Mak's Roast Beef & Pizza

Probably the best roast beef sandwich I've had in my 65 years.And I lived almost next to Kelly's Roast Beef in Revere Beach for a couple of years

Great sandwich, and I consider myself a connoisseur of roast beef sandwiches. The RB was tender and rare, great portion size too. Loved the onion roll and slightly spicy BBQ sauce. The great service was a bonus!!

Super roast beef alot of roast beef. Decent sandwich, too much barbecue sauce ... should have asked for light sauce... roast beef tender , could have used more flavor or juice.. onion roll fresh grill toasted. 13.70 Overall good sandwich, but too much for me... regular size would have been enough

Absolute heaven!I scream, you scream, we all scream for...roast beef? Well, I do anyway. Mak's has been my roast beef go-to for a decade now. I live in downtown Boston's Ladder Blocks area, but I used to live in Norwood and still do a bunch of errands down there. So I try to swing by Mak's every time I'm in the area. It looks like just another neighborhood takeout pizza joint. But with "roast beef" in the name, they better bring the goods...and they do! High quality rare roast beef, shaved and served warm on a delicious, slightly toasted sesame seed bun. My default ingredients are LTM + horseradish sauce, but you can combo this up any way you want.The dine-in situation consists of just a few basic booths - nothing special. Norwood Town Common is just two blocks over and a great place to hang if it's warm out. Prices are fine and the kitchen is pretty quick. If you're a roast beef aficionado and you haven't tried Mak's yet, then this place definitely deserves a look, and a scream!

We brought our own vegan cheese and they made us a vegan pizza! Great job. The crust was crisp and there was no flop.

Service is about as friendly as the ones you'd expect at MCI-Cedar Junction with no masking in sight and no warmth of any kind.I'll go ahead and ignore their inappropriate sign trying to blame president Biden's administration for the rise in food costs, which is incredibly inaccurate and would require a lengthy lesson in logistics and supply chains and will instead focus on the food.The pepperoni pizza was fine, the tuna sub was fine but I was not that impressed with my Jr. Roast Beef sandwich. It was okay but I've had much better at Georgio's in Brockton. Also their online ordering makes it impossible to select mayo+bbq sauce since it forces only 1 choice on there per order which is absurd considering that a 3-way roast beef sandwich is the standard.Lastly, my Greek salad. I had asked for extra pepperoncini, only to get home, open my bag and find half a pepperoni stick on there on top of my salad. Who in their right mind wants pepperoni on a salad?Yikes. No thank you.

Doesn't look much from the road. But those can be the best places.... one thing that the Boston area is known for is roast beef. Which is a roast beef sandwich on a deli roll. I ended up ordering super roast beef. Largest of the sandwich sizes... I got the works on it. Onions, peppers. Mushrooms. Lettuce and tomato.. the roast beef itself is a housemaid and was absolutely flavorful and delicious!!! I was so happy I picked this place. Which I just stumble upon by driving around the area!

Very dissapointing. I've had plenty of chicken parmesean hot sub sandwiches, this one was terrible. Chicken was chewy, tough, and full of sinewy gristle like meat. The cheese, and sauce was nothing to remember, and little if any sauce on it really. Overall tasteless. The bread was ok, so I should have just eaten the bread. The next day, after the "chicken parm" worked through my digestion, it did again remind me how horrible it was. First time, and last time. Not going back. Don't serve this kind of food if youre not serious.

Food is good but the service/counter help is horrible. They charge extra for a slice of cheese AND charge extra if you use a credit card. Roast beef competition just opened up over on Route 1 in Dedham, I'll go there instead.
