"Another strip mall standout. Does not look like anything special from the outside, but had a fantastic experience here all around. Cocktails, food and service were incredible. They had a fresh swordfish special that sounded amazing, but I went with the haddock and so glad I did. It was perfectly cooked and served with a delicious creamy olive sauce. Deviled eggs were topped with pastrami and sriracha. Yum.The house sangria was white and the special cocktail was a blood orange margarita. The dessert list wasn't that appealing, but they did have some fun and fancy dessert cocktail choices."
"I've lived pretty close to City Slicker for many years but have only stopped in a handful of times. It always seems pretty empty in here but I guess they do a solid takeout/delivery business. Recently I had the "city girl" pizza with portobello mushrooms, caramelized onions, and gorgonzola cheese. Great combination! Definitely on the salty and greasy side but I'm not complaining. The cheese blend and sauce are good. The pizzas are "pan pizza" style, so they look and taste a little different from your typical pizza. The crust is crispy rather than chewy and they cook it to golden brown, but you can request a lighter bake if you want. They also offer many other options like sandwiches, pasta, and salads. Overall, City Slicker is not necessarily what I'd go for every time I'm craving pizza--Leone's is still my favorite pizza in Somerville--but definitely a good option to throw into the rotation!"

This place has huge oysters. So sweet and not salty. I will be returning for this deal every week. The short rib egg rolls were also awesome. Not greasy and so flavorful. I was really impressed. I will certainly try more things here but the oysters have won me over. This hands down might be the best spot for happy hour. The only problem is how close to my gym it is. Haha."
"There's almost always a 20 to 45 minute wait here for brunch or lunch it seems. Now they have the cafe next door, which doubles as a lovely waiting room. Great addition! The teas were fantastic - we got the pistachio and turmeric tea. The food was great for the most part. Love the fusion of middle eastern and other flavors. Definitely unique in the area. My only constructive feedback: The donut holes were a bit too dense and doughy - would have enjoyed them if they were smaller. The brisket in the panini was too salty. The place was packed. It got incredibly loud at one point but calmed down after a while. Service was very good - no complaints there. Parking is easy - I'm usually able to find a spot in the lot."
"I really love the view from Pier 6 the food was exceptionally good and fresh in the upstairs dining. There is a roof deck, but I recommend that people make reservationsbeforehand. There's also a bar downstairs alfresco. There's a lot of families, dates, neighbors, groups of people in this location as a fun festive laid-back environment. I enjoyed my oysters, tuna tartare, beet salad, halibut tacos. The mussels are to die for! Service was very friendly highly recommend."
"A sleek, intimate semi upscale space with a large bar counter and a view of the Wharf. Nice! This restaurant was located just across the street from the Renaissance Hotel so it was super convenient for brunch. The brunch menu was awesome, offered something for everyone and it had a "sea" theme. Makes sense. For the land lovers, plenty of bacon/chicken proteins and salad options too. I found this place on Yelp and through my Google search so thanks everyone! The brunch was very generous in portions and the coffee was really good. I think I had two cups too many. My lobster Benedict, not what it's called but that's what it resembled, was delicious. Poached eggs and that Hollandaise sauce was the big finish. My kiddo ordered the breakfast Tacos and that did not disappoint. Don't tell me how many calories I ate, don't matter, it was worth it. Ha haCheck out my photos, nuff said. It's a must try. Reservations suggested only because it doesn't have a large dining room. But if you don't mind eating at the bar, then you're fine. Speaking of which, full bar and beautifully laid out. Too bad I couldn't partake. It was too early... Needed sustenance first. I didn't have a reservation but luckily I was there right at noon on a Saturday so it was fine. Then it got busy as we were dining."
"Great dark wood but big ceilinged airy space with surprisingly good food. Had dinner with 3 friends we split the calamari and I had the steak and blue salad and paper plane cocktail.Cocktail was a really well done version. The calamari was good with 3 sauces and good spiced peppers but was a disappointingly small portion even for 1 person never mind 3.The steak and blue salad was exceptional - with perfectly cooked rare steak, blue cheese, greens, crunchy onion strips and ranch dressing. Added by friend avocado he didn't want and it was just perfect."
