoe and it'd be delicious, and I was glad the dish came with rice to sop every last drop up. The chicken and black rice were perfectly seasoned, and the tostone "sliders" with pork (more like a tostone tostada) were unique and excellent. The portions were just right- I cleaned my plate and felt just-quite-full. Not particularly cheap though, although you're paying for quality. Note the delivery prices are higher than the in-house menu, so be sure you're looking at the right thing.

I've known about this restaurant, but had no idea it was conveniently located in downtown Dedham and was such an interesting and wide space. The curb appeal was nice and the atmosphere is good for a variety of dining experiences: Family, Date night, Girls Night, Celebrations, etc. There is an ample bar and lounge area. We went during the day, but I could see the appeal at night.The menu featured classic Haitian dishes and some that seem like fusion cuisine. I was disappointed to see that the crab cake was removed from the menu, but the seared scallops were a great alternative.My family loved the BBQ wings as well, but the star of the show was the amazing crispy and flavorful garlic fries!!! SOOOOOO delicious.Great restaurant and very kind and professional staff. Prices were a bit off putting for lunch time (Entrees $20 -40+).

I can NOT say enough about this amazing hidden gem. First, LOCATION great! Right in Dedham Center with the free parking lot across the street(also plenty of street parking if you're lucky enough to catch a spot right in front of the business. Went on a Saturday night and there was a DJ. They have tables along the walls and lounging areas near the DJ booth and in the back of the establishment. Very welcoming. Greeter was on their job. It seems they prefer a reservation but definitely welcome walk-ins. The wait staff greets you immediately and lets you know the special right away. Great attention to detail and the wait staff doesn't hover while you have a mouth full of deliciousness!! I look forward to visiting again and always recommend it to friends and family

The food was great, creative and flavorful. A great value. The waiter was friendly and helpful with our choices.