"We walked into such a nice atmosphere nice fireplace very classy we ordered the nachos with the steak they were the best we ever had and such a big portion the steak was so tender delish next we had the burgers so bog and juicy best burger around the chicken wings fresh and crispy excellent this place is a must try you will not be disappointed"
"Cute eatery in the South End, but you definitely pay out the nose. Lunch for me and my cousin ended up being around $120 including tip (talk about sticker shock). I had been looking for a place that does one dollar oysters - Black Lamb has $2 oysters every weekday (all day on Monday and it ends at 5pm on Tuesday-Friday) - the ones we got that day were a tad on the puny side and quite briny. Overall, not my favorite, I'm partial to the West Coast ones. I also wasn't a fan of any of the three sauces they gave. Usually, I'm big into the cocktail sauce/horseradish, but they gave the two in the same cup and the ratio was too much horseradish, not enough cocktail sauce. We got the pickle plate and the parker house rolls with pimento cheese. The pickles didn't do it for me but I'm also not big on sour. The house rolls were the bomb - get the pimento cheese with it (the $4 was well-spent). The village salad was a tiny, tiny amount of vegetables for $16. Yes, I'm still bitter days later. I was thinking it might be big enough for an entree and wish I had thought to ask before putting in the order. I basically ate the whole thing in five minutes and watched my cousin devour her duck leg (which, incidentally, was quite a generous portion) for the rest of lunch. Surely, they could've coughed up some more heirloom tomatoes and cucumbers for that price? Our waiter was nice and personable! He gave ample warning about the bees in the outdoor area. Parking: It's the South End. Walk or take public transport instead."
"I went to La Brasa last week at 124 Broadway, Somerville, MA. This spot features a wide variety of elevated dishes from around the worldFor appetizers we had the beet salad which had beets, fennel, apple, and mustard. We also had the elote which is Mexican street corn and flautas which were fried tortillas with meat inside. Finally, for apps we had the deviled eggs which had onion and chipotle aioli. For main dishes we had the squid ink pasta. This pasta was so fresh and homemade (so if you like the taste of fish this one is for you!)For dessert we had the banana pudding with ice cream. This had a great balance of sweetness. Would order this again! My personal favorites we had were the the street corn and the deviled eggs. Each dish was elevated in such a way that you just wanted to eat more and more of it!This is the perfect spot to meet a friend or have a nice date. The ambiance is classy and romantic check it out if you are in the area!Affordability: 6/10Ambiance: 8/10Food: 8/10"
"Stopped by here twice while we were staying in the Liberty Hotel for dinner and breakfast. I love the theme through the restaurant and entire hotel. The fact they incorporated the jail theme was amazing. Starting with breakfast the food was good. Nothing was stand out, but everything was rather tasty. I did appreciate that the requests for items on the side were made. I know sometimes that can be annoying. Only downside was with other patrons. There was a group next to us that were so loud with a lot of children playing and throwing toys. It definitely tainted the experience however I know that doesn't have anything to do with the restaurant. Now we dinner it was amazing. The food did take a while to come out, but I think it was worth the wait. The starter bread hit the spot! Absolutely delicious along with the oysters. The meals are rather large, I think you could almost share. We had a table of four and if we could go back I would share three meals because we had a lot left over. Our waiter I believe his name was Ben was great. On top of our food orders and constantly refilling out drink. I would recommend if you are in the area or staying at the hotel. Can probably skip breakfast though. Overall 4/5 stars!"
"Excellent spot near Porter Square. I must say the food options in this area has really taken off. As a native to NY, I have high expectations and Season to Taste delivered. Favorites included the fried oysters (4 each order), half chicken (the crisp and flavor were fantastic!), and the mushroom app."

Years ago I feel in love with the pizza at the Urban Gourmet in Somerville. I heard the recipe transitioned to CS Cafe once the UG closed. I ordered a large cheese pizza a few years back from CS Cafe and it wasn't the same. I decided to try again with a small cheese pizza and it WAS the same! Indescribable crust, chewy, crispy and buttery. Similar to a South Shore bar pizza. IYKYK. Will go back again soon- thank you CS Cafe!!

We were attending a concert at the Roadrunner, and Rail Stop is incredibly convenient across the street. We knew we were in for a long night, and Rail Stop prepped us with delicious, filling meals. The steak tips are a generous portion of tender meat with a delicious bourbon sauce. They are accompanied by a large amount of green beans and fluffy, whipped cheesy mashed potatoes. My son really enjoyed the burger, with their house tomato jam and bread and butter pickles. The interior is clean and attractive, and the seating is comfortable for slow paced, relaxing conversation. In the bar, music was playing from the artist performing across the street, which helped set a nice vibe for the night.

My second time back, this time on a Sunday. Arrived just before the crowd at 8am. Our server, Brooke, was attentive and super friendly. We brought a friend from South Carolina. I love love love the tea service! We started with the daily donut hole special ( Meyer lemon) and OMG! Break off a bit of the dried lemon garnish and eat it with a bite of donut, and it's a party in your mouth! Our table ordered the farmhouse (eggs, bacon, home fries and toast), the fried chicken Benedict and I had the power bowl with sunny side eggs on top. My bowl was HUGE! The flavors of the largely veggie based interior was delicious, especially with the house made special sauce, but so large a portion, I took most of it home for later. Same with the Benedict--my sis ate one and took one! I tasted the crispy fried cutlet and it was very very tasty--seasoned in an atypical way but so addictive. I loved the Hollandaise sauce with Egyptian flair. Interior remains clean as a whistle and adorably decorated. Highly recommend! Visited the bakery shop next door, and all the pastries were expertly plated and of such high quality!

Fried calamari garnished with a few hot peppers, marinara and lemon. A home run! This has been the tastiest calamari I've had ever. The delicacy of the fish comes through with its nice light batter the right and the calamari melted in my mouth. Worth it to have on the table to be shared. Plenty of rings and tentacles. smoked salmon Benedict was really delicious with eggs delicately poached, the fresh salmon, the salad and the holiday and home fries make it a really delicious meal. my friend liked the avocado, toast and ordered scrambled eggs to go with it.I recommend this place. A limited menu, but mindfully prepared. Delicious.Server: Exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. Our server was efficient, polite and made our meal more enjoyable. She went out of her way to make sure our food was cooked the way we had asked. The views from Pier 6 has a gorgeous view of the Boston skyline looking across the harbor. Sometimes places that have the view have food that is subpar. Pier 6 brings both of these elements to their business and I hope they continue to do this. I recommend Pier 6, worth trying.

We weren't real hungry and this place was more than accommodating. The allowed us to split a full salad instead of pricier two small ones, and we loved the Bibb with goat cheese, radishes, apricots and toasted almonds. They even split it for us. We also ordered one cheeseburger with onions on brioche, which they also split, without our asking them to.We were so happy with our meal and our lovely server, Raquel (who wouldn't let us post her picture, and was even reluctant to give her name--not sure why because she is a great server), that we ordered a creme brulee--of course to split. It came to us with 2 spoons. We ate outside with a partial view but I think inside there can be a full view.We will be back.

I am on day 3 of a hunt for the best bowl of clam chowder in Boston. Today, we are at mission bar and grill and they delivered. This is a traditional American bar that honestly gave me a lot what I am asking for in a bowl of chowder. The ratio of potato to cream is perfect, allowing for a smooth, thiccc soup. My only complaint? There isn't enough clams for the play of textures of chunky potatoes, silky soup and chewy clam blending in my mouth. It is still a solid bowl though. So solid that I got another item in their menu to try - their shrimp scampi. While the dish is perfectly cooked and they knew how to use acidity to make it really pop the balance was unfortunately lacking. Will still be back for their chowder thk

Everything here was fantastic. Came after a game and the service, ambiance, food, etc was top notch. This will remain a staple when attended events at the garden.
Visit Restaurant Page"Their menu is eclectic, lots of various options (seafood, burgers, chicken, buffalo nachos). Great covered outdoor seating available. We started with the buffalo chicken dip, which was delicious, not too spicy. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich, which I felt was a little pricey at $20, but was quite tasty. I ordered the swordfish picata special, which was a decent size portion, but too lemony (that was the only flavor I could taste, and a lot of it); that may be personal preference, i just like a milder lemon/butter flavor vs. sucking on a lemon directly. We didn't have room for desert, but they had several options that sounded very good. Service was good. Luckily we got there just before the dinner rush, as they started filling up halfway through our meal."
"I had a delicious breakfast here. As a matter of fact I'd walked by it and wasn't sure, as a lot of hotel restaurants are just kinda there by default, but this place could've been its own stand alone spot and I would've come here.I recently had the pleasure of traveling and ended up enjoying breakfast at Artbar, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and I must say it was an experience worth writing about. From the moment I stepped in, the service was nothing short of fantastic. As I indulged in their delectable breakfast dishes, I found myself immersed in the tranquil morning ambiance of Boston. The added joy of solving a crossword puzzle while savoring each bite only enhanced the experience. Something about problem solving and waffles that ties it all together. Speaking of the dishes, each one surpassed the last in terms of flavor and presentation, all while being reasonably priced. And let's not forget about the coffee - it was constantly refilled, ensuring that my morning started on the perfect note. I was told it was Colombian and let's face it, the answer was yes right away. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend giving Artbar a try. Whether you opt for dining in or enjoying the convenience of room service, you're in for a treat old sport"
"(Dine Out Boston, August 2022)It would probably come as no surprise that I love dining out. But why? To try things I couldn't make at home. If I can make something, it is about a new interpretation/execution. I also enjoy good service and hospitality. Case in point: breakfast: I am lukewarm about IHOP but adore The Farmer's Daughter (Easton, MA).At Henrietta's Table, the execution, interpretation, and service were on point! I absolutely want to make a return visit. That's five stars in my book - exceeded expectations and a desire to return. I had the opportunity to try the following:- Maine Rock Crab and Corn Chowder- Pig Under a Brick- Pie of the Day- HT GreyhoundThe Maine Rock Crab and Corn Chowder was excellent. It was hearty, savory, flavorful, and well-balanced. They did not skimp on the ingredients (esp. seafood) but did not go overboard. It also did not go too heavy on the salt or the sugar (as corn chowders sometimes tend to do).Pig Under a Brick was a surprising delight. While this resembles pulled pork, while tender, I typically look for sauce. Here, they used watermelon on top, and it was served on a bed of veggies. If enjoyed together, the veggies and watermelon combine stupendously, and the sauce seems like something best left at the BBQ. This is a terrific interpretation of pulled pork, coming from someone who is not a fan of watermelon! The Pie of the Day is not to be missed if you are even remotely a pie lover. The crust was spectacular, crisp, and flaky. Puts those supermarket pies to shame! The filling was terrific as well and was warm (IIRC). Really gave it fresh feelings. Ice cream was a nice touch, too, as a means of balancing out the warmth of the pie. Added some creamy notes as well!HT Greyhound was a well put together drink! It had good strength/booziness, a little sweet, a little tart, a little savory, and very refreshing! Gin isn't my spirit of choice, but this drink makes it work. Then there's the service! It was attentive, fast, and all-around very professional. Service doesn't usually make or break a place, but it is nice to be well taken care of when going out. Also, I miss the brunch buffet, and I wish Henrietta's Table would bring it back!"
"Pretty good spot. Drinks were great, ambience is the cool side of Amazon's home decor, hummus plate was pretty good. Prices are reasonable but on the high end.The service was fantastic. Down to earth, personable, and gave great recommendations for what to order. Highlights included their award-winning cocktail (I forget the name, I think it had elderflower? Maybe lavender?) and the truffle deviled eggs. We asked for the bacon in the side and received a generous portion. 4 stars for it not really pushing the boundaries much when it comes to the experience. I kind of expected more exciting things on the menu based on the look of the place online. Nevertheless, I was happy and would maybe go back if I didn't have anything else to try!"
"This place is a paradox -- all food and drinks is ordered through the Toast app. Its cumbersome to say the least. But we got through it. The service and food to table was slow. There is next to zero interaction with the one wait staff person. Other than to seat us and ask if we had questions. The food was good. She had a burger and I had a falafel wrap. The sandwiches were very good, the fries very good too -- nice crisp. The other part is this place is expensive --- entrees are almost $20, beers, $8. And thats a lot for a burger and a wrap. Would I go back, likely not. Do I think the food was delicious, yup hence the 4 vs 3 stars. Better options in JP for less money."
"This place is located inside the Boston Park Plaza. It was a long day and we decided to just dine in the hotel. The restaurant is right in the the center of the lobby. Kinda in an open area. I chose the lobster roll with steak fries. Now that was delicious! I savored every morsel. Our server was nice and kudos to the chef."
"I could not visit Boston without trying Boston Cream Pie, and what better place I thought than the place that claims to have invented it? When I initially read that the Omni Parker House Hotel's claim to fame was creation of the pie, I was a little confused since it was a hotel and wondered if you had to be a guest to try it. After some quick research, I found that Last Hurrah, the onsite bar, served it. Needless to say, I made my way over to the hotel for a little dessert. Last Hurrah is immediately to the left when you enter Omni Parker House. Like the hotel itself, the bar has an upscale aesthetic with lots of earth tones, woods, and high-end finishes. Theres' a variety of seating types available, including tables, lounge areas, and the bar. It was kinda busy when I arrived but was able to snag a seat at the bar and started to browse the menu. They had a decent variety of drinks and food - I decided on a drink and ordered the Boston Cream Pie. The drink was good - I had the Hemingway Special which was smooth and had good flavor. I was disappointed in the pie - the cake was dry, and the cream wasn't smooth - almost like it was split or something. I expected more from the place that claims to have invented the dessert - but like other instances, the original isn't always the best. Service was good, the bartender was friendly and made sure I was taken care of. Overall, I would come back to Last Hurrah for another drink and to try more of their food, but I would seek Boston Cream Pie elsewhere."
"Really cool bar above the restaurant A&H, though I'd come back on a less busy day of the week. We went on a Thursday evening and the place was absolutely slammed. (Also, if you're a total newbie like me, don't go around the corner outside below the Longfellow sign, you'll just see a staircase leading down to the basement. You need to go inside the restaurant above the sign Brattle Hall and the bar is upstairs. I popped in and asked the hostess where Longfellow was and she very coolly told me I was already here. Whoops.)We put in 3/4 of our drink orders well before this massive group swept through and went out onto the rooftop deck, but didn't get most of our drinks until maybe half an hour to 45 minutes later. I didn't mind since we were all catching up, but it did feel like we were forgotten about, when our waitress started bartending too (or mixing ... I forget whether bartenders at cocktail bars prefer to be called mixologists instead). One of our party ordered a drink a few minutes after the rest of the group did and she just never got her drink. Seems maybe they go drink by drink rather than table by table? Given how long we waited by then, she just cancelled her drink and we all opted to not order a second round, which is a shame, since the ingredients and combos all sounded pretty inventive. Mine was good, a tad on the sweet side. The setting is beautiful - the seats at the horseshoe bar would be great for a date or relaxing dinner. We didn't order any of the food. All in all, check it out if you don't have anywhere else to be/aren't falling asleep by 9pm (I'm guilty of the second one, for sure)."
"Food was great! Giant portions. We shared some dishes. For a family of 11 we were seated promptly. The feel of restaurant was cozy and in a brick building on a corner street. We had a variety of dishes which included blueberry pancakes, sweet and salty sandwich, french toast with raspberry and cream cheese, sausage/egg breakfast sandwich, banana bourbon french toast, uber full crudite french toast, crab omelet, lobster Benedict, breakfast burrito, chicken waffle sliders and A meat lovers omelet. We also had several coffee orders, cappuccino and soda orders. Our waiter gave us excellent service and kept the cups full."
"GREAT chicken pesto melt, GREAT meatball sub., GREAT cocktail price$ and selection. Ask for The Last Word!!! Cozy, shady location outside, A/C comfort inside /downstairs!!!"
"Stopped in on an autumn evening for a late weekday dinner. Really nice space. Casual but stylish design. Small bar crowd watching sports, couples eating at tables in the back. Delicious salad and burger. Will be back when we are in the neighborhood."
"Came in with a friend on the Friday night of Labor Day weekend, we needed dinner and drinks and she had been here once before (my first time). While 7pm on a Friday in Newton Corner can sometimes be crazy, we parked right out front but they have free parking in the garage if you need it.We sat at the bar (always fun and better people-watching!), I don't know the bartender's name but she had dark blonde/brown hair in a ponytail and glasses, she was very nice and had our great drinks ready right away. We both ordered cheeseburgers and the fries were AMAZING (herbs with butter, I think???). While my burger wasn't the medium-well that I ordered, it was so juicy and delicious that I didn't mind the pink at all (obviously, due to my empty plate).People came in and out all night, both from the street as well as the connected hotel. Great crowd, food and staff here so I will definitely be back!"
"food was okay. service was friendly. my ravioli were chewy. not my favorite, but not the worst. But!!! $31 for 4 gummy ravioli and a few nubs of chicken were NOT worth the price. i ate one gummy ravioli."
"Just moved to the Boston area and celebrated our anniversary here. The clam chowder was excellent NE, and the French Onion soup was classic. I had the baked oysters, which was a first for me and I'd return for them as well as the mussels! We had the special Sea Bass and the Seafood Risotto, both large portions and excellent! Their special Old Fashion was made the same way as my all time favorite of bourbon on the rocks with an orange slice or twist but made perfect muddled with sugar and cherries. The Old Fashioned and wine were huge free pours.Reservations are difficult to get, so plan early and let them respond with availability. The large private parking lot is not large enough!! Cars were overflowing to the side street! Will return for sure!"
"Found place through a Yelp search for breakfast spot. We were here Sunday morning around 8. Place was fairly empty. We sat outside. Service was fast.We ordered typical breakfast food. Breakfast food is cooked fast, but this place might have set a record. It felt like less than 5 minutes. Eggs and sausage were great. My daughter enjoyed the pancakes with strawberries on top. She played great soccer later that morning so maybe we give credit to the food? This place is on the second floor which is called floor 1. I walked right by the sign that told us where to go."
"I'm quite curious as to why the Westin decided to have a "Burger Bistro" as their main restaurant, which seems to conflict a bit with their glimmering blue glass hotel landmark visible from 128. My company loves using the hotel ballrooms for meetings and firm wide trainings since parking is free and it's a relatively more accessible location than crowding everyone into Boston. Maybe they are going for the gourmet burger image like a Five Napkin? Anyway I wasn't in the mood for a burger while eating with some co-workers so I just ordered a side salad and their chili. My colleagues ordered the largest looking burger and a veggie burger. They looked tasty enough and the fries looked normal. I feel like I've been on such a burger kick lately that it's difficult to impress me with my new gold standard (Black Iron Burger). The server seemed a bit confused at some of our questions but he placed the orders in. We sat near the windows and quite honestly they are super drafty! I felt a chill the entire time from the lack of insulation. We had a great view of the I-95 afternoon traffic. During lunch on a Thursday there were only a few tables occupied. I can't imagine anyone ever coming here specifically for the restaurant. It's more a convenience factor if you are already here. The chili helped warm me up from the polar vortex chill and the salad was just a plain side to fulfill my nutritional needs."
"Really great place to grab some apps and a drink. We came here after picking out a Christmas tree across the lot. Burrata was a 10/10. Croquettes we're very good as well. The drink that was served hot was DELICIOUS. The raspberry drink is a one and done for me."
"Amazing dirty chai martini! This was my first time here since new ownership. The menu has a lot of diner items like before but with an Indian flair. My friend and I both ordered breakfast for dinner. I had the French toast with berries & and she had the waffle with 2 eggs. The French toast was delicious, I loved the extra spice (cardamom/cinnamon). Service was great and we were both very happy with our meals & cocktails.I will definitely come back and try their dinner items. The fried chicken we saw other people eating looked so good!!"
"I was a bit confused with my bar experience at the Cellar. A mix between a pirate's cove with rock covered walls, "Yar, the Cellar" and a wine cellar, yeah it is really downstairs. The vibe was pretty chill, almost like being in a cafe with a young hip crowd of art school kids as well as the opposite of what may have been ex-theater leaguers ( very dramatic convos going on there). The drinks weren't particular impressive or particularly expensive. A favorite "Whiskey and Ginger" was $5.00 served in a small juice glass disappointing to the eye, but not to the taste with half of it being alcohol. Yohoho! Just like the location (between Central and Harvard) my overall experience, was in between pleasant and dull. Even though, the place was packed (we must have been breaking some fire hazard safety code), we found a seat relatively fast. Fries smelled delicious with herb season on what appeared to be a McDonalds style cut. The Cellar might be the right location for a week night drink. For a Fri and Sa seemed rather dull and could have more luck either in Central or Harvard."
"Great location. Was visiting my daughter in Cambridge n didn't know where to go n this place was able to accommodate us. Drinks are great. Prices reasonable."
"Great food, drinks, service and ambiance. Not much more to say. I'll definitely be back."
"Nothing kicks off the weekend like a little Friday night rage-caging in the lobby of an East Cambridge office building.Raise the roof! WOOP WOOP Staple these documents! WOOP WOOPLocation aside, the spac... you know what? Location NOT aside. It's a bar that caters to a very specific group: employees in said building or residents of the Archstone village that never came to be. And based on the shoulder to shoulder post-5pm crowd, they're fine with that. As a destination though, be wary of short parking. The beer may be cheap (according to my drinking buddies) but well drinks run an average $7. I'd love to return for the fabled nachos, mounds of which passed by with an almost scheduled regularity, assaulting the nose with savory smells of salty fry and the eyes with drippy, melted goop. The space offers nothing. Open, empty, unadorned. Boulders near the main entrance give a "Honey I Shrunk The Kids and lost them in a Zen garden" feel. I joked to Ellen S, "It's like a cafeteria in here." Her reply: "It is a cafeteria." Oh right.Of note and to earlier reviews, women outnumber men 4 to 1. Happy hunting."
"Out running errands, we needed a bit to eat to keep the energy going. We stopped at this tavern as it was less than a block from the butchery we needed to run to. Sat at the bar, Emma, the bartender, was great and swift with getting us water and a drink order going. Hubs had the Sam Summer; the lemon wedge was a nice twist, he said. I got the berry Cosmo, which is strong but really tasty. It came with a lil carafe to top off my drink when ready. For an app, we shared the Philly steak and cheese egg rolls. hubby said it took him back to childhood. They were very tasty, not greasy. I did need to add a hit of salt, though. Otherwise, def a repeat order next time. Since it was lunchtime, we decided to split a pasta dish. We opted for the scallop and shrimp dish; I can't remember the sauce name, and it's not on the online menu lol... But it was a light wine and garlic sauce that perfectly coated the pasta. The seafood was cooked to perfection and the asparagus in the dish was my favorite of the whole dish, blanched to perfection! We loved the vibe here.We will be back!"
